You are channeling my exact emotions, thank you!! I just discovered Jason 2 weeks ago, and it feels like my life has now changed. I hope you also watch some of his master classes and interviews too. He is a beautiful soul, and a brilliant philosopher wise beyond his years. Coincidentally, he is playing in my area (Philly) in 5 days and I already have tickets. Plus I bought tickets to his Denver show in May and bought a “meet and greet” upgrade! So excited. I hope you get a chance to see him. If you post a “go fund me,” I’ll contribute!

Most of music is popular because of the repetitiveness of both our heartbeats and our labors. LITPT is an advanced example of this. It’s not Beethoven, but it’s something you can run through your mind during a breakup or a crisis of spirit, because you’re human.. And it helps.

Welcome to the club. Even if you headphones are simple, I first time listened to on of his last songs on a simple smartphone and it blew my mind. Better qualitiy means more depth, but sometimes art can be perceived at many different levels. Most of the time I can not understand like more than 10% of what is going on. And talking about Jacob it´s maybe even less. So whatever I have to listen is enough. And I will not loose the moment in time. So go for his Cover of "Brigde over troubled waters". Just do it. Try to react to it. Do it for yourself. Record and decide then if you want to publish. But just do it for yourself. You deserve it. <3

Literally same thing in Katowice, Poland. I ended up at the back of the venue with my ears plugged and then the sound was actually recognizable 😂 I have no idea what the sound engineers were thinking but that was quite unacceptable for a band of their caliber, especially considering Steven is such a sound perfectionist

Hey again Ivan - enjoying your journey through the album. You mentioned a couple of times now you were thinking this may be a concept album. It is and understanding the concept would really help you to get more out of the album. The whole album is based on a short story written by Steven himself which you can find in his autobiography from 2022 called Limited Edition of One. I highly recommend you get yourself a copy of the book and read the story. It is the 2nd last chapter from memory and it is called The Harmony Codex. So much more of the song style, lyrical content and structure of the whole album suddenly make so much more sense if you have this story and the concepts in it in your head before listening. As a classic example of this - you mentioned specifically the rising "boring" piano scale in this track. This is central to the whole theme of the album which you will also notice in the logo on the front of the album. The never-ending staircase that represents life. The building it is set against on the front of the album is also central to the theme. I would also highly recommend you jump on KZread and watch the offical film clips for the 5 tracks he has released from this album to date: What Life Brings, Economies of Scale, Impossible Tightrope, Rock Bottom and Beautiful Scarecrow. You also mentioned 3 songs in and no drums? the 2nd track What Life Brings uses acoustic drums - no electronic in it. Tracks 1 and 3 yes I agree. Track 1 we have already discussed: a total disaster and I actually think thrown together in about an hour..... but you could not possibly have anything but the electronic on Economies. It was a loop that his long time friend and touring keyboardiest Adam Holzman came up with and suggested to Steven he may be interested in doing something with. If I am not too late - or even if you have been right through the whole album already. Go and read the story, watch the film clips and then perhaps react again - at least perhaps to those which have the official video clips? Keep up the great work and congrats on the job. It really does seem to suit you. You seem much more content, happy and settled in yourself since "coming back".

Great to see and hear you back Ivan. You have been missed. But you are too nice a guy in your reaction here 🙂 I dont know WHAT the great SW was thinking with this track - lets be frank - it is puss. But good news for you is - it is by FAR the worst track on the album. I think it just may be his greatest album to date, but why on earth would you start it with this disaster? The only other track on the album that just doesnt work for me unfortunately is the title track. But if you havent got to that one yet I wont taint your expectations. The other 8 tracks are totally BOFFO! REALLY looking forward to hearing your reactions over the next few days if you are planning on working your way through the whole masterpiece. Welcome back and keep up the good work!
