How did you tap into the wires on the neutral safety switch? Range signals from the 98 come from the firewall have to get mated with the range signals from the Ls computer?

I made it. Schedule 40 PVC transparent pipe with end caps, pressure gauge and a wheel schrader valve.

I’m having the same problem on hot start up losing one or more injector ground. The only way to clear it is to turn of and restart till it comes back. Its embarrassing to sit for two minutes restarting it because the car sounds like a pos running on 6/7 cylinders

never resolved, i yanked the $3000 holley system off my car and now run the stock GM ECM spent a little more time tuning for the turbo making it safe.

Damn, that sucks. I invested 5k in all the Holley stuff and I only have 2k miles on it. The Techs at Holley are no help and swear it’s something with my car that must be causing it. I probably sell all of it and go with Fuel tec.

I’m having the exact same problem, It will drop ground to one injector every so often while cold only on startup but it will do it all the time on start up while hot. I must turn off and restart till it comes back. Holley techs are no help at all. Sucks because it only has 2k miles and I spent 5 thousand dollars on just the efi for it to sound like a pos. Now I know why everyone is switching to fuel tech.

I know this is an old video but everything I find says 30 leg is battery input and 87 is output( opposite of what was shown in video) . The other two are signal and ground. Can someone advise. I’m using a jd1912 40amp 12v relay.

Question the pin. 33 the ppl wire that runs the tcc lock up. It's still in my black c2 connector on the factory fuse box that I'm using. When I wire up the brake switch the ppl wire to tap into that wire? Or do I take it out of the black connector?

no, gen4 ecm will require gen4 throttle body. dbw only.

I know its been years since this was posted. I came across this video when trying to figure out something on my 1998 silverado. I dont know if you will remember at this point. I am hoping you might. At 24 seconds, you can see a brown wire with the white connector on the end of it. I have this on my truck and it is not connected to anything. This is the first time I have ever noticed it. I am wondering where it came disconnected from. I have searched and cannot find a spot for it to plug in. I have tested it and its live wire. I know it comes out of the bulkhead but I cannot find any info as to where it plugs in.

Great work!! I wired my fuse block exactly the same and now my ignition hots are staying hot all the time . If I unplug the pcm everything functions normally on the fuse block any clue what I’m missing I also traced my orange and pink wires back to the pcm to make sure they were in the right spot and they were . Any help would be appreciated

I might be late to this but what did you use for the harness on the 6l80 to 5.3? I have a 77 c10 with a 5.3 and i want to do a 6l80 but i can find a video explaining it better with a parts list.

Sounds like it’s shifting a little hard. Maybe it’s supposed to sound like that?? I don’t know. Having 6-speeds instead of 4-speeds like in a 4L80E must be a night and day difference

Couple questions for you, 1) do I need to run the front o2 sensors my harness had them cut off and my 95 tahoe is emissions exempt 2) what do you do with the blue label wires you keep on the pin out chart ?

at this time was likely all stock, just a camshaft. (8 years ago??) now its forged pistons, eagle rods.

I'm doing a swap on a 96 OBS chevy, can you use the original fuse block instead of adding one. The 96 has ENG and ECM 20A fuses for key hot. I was thinking of doing this: 20A ECM I : Injectors , PCM (original 96 setup) 20A ENG I : Coils, O2 sensors, MAF, TAC and I believe it has a dedicated Trans fuse coming from the under-dash fuse block. Fuel pump already has dedicated fuse and relay. Any input?
