Hey there Jacob. Hope all is well with you and family. I have a 5.5 Honda on a 1996 North Star splitter. I run it at full throttle just because it is really slow. I am pretty sure I can run it for at least 3-4 hrs on a tank. Because it is slow and want small splits it takes close to 2 hours to get a stacked tote. I love that splitter but it is slow. I take care of things and have done absolutely nothing with the motor. It starts on every 1-2 pulls unless it is below zero . It’s been a very busy summer as most of us know. I just haven’t had time to make videos or even watch videos. Happy Fathers Day my friend. Later

I can split 1 1/4 cords of bundle wood, and a little over 2 1/2 of heating/boiler wood on a tank. That’s letting it run til it runs out of gas. I have the HD with GX 200 running at half throttle.

I believe that it was when you participated in HWM’s “Face Cord Challenge” that I mentioned the fact of your Super Splitter’s fuel efficiency. Given the cost of fuel, that’s a pertinent factor. Old Blue that I use might get 2/3 of a cord on a tank, but that may be due to the fact of my inefficiency and not its lol

@@TwinCityFirewood I started my business with an old 15 ton Northern Tool hydraulic machine & switched to a Countyline 28 ton. Now I have a Supersplit HD, best decision I ever made!! I really can’t find any info out there but how often do you grease the bearings on the rack & pinion under the cowling?

@@TwinCityFirewood I started my business with an old 15 ton Northern Tool hydraulic machine & switched to a Countyline 28 ton. Now I have a Supersplit HD, best decision I ever made!! I really can’t find any info out there but how often do you grease the bearings on the rack & pinion under the cowling?
@@codylea3633 I grease them 1-2 times a year and also I put a little grease on the rack at that time too. I asked Mr. Paul @ SS this question over the phone and that’s the answer he gave me. Hope this helps!!
