    Thanks for the video. Looks like I'm 6 years late to the party. Tried to install those same oil cooler lines in my 2010 MT Base today and was like screw it, these crooked pipes are not both going through that maze to get to the front. I'll come up with something else, probably removing the crooked solid metal ends, snaking the flexible lines through, then reattaching the metal ends. Or something!

    I fixed my grounding problem by running a grounding wire all the way (through the frame) from the tail lights to the plug. It eliminates all possible failure points.

    Don’t buy the K&N cold charge pipe kit, it’s bs. They trying to save money by not making the little rubber elbow piece too short by 1/2” and the metal clamps are 1/2” too short as well. Fucking hell cmon K&N. I’ll give you $5 more dollars to not make this shit a struggle fest!!!

    Just bought this for my ktm 300… Definitely taking this back asap. Ramp is way too steep, especially with my 3/4 ton truck factory receiver hitch height. Once bike is in place, trust me, it’s a pain in the rear to get out! Loading bike on is not easy either. This video failed to mention this important fact.

    Thanks for the input. I caught the conversation in comments about the slider in the carb wearing. Is that pretty common and what solutions are there other than buying new? Dealer is $187 if they can get it. Unfortunately it also sounds like this machine has already had the OEM carb replaced with aftermarket. Any advice for finding a reasonably priced OEM (eBay not looking good)?

    Great overview b/c I’m looking at one right now to possibly buy. It does need new pull cord & cover panel for that side, but the carb sounds like a big issue on this one. Starts & idles (electric) just fine, no smoke. But doesn’t throttle or ramp rpm well. I’d like to share the video of this that I got today and see what you have to say. Called local Kawasaki to see what OEM carb might cost & check availability. It’s not (2003-4 I think) anymore. Carb slide is but almost $200 now. Looks like lots of universal near fit Chinese carbs are available online, I think that’s what’s on it now too. Advice?

  • @RaztechPowersports
    @RaztechPowersports19 күн бұрын

    @@MichaelHoleman-v2h clean the OEM carb and you will be fine. Main jet is probably clogged. I always stay away from cheap aftermarket carburetors, they typically are not jetted correctly.

    Does this have the single line slave cylinder, or the slave with the bleeder screw? I have an 02 explorer with a manual, and the slave just has 1 line in. There's a bleeder on the firewall, but I don't see how that clears air out of the slave, which is downstream from the bleeder. Every video I see is for bleeding the slave with the bleeder screw. I'll try this and see if it helps, but I still have to bleed my slave somehow
