I really want this machine . But heard some bad reviews about it 😢
I had the older version of the Conqueco and it worked fine initially but now ‘ruptures’ the pods every time we use it making the espresso undrinkable (as full of granules). Am now awaiting delivery of the Outin as reviews that this have persuaded me to give it a try!
It's nice to have an option which isn't a massive cheap looking plastic beast sitting on the counter. It looks classy and hard-wearing.
Sums it up perfectly. Nice one
£200-250? They're selling them on the website for £295
ALWAYS wait for a Grind sale. Happens regularly. I got a One machine and 3 packs of coffee for under £250
Outin
I got the conqueco first. Cheaper and more brews per charge. Sent it back for one reason which you didn’t mention. It doesn’t come with a ground coffee option. They sell one separately and it was out of stock, but that brings the total price right up beyond the outin. Otherwise I agree. The outin looks better, is lighter and more compact AND the option to use your own coffee grinds is included!
I put a slice of folded kitchen towel under my coffee machine after making coffee on the drip tray it catches all them annoying drips :)
thankyou! finally a good video on how to do it
Been considering getting this but was worried it would be too noisy so your demo was super helpful. There’s a 25% discount just now so went ahead & got it. Thanks for a useful video!
Glad it helped. I use mine every day, superb machine.
Any issues with dripping like some other reviews suggest? You have had for some time now right. Thanks for review. Very helpful.
I did see that from others but I get some but none more than other machines I have. Any dripping that does happen can instantly be stopped by emptying the pod out.
@@TheCoffeePodChannel Think the issue from some reviews was the constant leaking / dripping of water as opposed to the coffee drips. But based on your comment that does not seem to be an issue for you. Thanks again for your help.
Ah! No. None of that at all
have made couple coffees so far, my first ones. First latte was with too much water, wrong glass choice :D but now i get correct size mugs and in just a minute I can already enjoy my morning coffee. btw , that cleaning they show on manual at first, should I clean it before every use ?
Good one. You don’t need to clean it every time. I flushed it through every week or so (that was with 1 or 2 coffees a day) and descaled it when required (I have a video on how to do that). HTH
Double click button if using hot water, long press is for cold and starting the water boil function first. Guess it doesn't matter as it seems to work but not as per instruction.
Yeah, thanks for the comment, habit on my part, just make sure it’s the temp every time.
looking to buy this if I can use other pods that come cheap now and again
Yes you can. I’ve tested with Grind, Wonky, Nespresso own, Asda, Tesco, Lidl, Aldi and Sainsbury’s. All work fine.
Is that additionnal basket 51 or 49mm ? i have a 49mm sitting at home and really curious if i could use it intstead of the Outin one. (Coming from picopresso)
You can find all the info on it here : outin.com/products/nano-portable-espresso-machine-basket-pro I’ll be lookin into stats more in a later review.
Did you try the Cera+ ?
I haven’t yet. I’m slowly making my way through them.
Hi I’ve always had Nespresso machines and I’m scared to change however this looks easy for a 80 year old to use what do you think Cheers Robyn
Hello Robyn, This would be fine. Literally out of the box all you need to do is put a pod in, close the flap and press one button. You CAN change it if you need too, but Id be happy without having to do that, so think this would be fine.
I have an outin and it’s great. Best away-from-home coffee. Might upgrade to bigger filter basket
When I mean away-from-home I mean compared to coffee bags or aeropress
Good video. I have the case and basket pro. The case, I took out the pods holder and there I put my grinder. I can put the pods somewhere else. I can fit the Outin, grinder, pod attachment, basket pro and a small scale in the case. Its snug but works.
That’s superb. Great idea 👏🏻
I accidentally didn't screw the bottom bit probably so it tilted when trying to make a coffee, I took the black part of and underneath the actual machine was left over water, is that normal or have I damaged it?
I think it sounds ok. Just give it a good clean and try again 👍🏻
Any chance you can let me know the weight of the stand thx
Of course, I’ll do it soon and let you know.
485g for all 5 pieces in total. HTH
You need to use the WDT tool they sent you to break up any coffee clumps.... Channelling etc.
👍🏻 Normally use my Orbit but for the purposes of the vid I took the hit. I didn’t even use my espresso scales to weigh 16g.
@@TheCoffeePodChannelBut you did see there was a WDT in the kit?
Very clear instructions. Thank you!
When you fill with hot water you don’t need press 2” for self-heater, but you can press 2x the button for direct pump for extraction..
Saving myself time. Sweet.
