seems to me like seasonal floods could be captured in dams and used for irrigation and pasture land with a series of large earthen dams.

This a a highly protected area just reserved for conservation, and although there is plenty of fertile land, it will never happen!
Fantastic video. Our trip to Sossusvlei has been cancelled twice due to Covid. Hoping to make it September 2022, fingers crossed.

Baie moi video. We have been there in 2012. Unfortunately we could not experience such a wonderfull act of nature. Makes one feel homesick. A South African now leaving in Switzerland. Please carry on with your videos. Totsiens tot later.

What is the type of vegetation there? Plants are quite lesser in number.. do wild animals exist there? But.. it's a beautiful land😃

There are camelthorn trees ( acacia Erioloba) of which the pods are eaten an then different types of grass. Wildlife is oryx, springbuck and ostrich.

I watch your videos because I've been to Namibia twice. I visited Waterberg and took a lot of pictures. I climbed on top of these mountains and gazed at the landscape in the distance. It's very flat. I was totally blown away. This country is enchanting. Always have good trips.

Great Video Johann. This journey should be recorded in your GPS so it will make the way to explore further for a future project. This place got be rich in rare minerals and a bed rock to study life in Mars. Keep in touch.

Thanks Johann, for the info. This country is in my bucket list to retire. So I can do Safari every weekend and save 30K$$ every time. Paradise still exist in this land lets keep it secrete and encourage the new generation to protect it and keep the peace. Next time I will pay the gas and food, our ladies will do the cooking and you the driving and the guide tour, our dogs the security. I will advice you on a special type of tour. I think high schools, colleges and universities may be interested in doing a in-depth soil and rock studies. This place is ideal for that. This place have some Mars exploration answers. Keep in touch.

Interesting rock formations indeed. Why the "heavy" music? Not particularly crazy of the special effects, not suited for your subject! Pay more attention to your voice over as there is a great deal of echo. Nice effort and I noticed you are travelling alone so a lot of time for yourself and camera!!
