Bro, why wouldn’t you show the order of how you connected them?
Thanks, appreciate the confidence you just gave me in my purchase.
Great informational video. Just purchased the 2x Falcon kit for my 2001 GEM E825. Adding new lithium charger, what did you do with the interlock and temp sensor wires the were on existing charger? Also, any issues using existing 72v to 12v converter?
it's not charging with 10 amps. the panel may OUTPUT 10 amps under ideal conditions, but at a lower voltage. The charge controller is BOOSTING the lower voltage up so the current will go DOWN. It might be charging with an amp or 2, so maybe 100W. You see to get 10 amps of charge, you would need a 500-600 watt solar array. Simple math really, google Ohms Law.
Great video! Please keep us posted on performance, and don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything.
I have a 2008 ez go. All of the sudden when I turn the key on the box under the seat makes a couple abnormal chirps and then does nothing. (Won’t go in forward or reverse) any idea what could have went bad? Thanks.
Very nice video. I am about to convert my EZGO Mpt1000 to Lithium and was looking for a site that had the ability to explain the whole install which this one did. I bought a 48 Volt charger on Amazon for about a hundred dollars and will use that instead of Dakotas charger trying to minimize expense. Thank you for posting this.
Does he run his Ac off of batteries? I was wondering how long and well they would last. Thanks
that Battery Neglect should be reported to the Proper Authorities !! Thanks for the Video n Content : )
I gotta tell ya Jeff, there is No Difference between all the batteries displayed. 😮 They All Suck nowadays ! ! 😂😂😂😢😂😂😂. I soul know sir. Because I bought a red one 3 years ago from Autozone. Payed $225. I won't be doing that ever again.
Not enough information. SG needs to be corrected for ambient temp. Some hydrometers have a means to do this; many do not.
I just bought two 460 AH batteries also. I bought two sets of brackets. I noticed your batteries are pushed together. Did you have a bracket between them? How did you hold them in place in between the batteries?
Brackets in-between
How did this go? Is there enough power?
Small gain in range
Can you test you gem cart without batteries, i explain, if i put the car in jacks ans plug a 72-75 volt wire that should make this car go, the reason why im asking i just bought it ans I don't want to spend money iin find out that was not the problem.. let me know thx
a 81VDC power supply will power on the electronics so you can test the function
@@DeepcyclebatterystoreSanDiego , I appreciate it very much your answering me,, sorry for my ignorance where can I get one of those ? Thanks
@@azlisllc we don't have, sorry
Hey bud I have a question, if you put the cart in jacks can you run a cart without batteries? The reason why I am asking is to test the golf cart before you spend money getting batteries and find out that was not the problem I am a tech myself not for this gem carts but I do understand a couple things, so if a plug 72 volts wire, that's should make this cart go, but I asking you since you are a tech for . Thx
What size is the shunt

Deep Cycle Battery San Diego, This is great! I liked it and subscribed!
The Optima blue top seems to have very limited c2 deep cycle capacity, for its size. Need three of them, as against two of any other AGM make, to get the same capacity
Very true, it does have a purpose if starting applications are also needed
Thank you for making the video, definitely helpful
You telling people to load test a deep cycle battery which is Wrong, unless you doing a proper discharge test over a day or longer you are giving people wrong advice. Delete your video
Optima batteries are crap--According to Scotty Kilmer, they declined when the company changed owners. Interstate is still the best.-- Now there are cheaper lithium-iron batteries.
NOT HELPFUL AT ALL.
Biggest POS batteries made today. Bought a d34m marine battery. Lasted 3 years. Warranty ended at 2. $400 wasted. Charged as per instructions on Optima site. 10amps for about 6 hours (on an automatic agm charger). But wait…bought a red and yellow top for a different application. Yellow top(same as blue top with different terminals) died in under 2 years. Parts store did replace for free. So I did hear that Optima got bought out and cheapened up their product which is now made in Mexico and I now believe it. Will never buy one again.
I’m liking these with the smooth interface to victon components
Mine won’t start I get a code -04
-04 code this means the controller believe that the brake is on and has locked out the main relay. This occurs to prevent the GEM from being driven with the brake on. There is a small switch mounted to the park brake handle that reads whether or not the brake is on.
Link to the info on this Battery ?

