0:01-0:07 it’s interesting how the dinosaurs had hopeful smiles on their faces when Captain Neweyes offered Professor Screweyes a chance at redemption, but when he refuses, they show faces of disappointment. It’s like, even though he kidnapped their friends, strong armed them into being in the circus, and drugged them, they knew he probably had some good in him.

This scene makes even more sense when you read Stephen's King "The Dark Half". Screweyes isn't just Neweyes' brother, but more of a negative counterpart that ceases to exist once he loses his rason d'etre. And of course, both Screweyes and Stark become bird poop (incidentally, crows and sparrows are closely related).

I thought A Dinosaurs Story was supposed to be a silly kid's movie about dinosaurs being brought to the present and given sentience. Why did that give me, an adult man, chills? That's horrifying. If I'd seen that as a kid, it would've stuck with me forever.
