I ran this race - my first ever in-person race (so first RunDisney experience too). It’s kind of amusing to see that you finished before I think my wave left the starting gate! Thanks for helping me relive the memories!
Your costumes looked great!! Glad you guys had a fun time.
That was a great game…
That was a cute finish line photo!
He can crow!
Bangarang!!!
A fun ending to a great race season. On to the next adventure!
Newbie here for run Disney, is the race shirt you pick up the same shirt they are selling in the first merch area?
Hi there and welcome! The shirts in the merchandise area are all different from the included shirt.
Thank you for sharing! ❤
Thanks for watching!
I’m registered for Dopey next year, I am over 40 and would like to do one marathon before my knees completely eliminate that choice. I hope to follow the Jeff Galloway plan but I think I will probably reduce the longest runs a little as I go to a maximum of 20-22 miles. I’m sure that if I can follow the plan to even 70% I’ll have done enough for my body to complete Dopey comfortably.
Good luck and thanks for watching! Following the best we can is the best we can do! Hitting the important runs and staying consistent is what matters. Missing some here and there is just life! Happy training!
Thank you
We have our first cruise planned to Alaska this summer. Leery about planning any excursions due to cost, and being rushed. Did y'all do any NCL excursions? I checked on going on our own and everything is so much cheaper but you have to worry about timing. 🤦🏼♀️ Just don't know what to do!
We did ncl excursions in Juneau, Stika. Ketchikan and icy we just walked around the towns/areas. My sister did a float plane tour in Ketchikan that she booked on the spot. Most of those 3rd party tour companies are catering to the cruise industry and know they need to have you back though. Having a review saying you missed the ship would not look good on them.
I think Norwegian just funded some of the building of the dock for this port. I don’t think they own any part of Icy Straight Point.
My wife and I are going on the same itinerary on the Bliss. Could you post a link or tell me how to book the excursion to the glaciers and drop off directly to the ship?
www.ncl.com/shore-excursions/JNU_15/Endicott-Arm-Glacier-Explorer Here is the excursion. You may need to log into your cruise and go to itinerary, book excursion(or something close), and it is the Endicott arm glacier Explorer excursion
@@MouseGen thank you so much!!
Hi!! Love your videos . What category is your room? I like the extended balcony!!! I'm considering bidding for an upgrade.
Hi there, thanks so much for watching! These are located on deck 8. However I honestly wouldn't recommend them for an Alaskan cruise. The wind was often very heavy and knocked the furniture around.
Thank you. I have a regular balcony room, but was considering the upgrade to the Club Suite. Is that the category? I really want Haven🤑
@nicolecato3378 the extended balconies are offered in regular and club suite. The major difference is the bathroom is bigger in the club suite.
@@MouseGen Thanks so much!
Thanks for the video see ya next week
Thanks for watching! We'll see you soon!
Hi!! I'm scheduled for Bliss in June , what's the name of this excursion?
'Otters raptors bears oh my!' ONE of our favorite we did on this sailing!
I am in for my first Dopey!! 🎉😅
🎉 thats awesome!!!! Good luck with training!!
Let's go!!!!
Really enjoyed this and was looking forward to it. I appreciate all the sincere tips and considerations you offered.
Thanks so much for watching!
What hat are you wearing?
The hat is made by headsweats. I believe it is the reflective running hat. This one in particular I got at Luisiana Running & Walking Store lol
@@MouseGen Thanks man! Awesome videos, watch your videos every time I'm on the Treadmill.
@darenjenkins1228 thanks so much for watching! Appreciate it!
Love the rundisney videos! I’m running my first rundisney event in April at the 10 mile springtime surprise! I’m a faster runner like yourself and it’s neat seeing how the front of the pack looks. Have you ever had to pick up your bib the morning of?
We have not. I would say they highly discourage it and don't put it out there that it is an option. But I've never seen someone not able to get their bib day of. However you will not have a way to get your shirt if it's for the 10 miler because the expo ends Saturday. Good luck and have fun!
