Both my parents were born in England and so was I. My maternal grandma is a born and bred Jamaican. Am I still able to apply? Do I have to wait for my mother to receive citizenship first before I can? My mother's maiden name is that of her father, who is not Jamaican. How do I go about creating a link between my mother and her mother?

Yes you are! No you don’t have to wait for your mom. I would suggest to have both certificates just in case there’s a problem

I know it shouldn't matter, but it honestly feels so gratifying to know that I can receive citizenship since I've always been told when visiting my Jamaican family that I'm not a "real Jamaican". Even though I've literally been raised in a Jamaican household with Jamaican customs my entire life.
