    What are the impacts of CBR testing on the environment

  • @kevcat8655
    @kevcat86552 жыл бұрын

    There are no direct impacts at all. It's non-invasive testing as the video quite clearly shows. However, indirectly, the use of a vehicle to get to the site will of course emit emissions, similar to all other site activities. But this is 'scraping the barrel' to appease your question.

    Hello. Do you compare your results with some lab CBR with the same soil?

  • @Hixtra
    @Hixtra6 жыл бұрын

    Insitu and Lab CBRs will likely be quite different because of the constraining effect of the lab CBR mould, compactive effort and such like for coarser grained materials. Undisturbed fine grained samples for Lab CBR should yield similar results to Insitu CBR tests.

    hi, nice video. I want to ask, how you convert (k) from PLT ro CBR Value?

  • @Hixtra
    @Hixtra6 жыл бұрын

    CBR (%)= 6.1 × 10^-8 × (k762)^1.733 where k762 is the Modulus of Subgrade Reaction, defined as the applied pressure under the loading platen divided by the displacement (normally 1.25mm) with a plate of 762mm (30 inch) diameter. The Modulus of Subgrade Reaction for other plate sizes can be determined using an appropriate conversion factor

  • @herogalaxyhuang8939
    @herogalaxyhuang89394 жыл бұрын

    Suppose you use a 400mm plate, the measured k is 40, the conversion factor is about 0.6. Does that mean the K762 is 40*0.6=24.

    Hi, interesting video. The vehicle you use is sprung. So how can you be sure what the load is?

  • @engr.rashidiqbal237
    @engr.rashidiqbal2375 жыл бұрын

    there are many-weighing balance to measure the weight of the vehicle and its material together....but out point it to check the load from the loading gauge which is shown in the video and monitor at 5, 10,15, so on up to 100kN.
