Bell for trails, bike horn for crosswalks and crowds, and LoudBicycle Horn (simulated dissonant two-tone car horn--midsize sedan) for riding in or with traffic. All three have their pros and cons. The bell receives almost full compliance from pedestrians, but not motorists. The bike horn can get some compliance from pedestrians and motorists, but usually not loud enough. The LoudBicycle car horn is loud enough to grab motorist attention, but oftentimes causes confusion amongst other roadway users (ppl think I'm a midsize sedan as they're looking around for such a vehicle). In most cases, though, people will ignore all three horns as if I don't exist. This is usually the result of today's self-entitlement among people and the hatred/bias towards cyclists in general.

I ride trails on my human powered trike. I only have a bell. I usually do a short ding to warn pedestrians but I can also do a longer and louder ring if I am approaching a blind turn. I never have to worry about passing any bikes with my three gears and old legs. :)

It’s good to find a shop with mechanics that do good work and are trustworthy. It can be a rare thing today. I had to smile because most bike shops in the US are small with limited selection. In Nagoya, Japan, for example, they have bike shops small and personal like the one you visited , but they also have stores that are the size of a Walmart. One that comes to mind is Y’s. Mind you they sell regular road and mountain bikes. Almost every brand under the sun with dedicated areas for each. Prepare to spend a good part of your day there. There are some others that are even larger, but I don’t recall the names. Ride safe as our roads are too populated by lunatic drivers. Part of our pre-ride check list here in AZ is to make sure our insurance is paid up to date. It’s still the Wild West out here. Gone from horses to automobiles.

My gosh, I feel so homesick now. I used to bike the towpath when it was only 50 miles long. I left in 2004 and currently live east of Portland OR. There is a path here, but it's nothing compared to the towpath. I miss the people, too, that used the path where courtesy and greetings were the norm. No one seems to know the passing rules-of-the-road here.

I really enjoyed watching this video. I’ve been going back and forth on what e-trike to purchase; RAD trike, Lectric XP trike and this Mooncool model. The Lectric Trike is reported by many owners to have bearing issues. The RAD trike is way overpriced for what you get. This one is perfectly priced and equipped. So far I haven’t heard of any owner complaints. So I’ll bit the bullet and order two for my wife and I. I’ll admit, you have some great areas to ride. Thanks for the video.

The bell is a much nicer to here or the horn. I have several bikes with the horn and it just reminds me of a motorcycle cop coming up behind you and honking at you to pull over. If I have to use the horn I do it from a farther distance out to not startle anyone.

I've owned 2 E-bikes in the past and 1 currently BUT its because of lowlife the ride motorized vehicles (E-bikes) on bicycle/pedestrian paths and sidewalks that will be the reason for numerous laws that will be coming because of those as*holes. Be like me and only ride in the streets not sidewalks! If you're too frightened to do that take a bus so people aren't taking a risking getting hit by a speeding E-biker on the sidewalk.

😊 I always just worry about my audio and post production I run two mics choose from the best audio then I adjust the audio to it just under clipping the red and then sometimes if the bikes to loud I will throw 45 to 50% isolation of Voice on it.
