    Why do you start bubbling only when you touch your lips with your finger? 🤔

    Quick Tipp for the first Skill: Its better to hold your buddies BCD shoulder strap as it is closer and easier to hold on to. If you hold hands the tube might be to short to properly reach your mouth.

    on the oral inflation why do u never hold your breath what should u be doing?

    You need to always be blowing out if you don't have the reg in your mouth. So remove reg, slow stream of bubbles, blow into BCD, and then either slow stream of bubbles again or directly back to the regulator.

    As an instructor love the demo , new divers should continue to learn these skills. Being confident well after your instructor has taught you. Even if you have your open water cert. Been diving since late 70's, Love teaching new students and teaching about ocean environment.

    I'm appalled. Not only shouldn't you be teaching skills with students on their knees. Your dive agency, PADI, was one of the leaders in neutral bouyancy OW skills training. PADI policies tell instructiors to teach skills with students in neutral bouyancy. Any shop that teaches skills to students on their knees is lazy and should be bypassed when you are looking for training.

    Pretty good, but I saw 2 mistakes here. When you replaced the BCD your main regulator was under your arm instead of over your arm. But good edit saved it 😁 And in my opinion for the Free Flowing Regulator mouthpiece too far from mouth or lips. Sorry had to comment on that 😁 I have been an instructor for 25 years so I see everything 😊 But the mask pinch was new to me. Gotta try that one. Normally I teach breaking the seal on top with 2 fingers 🤿 But the rest very good 👏👏🤙👌

    Excellent video. I was learning to dive (open water diver) and the most traumatic part of the course was taking off the mask and putting it back on underwater and extracting the water from it. I almost drowned 😫

    I am curious about how a globally recognized agency can openly endorse and defend its purported expertise by advocating a practice of kneeling at the bottom, all while justifying it as a simplified learning approach for students. There appears to be no legitimate rationale for instructing individuals in this manner or promoting such a practice. Furthermore, we are confronted with the harsh reality that a significant 90% of newly certified divers struggle to maintain their buoyancy when stopping their swim and resort to kneeling underwater. This issue cannot be attributed to the students themselves but rather points to the instructors and, ultimately, the subpar standards within commercial scuba agencies. It is truly astonishing. Stop the madness! One of the driving force we want our materials to be a bit more widespread so it will provide a perspective for those divers who come from the commercial meatgrinder of scuba diving.

    Please please - make demonstrations in neutral bouancy 🙏 And to use the 'no no' sign, that is wagging your finger from side to side. I stopped using that many years ago as I find it very rude. Don't tell students what not to do, but emphasis what to do. Hope it can help you to improve your demonstrations.

    It’s better to take a diving course instead of relying on KZread videos i think. Watching videos is a good start of course (given the methods are not outdated or conform different protocols), but gaining skills = practice.

    i dont know anything about diving and i am curious about the part don't hold our breath, is there a reason we need to exhale slowly instead of holding our breath?

  • @ZeuSVI
    @ZeuSVIАй бұрын

    In theory you don't need to exhale unless you are ascending because gases expand when pressure is reduced, which is what is happening when you are going up. And if you are holding your breath your lungs could literaly explode from the inside. Now the reason why they teach you to never hold your breath is because it should be trained into muscle memory. Cause if you panic under water you do a lot of things by muscle memory. And if you loose your air source it's easy to panic and swim towards the surface, and then exhaling is extremely important.