Ship actually first sailed 2018. I was on the ship May 2018
Oops thank you!!!
Last year was first Dopey (to Dumbo!), but 2025 is a Goofy year for me! Just couldn't take that much time off work. Arriving on Thursday from the west coast.
That can be a huge factor for sure! You almost need a whole week if you are traveling for Dopey! Thanks for watching amd good luck at Goofy!
Great video. I did my first marathon at WDW 2023. I plannjng on doing my first Dopey 2025. Soo excited. I do agree... much better to do your first marathon as a stand alone. I did not feel fomo... your first marathon is soo special.
And it's such a learning experience! Thanks for watching!!! Good luck at Dopey!
Great video - excited to subscribe. I did my first RD with last year's W&D challenge. I am trying a marathon this fall and considering Dopey 2026!
Thanks for subscribing! What Marathon are you running?
Milwaukee Lakeshore
Thank you for answering my question! I love Kaitie’s advice-- are you looking for a Disney vacation or a run vacation… that’s a great way to look at it! I also appreciate all the training plan talk - it helped so much! Thanks for all you do! I have learned so much from you - and you def talked me into Dopey 2026! 🤪🤪💚💜
Good Luck! Thanks for watching!
Me? Oh, def not. I am not one who can spend a lot of time training, and it is so important to do so. I can pull out a half, though my times stay about 13 when i do intervals the entire way. I don't think I will ever run the entire thing for any of the runs. I don't like running! haha. But here I am doing these runDisney events over and over... crazy!
It pulls you back every time! haha
Hey Lake I agree with you I like the hwy start as well. Been running Disney for 5 years and hope to be running my 4th Disney marathon. Getting little faster with each one so probably not a good idea to try to pr doing dopey so maybe try dopey in couple years. Great video thanks
Thanks for watching!
Lake, what is your current shoe rotation? I too highly recommend anything over a 10k to have 2+ shoes to alternate between for training. And a question for you both - I cannot get to Disney for a race weekend until marathon weekend, do you think a local city race weekend challenge (10k & half marathon) is a good enough simulation before Dopey? I also plan on doing a marathon 3 months prior. Thanks for all your advice!
oh man, let me see. Hoka Mach 6, mach x, rocket x2. Saucony Speed 2, Adidas Adios & Boston 12. I've got a few others and some more super shoes as well. I (Lake) don't usually do simulations for Dopey but Kaitie does, Even if it's shorter distances. But a local option is great for a simulation opportunity!
Great viceo 2x dopey here love the races. This is a great place for a first time marathon. Also one point for dopey not a normal race being that you are not racing these races.
Thanks for watching!!!
Fantastic video - thank you…wish I had seen it live but I just found your channel. I have already signed up for Dopey 2025 (Charity Runner). It will be my first Dopey, but I have run one full Disney Marathon before (and run several halves)…I will definitely check out the rest of your videos, and thanks again! See you on the course!
Thanks so much for watching! We'll see ya out there!
Great video and advice!
Thank you!
Which Group were you in? I started in D. My split is 1:00/1:00 until my back starts to ache from the ramps! (the one after mile 9 was the killer one for me) Trying something new for SS. I usually run up and walk down, but I think I will walk up to see if I put less pressure on the right side.
got my answer at the character stop ;)
Bejeazus, fast pace!
Great video. I hope Tyler’s knee is doing okay.
Thanks for watching! He's getting there! Just needs to actually rest 😅
Looks like y’all had fun thanks for the video
We had a blast! Thanks for watching!
I don’t know-does Kermit make my butt look big?! 😊
Only in the good kind of way 😆
I love how Pocahontas called you chief : > such a fun race! I did this one virtually because of Tangled - the medal was so cute. lol loved the comment for Cinderellas step sisters nice touch. thanks for recording these races
Thanks so much for watching! Hope you had a great 10k!
