BMW BERLIN-MARATHON

BMW BERLIN-MARATHON

The BMW BERLIN-MARATHON is one of the biggest running events worldwide. Closing in on the 50th edition, SCC EVENTS has brought at hundred thousands of athletes to the 42.195 kilometres-long race through the German capital . Among them running legends like Eliud Kipchoge, Haile Gebrselassie and Kenenisa Bekele. The course, known to be one of the fastest in the world has brought several world records over the years.
After the forced break in 2020 due to COVID, the race experienced a great new start in September 2021 - made possible by a hygiene concept that organiser SCC EVENTS has worked out together with the Berlin Senate Department for the Interior and Sport.

There was a time, not so long ago, when the world believed that not only could women not run a mile, but in doing so, she would damage her uterus and ruin her ability to give birth. HA!

@@ryanstock7094 it was nothing special but I’m still very proud of myself for my 20 mile run in training I’d run average pace 8:49 per mile, so for my actual marathon I set my goal to be 8:54 per mile but I ended up running 8:45 and my overall time was 3 hours 49 mins, I thought i had a good chance of getting under 3 hrs 55 mins but I didn’t think I could go under 3 hours 50 so I’m very happy with how it went
