    The issue is digital to analogue converters, I'm pretty convinced. As guitar signals are analogue, being able to maintain that as purely as possible is the key to getting as authentic 'feel' as possible. As you know, I'm a big advocate of using digital gear at home to create demos and to practice with. If I'm playing live, I will almost always be using a tube amp pushed with some choice pedals. It makes me sound better to my ear and it feels better to me, which in turn makes me play better than if I were to be distracted by the tone. Considering, I picked up my tube amp for a similar price that I'd be picking up a digital amp, I didn't even have to compromise in that respect either so it's a no brainer.

    @@BudgetPedalChap that's the other consideration. You look at the new Laney and Blackstar solid state options, they are pro amps at crazy budget prices. Katana has jumped the shark a little now, far too complex.

  • @BudgetPedalChap
    @BudgetPedalChap20 сағат бұрын

    @@yaguitar if they are true solid state also, they'll probably sound much better too as they are not forcing the signal through the filter of a converter first. Some players still swear by the early solid state amps, I mean look at the jazz chorus.

    I've currently got a Carl Martin ampster. I doesnt interact well with my cabsim pedal and the on-board cabsim is a bit too boomy for me even after using the voice switch. Whats your opinion on this orange in comparisson to the ampster. I need a good clean from the unit and to use as a platform for my drive pedals.

    I have one of these units and really never fails to amaze me . One trick some other users taught me in a group chat was moving the S/R block putting it between the Amp block and IR block .......makes a HUGE diifference . Another cool trick is moving the Effects block to the end of the signal chain and select the Compressor . This will give the amp a very realistic tube amp feel .........Nice demo and enjoy !

    They have resprayed the new series. Same pedals different colour. The Flanger is purple. I have found iset to be better quality than some other budget brands. Can't get the Shield fuzz but was sent 2 Wheat Fuzz and free power supply. So many rebranded pedals I have lost track of the brand. But worth the money.

    Jet makes great guitars but their customer service is sorely lacking, I own 4 jets a 400 a 450 a 700 and a 1000, the js400 I just bought left with a bad neck and I tried reaching out to them but was told they couldn’t help me, luckily I found a replacement neck at reverb for 62 dollars so I’m waiting on it to arrive. Unfortunately I had began modding my guitar with new pickups pots wiring, custom graphics wrapped Wilkinson locking saddles and trem, locking tuners and was going to install a lsr roller nut due to the stock nut being very badly cut on the G string and went to remove the stock nut but someone had used so much glue that tapping it with a wood block and rubber mallet was proving difficult and when it finally popped out 3/4 of thr front side of the nut slot came off with the nut and was so attached that I couldn’t even get it off without it coming off in pieces, I contacted Jet about the issue and was told they couldn’t help as they don’t offer necks separately, I even offered to pay for it but no luck with them, I’m thankful that I found one at reverb to save the guitar. Now my other Jets are amazing guitars at a affordable price and I realiy every company will have the occasional lemon slide through and that’s luck of the draw but Jet needs to offer replacement parts in my honest opinion I’m not bashing them, just saying things how they are

    I actually like warming up with larger picks like the big stubby and then switching to a more traditional Jazz III or Flow style pick for actually playing. I find it helps me tighten up my playing a bit. So, when I go to use something around 1-1.5mm thick, I feel like I'm almost surgically precise with my picking.