I did the half, and got there Saturday. No M jackets (but I knew already M was done wed morning). So I did buy a Pandora charm! Never got one of those before. I do see them selling the jackets on ebay for more than double... I got the 23 half marathon weekend jacket on ebay for $65 this year, so there is always the hope to wait it out! (Cuz I WANT that one!) The weather was fantastic Sunday. Glad for everyone that posts these YT videos and podcasts etc, it is keeping the vibe alive. I miss it already. Here's to Ohana Challenge and SS!
I did see some split challenge bibs during princess.
OMG Christy, YESSS! the entire first half of the run, until i was at the castle.. every single photo op, which I already saw far ahead cuz I look for the tents so I don't have to jump in front of anyone ... I either go to the left if I am running already, or to the right if I am in my walking phase, and I wait til after the photographer to change up so I am not zig zagging there. I almost tripped, or someone made me stop abruptly b/c they did that. RUDE! They say that princess is the worst b/c people just want to make it to MK and dress up for photos, and they don't care if they get swept after. Here I am just wanting to do my best... :(
they could have put Angel in Tomorrowland. I didn't see any rides running
Thank so much for watching! See you at Springtime!
Thanks!
Appreciate all the hard work you guys do to keep us entertained and informed. It was great to see you at Princess and we look forward to seeing you at Springtime Surprise.
Thank you so much! Always great to see you!
Saratoga is walking distance? would love more info on that - thought you couldn't walk to the start
Walking distance to disney springs is what we meant! Sorry for the confusion
I noticed a charity site that has Halloween at disneyland bibs - do you know what that is like beyond just raising the money?
Raising money is the bulk of it. You are responsible for an amount that includes your bib. Beyond that though there is usually a great community for each charity. I know Kelsie's Hope does a team dinner each weekend. Many will also give you some swag, shirts, and such as well.
Thanks for slowing down enough for me to get to run with y’all little bit 😂 see ya in the spring
Thanks for saying hi! Always good to see you!
Congrats on a new PR Kaitie! It was so fun to see you there! Look forward to the next weekend! Arrrgh, me hearties!
While slogging through a treadmill easy run this morning I thought "wait... I should run with MouseGen", popped this up, and had a blast reliving the run (I felt the need to bump it to 7:24/mi at the end to keep up with y'all). Thank you for both the videos and being energetic, welcoming, and fun runners in person! -Butch
I hope your own puns made you laugh!!! Thanks for watching!
Love this, Thanks and congrats!

The one trail that you were walking on, isn't that under the path of the Green Transporter? I read that they are building trails on top of the hill that you use the Red Transporter to get up.
Yes, that was the one by the transporter that connects the 2 main areas of ISP. There are trails up top and there is actually some others around bottom of the mountain but when we went, they were closed due to bear activity.
I'll be on the Bliss, mid June, 2024, for the same short 7 day that you had. Was your cruise also in June? First time on NCL. I'm also booked on a long cruise on the NCL Encore, Mid October. I wanted to fly in a day before the cruise and wanted to book the Hotel with NCL, but they would only book the Westin at $465, for one night. I thought that was insane, so I booked a much cheaper hotel that had its own shuttle that would pick me up at the airport. I'll just take an Uber to Pier 66, in the morning.
Our cruise was the first week of June!
@@MouseGen I read that May and June are the months with the least rain.
i will be on the bliss idec 2025 how far was your hotel from the port and would you remmonend it??
We flew into and flew out the same day as embarkation/disembarkation, unfortunately.

@billkallas1762 im so sorry! I actually misspoke. We did in fact stay at a Hilton gardens right across from the airport the night before the cruise and did the same thing. Ubering from the hotel to the port the morning of was pretty easy.
@@MouseGen This year, they only offered the one Hotel I mentioned.
@@billkallas1762 we booked it ourselves as well!
Great video as usual bro 😎
