I just completed this mod yesterday, and it was my first-ever attempt in this realm. I have built and modified my PC on occasion, so I'm not entirely inexperienced. However, I must caution you: it is more difficult than it appears, especially for a beginner. I encountered several challenges; for instance, some connectors were lodged in my case, such as the top mouse cover and the battery plug, which was the first significant hurdle. The next, and probably the most daunting issue, was the removal of the OEM Omron switches, specifically the desoldering process. I couldn't properly remove the switches because I wasn't able to heat all three pins at the same time. I ended up damaging both switches before I was finally able to extract them. Soldering the new switches was much simpler. I used the Panasonic EVQP0E07K, which seems to be installed in the MX 3s. Unfortunately, the result wasn't up to my expectations, as it was still too clicky. This led me to desolder them and replace them with Kailh silent switches. Let me tell you, these nailed it, giving me a feeling nearly identical to the MX 3s that I own. After reassembling everything, I encountered a major surprise: my primary click wasn't working at all. Upon inspection, I discovered that I had damaged one of the conductive traces on the left-click PCB, likely while removing the OEM switches. I was able to bridge it with a spare wire I had lying around, and now it works perfectly again. The outcome is astonishing, but I must admit, it was quite a rollercoaster with moments when I feared I had irreparably damaged my MX 3 multiple times.

Hi I just did the upgrade by adding a second 8 gb RAM (it wasn’t the exact same one as the original but it is a Samsung with the same specs), did it just like you showed on the video, turn it on and nothing happens. the power button lights up, I can hear the fans going but the screen stays black. Any idea what it may be??

I took mine apart last night and messed something up, I think something fell out. The right click button works fine but the left click button now bottoms out and doesn't spring back up. It feels like it isn't making contact with anything. From visual inspection it doesn't appear to be damaged though. So I have no idea what is going on.

I just bought Minor II and could not turne them on. I've found out that they are fully discharged so I've charged them and used ok. On another they I can't turn them on again. Yes. I would return it to the store. I guess it's an old model and battery can die quickly when it discharged and waiting for you in the store. Try to get a new one and check battery. Or buy newer model.

Can confirm, this works. The clicks are not completely silent but its a lot better right now. But be warned. Without this equipment you will fail.

450°c? Are you serious? These are mouse switches not PS4 HDMI connectors on a giant ground plane… Get a better iron, an electric desoldering iron, or learn to desolder properly before you destroy the solder pad the next time around.