Thanks for the review. It was very helpful in my decision-making process. 😊
Great vid and excellent review.
Glad you enjoyed it
It's kind of odd to not make it so you can rest it on the cup that it comes with. Seems like a logical feature that's missing.
It is. I find you can leave it on but just a bit worried about doing it. But they also have an accessory that rests it above the cup so 🤷♂️ dunno. Like you say, odd
In Ireland - ordered my Wonky Coffee 27 May and it arrived today - 28th. Very pleased. I got a sheet with mine with tasting notes on each different colour pod.
The “menu” is their new addition. Very nice.
Love the 🐝 mug of your wife, by the way 😀
Good and enthusiastic review. Well explained. Thanks! What did you think of the temperature? Is it the same as a Nespresso machine or less?
It’s as hot as any other I’ve used 👍🏻
They`re a brilliant little machine, we love it, thanks so much for the video!
didn't show them brewing!
That’s in the other one. Needless to say the same (hence the vid).
I just have a question about the lever ..how does it feel .. ‘plasticy’ or sturdy ?
It’s definitely sturdy feeling.
Thanks for doing this video and thanks for saying how hot is it bcs most of them aren’t hot enough that l had to put the coffee back in the microwave
My Nespesso machine packed after about 6 years. I've had this machine coming up for a week. Got this because there was an offer £79.99 for 200 pods and a "free" machine. My wife has said that the flavour of the pods, especially the XL are quite tasty. No worse than Nespesso pods. The lack of pre-heat is a tiny bit of annoyance compared to our old machine. You can't stop midway. Sometimes she may want to do another shot with the same pod just to add a bit more but then want to stop half way if the mug/cup is near full. It does leak a bit more than our older machine too. However it's about half the price that we paid 6 years a go! As long as it lasts 3 years, then I can't complain.
Lovely short explanation. Very practical. Daft question - how does one know when it needs descaling?
Cheers. When both coffee buttons flash it’s telling you it needs a descale. Or they say it should be done every 3 months. HTH
This machine is rubbish. 5 months old and regularly descaled, yet it no longer dispenses the correct amount of coffee and is only warm when finished. Will be on the phone to l'or in the morning to demand a refund as not fit for service.
Shame yours is no good. Good luck with the refund. I’ve dealt with l’or and they take some pestering.
Thank you that was very helpful
I have the Conqueco. Cost £80. Heats SEVEN brews on one charge easily! I'm not precious with it and it goes hiking everywhere with me. Still amazing after a year, with everyday use.
Good to hear yours works like that. I’ve never got more than 4 😬
The name is more like H-wur’s-trand (aspirate the H, wur like fur)
You mentioned the Conqueco sometimes doesn't pierce the pod. Does the Outin have the same issue or is it good everytime?
Good everyone so far. I’ve made a comparison video which helps show the differences.
I’m thinking of this one to replace my Krups. Nice vid
How do you program your machine for more water
It’s in the manual and off the top of my head (I don’t use this machine any more). You just hold the button down til you have your desired amount then let go and it remembers it
Just out of interest, which machine do you use now?@@TheCoffeePodChannel
Great comparison. It would be great to see your view on a manual device like the Wacaco Minipresso NS2.
Cheers. That’s the plan, getting a Wacaco soon 👍🏻
Good to see you read insteuctions and used the air tube first before use. Many didnt.
To prevent dripping i eject the pod whilst cup still in situ and its stops, my drip tray rarely gets wet or dirty for this reason, love this machine though
Good to know 👍🏻
Does it comes with a removable battery , maybe after time of daily use afttects on performance Available Spare parts ?
The batteries are built in and non removable.
@TgeCoffeePodChannel Can you please let me know the address you contacted Kotlie on ? Mine has stopped drawing water and I cannot open the pod holder . This is after just 5 weeks ! So I can no longer return to Amazon
Hi there, I did it all through Amazon messages.
@TheCoffeePodChannel thank you I have just done the same . I am gutted as the machine was great . We hadn't experienced the taste issues you had . But to lock like that and stop drawing water is not good . Is there any other multi pod ( dolce gusto and espresso type) that you'd recommend ?
We have got an OutIn on the way to us.
Good one 👍🏻
I just bought this machine and I absolutely love it !!! Your review helped me make the decision to buy this machine over all the other ones on the market. Thank you for this honest review !!!
Glad it helped. Good machine this amd surprisingly one of the cheapest!!
Can you descale it with vinegar?
I advise not too. Says use only tablets or solution and vinegar may cause it to change the smell/taste of the coffee
