@@aridrosenthal lmao Ive seen gameplay with 4090s and they have framedrops down into the 20s. If I play this game, I want to experience it fully, in 4k and max settings and for that you obviously need a 5090, likely its not even enough to prevent you from getting framedrops below like 30 or 40 fps. so you wont even have a constant 60 fps with a 5090 but that card is maybe like 50% better than a 4090, and if the 4090 drops down to like 23 fps, the 5090 will drop to like 35 fps or so. the framedrop scene was in a big ship with like 2 or 3 other people and some vehicles in the ship. the game is very intensive and I think this guy ran it at 1440p and not even 4k iirc.

One of the recommendations I've seen from some SC players is that they play it at a resolution like 1080 then use some post-processing software like Radeon real-time upscaling to 4k to save processing power. Maybe that tip will help you. It usually results in massive FPS boosts. Also some people are just now using software that inserts frames into otherwise low-frame gameplay and it'll triple it like it was actually 120fps in the first place. It's really revolutionary stuff. Funny how SC has created a group of gamers that are on the cutting edge of finding new techniques to beef up their performance once they've already topped out their hardware

@@aridrosenthal yes I know those technologies lol you mean upscaling. Nvidia does have the lead there with DLSS 3 Upscaling. With the most recent RTX 40 series they introduced DLSS 3 Frame Generation as well, this is where a frame gets inserted/interpolated between two real frames. This does add latency tho, so not good in all games. AMD has also Upscaling but its not as good quality wise, its called FSR 3 Upscaling and now AMD also has their FSR 3 Frame Generation tech on top of that. DLSS only works on Nvidia GPUs bc Nvidia has literal hardware (tensor cores) built onto thier GPUs that are there for exactly this tech (beside other stuff). AMDs FSR works on all GPUs but its als less sophisticated and has more artefacts, shimmering, especially at lower resolutions. Those technolognies are heavily used in pretty much all new UE5 titles, especially when Lumen, Nanite, Path Tracing is used bc those graphic/rendering features are extremely intensive.

Often theres no difference to native rendering in visual quality with DLSS (in some games FSR looks just as good as well), its crazy. Its not usable but its obvious, we arent there yet, also this program isnt built into the game engine aka it doesnt have access to game data, motion vectors etc. Many ppl dont even like the Nvidia/AMD Frame Gen tech and they only interpolate 1 frame, and this already adds latency thats to much for many ppl, it also adds visual artefacts.
