I do the same thing bike path and sidewalk when it becomes too dangerous. That is a cool bike shop you have there.

Some of our sidewalks are in poor shape and can make you crash too. They have huge holes and unlevel sections.

Here is Wyoming I can ride on the sidewalks everywhere but downtown. If I'm using one of my faster bikes or scooters I don't mind being on the road. It's kinda scary on slower ebikes and etrikes. I don't trust drivers.

It’s good to find a shop with mechanics that do good work and are trustworthy. It can be a rare thing today. I had to smile because most bike shops in the US are small with limited selection. In Nagoya, Japan, for example, they have bike shops small and personal like the one you visited , but they also have stores that are the size of a Walmart. One that comes to mind is Y’s. Mind you they sell regular road and mountain bikes. Almost every brand under the sun with dedicated areas for each. Prepare to spend a good part of your day there. There are some others that are even larger, but I don’t recall the names. Ride safe as our roads are too populated by lunatic drivers. Part of our pre-ride check list here in AZ is to make sure our insurance is paid up to date. It’s still the Wild West out here. Gone from horses to automobiles.

Another option is make it legal to PUSH the bike down the sidewalks.

Another option is to take the "Ramp" onto the sidewalk from the streets out. They were made for? You'd think bikes? But no. Second time caught riding the sidewalk your bike is taken and you have to pay to get it back....

There’s very seldom any pedestrians on the sidewalks anyhow. Just kids when school lets out.

Never catch me riding on the road any more, not after being hit. Luckily I live in a place where a bike is no different than a wheelchair for a disabled person like me so its allowed to be on the sidewalk if its a mobile aid, youre under 16 or accompanying that under 16 year old. Plus cops dont care, Ive asked too and they dont care so long as youre not running over people. Their words. Until drivers smarten up its safer out of traffic, I seen several in this video alone. Cars in bike likes, blocking crossings and paths, think 1 guy even blew a red light. Bet there’d be more if you had a radar gun on that thing, some of those cars were cruising. As far as Im concerned on a bike youre a pedestrian and should be off the road if it has no seperated bike lane, getting hit by a car hurts I dont recommend it, avoid it if you can.

Probably more break fade to air in your system happens when your breaks heat up they start to get spongy! What kind system is on the bike, single or quad piston calipers? I'm in the UK lucky to see a bike lane here in Scotland! They are planting them here and there but nothing near what's needed you need to travel 5 miles to reach a bike lane!

Those "Group rides" racing down the streets going thru stop signs and lights, speeding and just ignoring common sense... These people will hurry the govt. to outlaw ebikes. Any questions?

Yikes......I ride on sidewalks when necessary, but at slow speeds, and I always stop, pull over, and give the pedestrians the right of way. Watching you scares the hell out of me. No wonder so many communities are beginning to limit E-Bike usage.

We can not ride on sidewalks with e bikes. NYS Law is no ebike on sidewalks for pedestrian safety. Helmets required for all bike riders on any bike. I hate riding on sidewalks. Will do it if absolutely have to but other than that never ride on sidewalks. Afraid I will hit some pedestrian and hurt them or myself. But interesting it is ok in your state. Guess it depends on state and personal preference. My city and subs. have a lot of bike lanes but some streets are crazy. Too narrow and lots of traffic and shared street in some places. Lots of parks but getting to them requires you ride there or bus there but my bike too heavy for the bike racks on buses and big size. I think the same as you cities do seem to be trying to improve with bike infrastructure but it is slow process. Took our city few years but not they are doing much better. Your camera is looking down at sidewalk and not looking ahead. But other than that nice job on discussion and talk. Thank You. Peace.

Riding that bike, on throttle only, at those speeds on the sidewalk, is just plain irresponsible and dangerous.

So many countries see a bike as no different than a wheelchair for elderly and disabled to get around. Bikes shouldnt be on roads any more than a person walking, theyre just as vulnerable to being hurt

Then there's the ID chip the bikes with readers along the road. Readers ID's the bike and sends tickets out in the mail. WE ARE WORKING ON THIS. So be prepared to OBEY.

It doesn’t surprise me. It seems a bit of a stretch because the cost to developers and install such a system and manage it all for a ticket on a bike path?!?! I see California and NY but not Ohio. Not yet😬
