How fast have you got it up too with different gearing? I ordered a 8080 motor but I wonder if a 80100 motor would be better. For the price the 8080 motor seemed worth it and I assume that it shouldn’t be too much weaker

Does the 75100 support a sensorless motor? I want to use a mini-moto one I’ve been holding onto for a couple of years.

i recommend a FSESC or MKSESC 75100 Alu PCB version, they can do 100 phase amps and take 100V max, which means you shouldn't go higher than 84V (72V battery full charge) if using regen can also buy the MKSESC 75200 which can do 200 max phase amps you NEED to use antispark connectors tho (XT90-S or similar, as long as one side has the precharge resistor and the connector can fit the wire, so the 200A one needs a larger connector as the XT90-S is good up to about 12AWG, the 200A has 8 AWG) VESC's can break and burn without an antispark connector been peaking the FSESC 75100 ALU PCB's at 120A each pretty much daily since december or something, so far no issue

I’ve heard good things about the Alu pcb version. I’m running the 75/100 vesc now with and. Xt90 anti spark 10awg fits perfect and. You could use. 8awg. Do you have a scooter?

@@dickiewithers9564 yeah i'm running 2 Flipsky 75100 Alu PCB's in an Obarter X3, max motor current 120A each never had overheating issues even tho i have commutes of over a hour one way the most i've seen is 50°C, which is quite warm but OK if you consider the steel battery box/deck/base of my scooter doesnt conduct heat or cool down particularly easily, plus that was after it was in 20°C i bet it would be much cooler if i had it on a decent heatsink or even an aluminium scooter, however i still can't complain, that was after a 1h ride and the normal/old 75100s would shoot up to 80 degree in a minimal amount of time infact someone (cant remember) benchmarked it at 80A without a heatsink or heat conducting surface and the old 75100 shot up to 80°C in 30s, vesc 6? 6 or 8 minutes cant really remember but i know the Alu PCB's outlasted both at 10 minutes, that is without any form of cooling

Searching vids for Lithium Battery fires as a mates shed went up in flames last night. This same thing happened to his e bike. Sheds gone plus roof of house damaged and ground floor doors. All from a battery. Jeez. Theres gonna be millions and millions of these things in every car one day. Scarey. Also.... note... all those different colour smokes are highly toxic and acidic.
