Everything is relative. Some people like the vintage some people like the new. I owned a 916 about 20 years ago and now I own a 2021 R1 and I love them both. I remember when the 916 first came out, journalists were questioning whether it was too extreme for the road as people question whether todays bikes are too extreme. its not a new question. If manufacturers did nothing to the technology, we would probably complain that everything has become boring and that manufacturers are being lazy, turning out the same old thing year after year. That's one of the reasons why the British motorcycle industry collapsed back in the '60s. We now have the option to choose vintage or new. I think we are in a better place now.

I own a '01 748s and a '22 v2 and they are the only two bikes I've fallen in love with after driving them for the first time. Never going to sell either, they've become part of the family :)

I tried a 54 RST suit on today and I could have worn a 40ltr bumbag on the back of my waist under the leathers. The chest was snug, the legs were skintight and the length was too short. I’m 182cm, 109cm chest, 92cm waist and 87kgs.

Got three now. 2004-2007. My experience is that the electrical is poor quality. Gearboxes are easily worn out. to bad the cylinder is nikasil: expensive. Plastic parts are hard to get. Aftermarket often poor quality. That is all forgotten while riding the rocket.... 🙂

you're not supposed to stand up straight in race fit suit. RST is a badass suit for the money. Its shaped for you to be sitting on the bike, not standing. The tight crotch is not bad when you are in a tuck position while on the bike.

one of the oldest red-herrings in the game, and easily answered. bikes are not one-dimensional in the sense that they only are "200 hp blah blah blah" bikes. They are bikes that are capable of making 200hp blah blah blah. What you need, is a bike that performs well enough to meet your standards of happiness, well enough to make you want to buy and own that bike. Otherwise it's not worth the trouble. It's that simple.

Just to be aware, practising mock tests all over again until you get good at them is not an effective way to revise in 2025. It is best to go for a professional training company for theory test revision to ensure you pass first time without causing you to lose money and time in terms of passing bro

I've tried a few and Rev It fits me far better than any other. Alpinestars always seemed like it was too big on me, smashing my balls at the same time and overall not fitting well. I see it's the same with the presenter. When he sits on the bike, the suits crumbles like it's not his size at all. With my Rev It I can walk fairly normally and it's so much more comfortable, it's not even a contest.

Down the road from me a fella had a yellow 748R up for sale, old and battered...at that stage i just started a new business and could not get the couple of thousand dollars together to buy it. It was original, not cared for, it was love at 1st sight as it was my dream bike from 15 years prior to this 'deal'. Still have dreams of maybe one day meet one again...my business is doing well now... ha ha ha ha.

I traded-in a Lexus RC 350 on a C43 AMG. It does everything better than the RC; handling, comfort, acceleration, exhaust note and mileage. I rarely got better than 20 mpg with the Lexus on the highway, but get 32-ish mpg with the Mercedes.

7:40 watcha going on about? Ducati switch between single and double headlights all the time. Yes 748/916 had this feature, but it means nothing. Paso, 999, single. Monster single. Scrambler single. Diavel, single. Multistrada single. I could go on.
