It's alot less cool when you have to actually play through the insane amount of downtime and travel time they cut out with editing. That EVA trip to the Hammerhead alone woulda been something like 15+ minutes easy and then another 10 for the cutting. Not to mention all the station and train and hyperspace and etc travel cut out. Prolly cut out at least one 30k and a crash as well. And most people's systems don't make the game look anywhere near that AND deliver about half the FPS, even on a good PC.

Underrated bits: - refrigerator papa - thinly stealing copper wire - buck saying 'god dang'

I've been playing for a year and a half now and this game still amazes me. A couple of patches ago, there was a bug where anyone outside your ship EVA couldn't see your ship. I went to pick someone up who had ejected, but he couldn't board due to the bug. I decided to try to put him in the ship by maneuvering the ship and sliding him into the cargo bay, not really believing it would work. I was floored when he started yelling into the mic, "I'm in! I can see the ship and I'm in!" With recent patches and improvements, it's even more amazing. The graphics are even better and new gameplay mechanics have been added.

Yeah, it's the sort of thing a main character tosses out in the movie, and all his sidekicks shoot down the idea because they think it's dumb and will get them all killed, but then they get in a bind, and at the very end the main character follows through with the ridiculous plan and it actually works. Except, in this case, the events that unfold in this video were WAAAAY crazier than most other sci-fi finales.

Funny glitches and moments aside, the two Star Citizen videos Bed has made so far are quite solid Sci-Fi films. Amazing how this guy can make compelling stories at the same time of doing things that makes us laugh.

This game is beautiful and has hundreds of amazing mechanics the bugs aren't even that big considering the scale of this game, which sucks that you need a super computer and even if you do get it it's so dead you cant have that much fun

This is more effective advertising than the actual commercials, just people messing around and having fun

Lemme put it this way, Star Citizen has ruined nearly every other game for me with its depth. If you are fairly patient, are willing to accept TONS of bugs, have an SSD and an updated rig, I can recommend. Your honeymoon period will be like no other game you've expirienced.

@@hejdu4480 It's been steadily improving over the years, I've played around 100 hours and it's still definitely a playable game with things to do if you've got a good system and some friends willing to consistently play. It also happens to be the single most immersive experience I've ever had in a video game, VR included, this game is really still the top of it's class when it comes to that stuff.

THIS is the type of Gameplay and Teamchat that companies try to fake with "Real Gamers" playing whatever like Ghost Recon or Anthem. The video was great and mad entertaining!

The heist at the end was unexpected and amazing. That was literally something out of a movie. It FELT like a movie watching it. It was so cool

As I don't play this game, I am confused why they didn't just keep the ship after killing the pilot and completing the quest.

The last 3 segments makes this feel more like a Sifi episode of experienced and young space crew. AND I LOVE IT

I hope you guys understand how EPIC that last part was with the hammerhead!! Amazing video!!

*That final sequence was just straight f*cking cool.* *You never cease to impress me with the narrative on some parts- especially the endings -of these videos.*

You, your friends and all that this video is: It is the greatest thing gaming can lead to. Friends that are just having a blast together in any kind of phantastical world. Writing their own, real, stories. Love the video. Definite sub. Keep it up! Can't wait for more :)

Man this is the kinda cinematic space adventures I long for in games like this. I mean, imagine getting a bounty, infiltrating a space pirate's ship, and then blowing it up. Thats cool as hell.

This is the space game I've always wanted. The game that will allow me to have my own ship, bond with her, take care of her, and name her Serenity. I hope that this game will one day be finished and officially released.

@@canisarcani What ship do you want? If you mean the carrack, you can buy it ingame, or it goes on sale in october for about 600 USD. But still like I said, you can buy it ingame.

I like the concept of a bunch of space pirates escaping from prison then attending a space convention and renting military grade equipment while disguised in fashionable new clothes.

18:36 THE A TEAM This is basically a goddamn film, a group of friends seeking nothing more than fun, a very personal short film in which every action is awe inspiring. from boxing while flying faster than the speed of sound on a desert planet, to sitting and watching the fireworks with friends, all the way to the most ambitious heist in a David-and-Goliath like battle, all based on luck and hope, but all is reliant on the friendships faith in one another. 10/10 -someone that really wants to play star citizen now.

@@belg4r489 Just make sure your hardware can keep up. I gotta pretty good card and it runs choppy at particularly demanding hubs, otherwise stellar 70+ fps on medium. Don't forget to join Discord's and subreddits relating to the game, 'cause that's always where you'll come across other new players and also the whale-owners that have the greatest in-game ships. What I'm trying to say is, just be cool and people will always hook you up with fun stuff to do like these guys. P.S Flying Caterpillar's (the hauling ships) to move peoples investments is what I used to do. Those ships cost about $225 USD, so it was a really sweet way to fly around in a pretty cool ship and also make a ship load of uEC to spend around on whatever I wanted in the game.

The physics grid is honestly the coolest detail of this game. Being able to just walk around while your buddy flies, (and NOT risk randomly popping through the back like in Space Engineers and GTAV) that's neat.

That's what impresses me the most about this video and this game - where other engines like the Gambryo are built with duct tape, this engine must be built with rivets and titanium alloy

@@liambrown500 There's a reason they've been quietly working on it for 8 years. I paid my $35 in 2013, and I've been patiently waiting for full release. No early access, no drama, no teasers. I have very limited capacity for hype.

This game inspires feelings of wonder you only get by imagining life where interplanetary travel is just kinda the norm. You can genuinely feel like these utter dorks just live in this world like it's a day-to-day thing.

Relatable

I've just been thinking after watching Star Citizen gameplays, this game has endless possibilities, imagine technologies that could allow ourselves to immerse our whole body into the game, that would be extraordinary, and especially in games like Star Citizen, we would truly be able to live a second life. I am still very young not even in University yet but I really hope in the years that come, before I perish, I would be able to experience such experiences and live as I have never lived before.

watching these videos make me want to play this game more (edit)at 26:18 that look like something out of a movie

I absolutely love the star citizen videos. Literally puts a smile on my face how you roleplay like it’s a tv show or something very nice can’t wait to see more.

It might be a bit strange but whenever I find myself feeling the redundancy of day to day life dragging me down and anxiety taking over I always come back to watch this video and Bed's Rust series, just something about the strange humor mixed with dark undertones and genuine wholesome moments of friendship all weaved together to make an engaging story always give me this strange sense of hope? Idk I might be reading too much into these silly little videos but they just do something for me that brings a sense of warmth and comfort :)

I swear each video you upload is like a triple A movie, this belongs in the cinema. Great content

I rewatched Prison Escape like 2 weeks ago! Nice timing! Bed's mix of soft-RP with big setpieces all within the normal framework of the game packaged into almost a semi-cinematic package is just fantastic.

This is by far the best content I have seen so far! You guys are nuts and the plan to take-ou the hammerhead was so thrilling!

this almost... gives me hope I first got Star Citizen when my parents bought me a pledge package for my 15th birthday.. back in 2014 Now I finally have a PC that can run it, and seeing that it looks like there is finally a real game to play is encouraging

@@RDR911 "pumping out ads" the dude is, quite literally, just playing a game he likes and making videos on it. No one is forcing you to watch it and he isn't telling anyone buy it. Such a stupid mindset to have. I don't even care about Star Citizen nor do i plan on buying it, but these videos are cool and i seem to speak for lots of people in the comment section when i say that i wouldn't mind him making more. Edit: he removed the reply, because of course he did, but basically he was saying that he wouldn't like it if BedBananas channel turned into a channel that only pumps out ads for an unfinished game.