Hi, I have a 2000 GEM car E 2 seater. Is the battery pack you purchased a 48 volt or 72 volt pack? Im changing batteries out now as the acid batteries are a pain & so heavy. Would it go on a 48 or does it need the 72 volt? Much appreciated.
The 2000 gem is 72v, gem in video is also 72v if that helps
@@DeepcyclebatterystoreSanDiego Thank you, Im trying to see if I can use one lithium battery pack or is it essential to use two batteries. I keep seeing everyone using 2 to 4 batteries in a 72 Volt golf cart. Thoughts & thank you so much
@@DeepcyclebatterystoreSanDiego Thank you 🙏
@@Surfgidgetthepug two of battery evo brand, four of Allied brand
My EZGO has these connections but when I do the override it doesnt release the brake? Any idea?
Not sure, are batteries removed?
Great information. Thanks! I've heard a lot about those quick chargers. But yeah, very pricey.
Can I buy six independent 12v 10am chargers and connect them. To each battery?
Yes np
That's a 12V load tester bud; and since golf cart batteries are not cold cranking AMPs like auto or marine batteries, the test is bogus. Look at needle in video, it is in the red zone (replace) to begin with. This test can actually damage deep cycle golf cart batteries
People are listening to this "expert" poor soles
New thing now is Sodium from Lithiummoto
What is the bottom of the "plate"? I see a cylinder going down, and what looks like fins strait down, which are submerged. What is the fill line? The bottom of the cylinder?
Great info. Can you share rebuilt info for larger capacity?
Finally, a video without all that stupid music, red and blue lights, don't forget to like/subscribe, 4 minute intro rambling what the vid's gonna be about, and all the other horsh*t these new youtuber attention wh*res do making video's unwatchable. Thanks to Jeff for this perfect 8 year old upload!!!
Thanks
Ya just want you to bring batteries in
Would be great if they had one for 6 x 8v ... searching everywhere
1/4 of charge after 4 miles? Your cart inly goes 16 miles? Wow
Any issues with lithium conversion? I’ve heard some icons had breaks locking up etc with lithium conversion
This is true for some lithium batteries because the icon has a very high amp speed control. We have tested the 105 model and it has performed well with the icon golf cart
Best battery EXIDE and optima
Did you ever try the larger 160 Ah pack in a Polaris cart?
where can i get a charger to get up to equalization voltage? I can't find a charger that has equalization voltages!
look at quickcharge.com
Don't do it, these guys are out of business. Abandoned all the customers once warranty started piling up.
Trent Clawson, and his buddy, Nick Bowers, are scam artists. This company went belly up in short order. Titan is still around. Uno popped up just to bilk customers out of thousands, then bail with no warning. Website gone, phone number disconnected, and they deleted all of their own videos. 3 of 3 have failed for me. No warranty support. 1 arrived DOA.
That battery is huge!
How would you hook them up if you had 6 batteries instead of 4?

Great video Jeff, and excellent recommendations. I just watched a Odyssey AGM battery video on properly charging their batteries and it stated then need to be charged at 14.0 - 14.7 volts to properly charge them. I am not sure if all AGM batteries have this requirement but they are 12.9 volt batteries, and regular lead acid batteries are 12.6 volts, and should be charged at least a 1 volt higher voltage.
Great video and information on Leoch batteries Jeff.
Thanks Jeff, great video and information, I never heard of that battery brand before, are they made in the USA? What is your opinion on Pulsetech battery chargers and PowerPulse passive desulfators? I have a PowerPulse on my 2001 BMW battery for the past three years. Pulsetech claims that their patented frequency they use can extend your battery life up to three times longer.
We have customers who cite good results using the pulse technology. The people I follow on batteryunitvery.com have a different opinion
