    How to use Potassium sorbate in soap?? 🎉🎉🎉 hi and ty!

  • @CherryRockCreations
    @CherryRockCreationsАй бұрын

    Hi! I'm not familiar with using Potassium Sorbate. I found this on soapmakingstudio.com: "Potassium sorbate is a natural cosmetic and food preservative. Potassium sorbate is very active against mold and fairly active against yeast. Because it is not active against bacteria, potassium sorbate should be combined with other preservatives or preservative systems to prevent bacterial growth. Potassium sorbate may oxidize in products with a high water content, so the product should also contain an antioxidant, such as ROE or vitamin E. Sold as "prills" or solid, white micro-noodles Directions: Potassium sorbate is very soluble in water; add to water phase. Maximum use is 0.5%. To be effective, potassium sorbate must be used in cosmetic products that are pH 4.5 or lower. (Higher pH products such as liquid or cream soap require Neolone PE.)" I use Germall Plus for my preservative. I haven't had any issues with it so far, lol. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching ❤

    Awe, thank you! That's a great question. Of course, a lot of it will depend on your skin. The sugar (or salt, if that's what you're using) removes the dead, dry skin. I don't recommend using it daily because you can easily irritate the skin underneath. Start with twice a week, and if your skin does well with that, but you still feel like you want to exfoliate more, then go up to three times. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching💖

  • @CherryRockCreations
    @CherryRockCreations5 ай бұрын

    Yes, the fragrance oils are generally too thick/heavy to make it up the stick. You don't have to use a pre-made base, though. You can make your own. Hopefully, I can get a video made on that in a week or so. Thanks for watching! 😁

    You can’t really use the percentage that you told us to use because certain oil sense has stronger sense through you to figure out how much you have to put in and play around with it and they do sell the ones that goes on your air vents

  • @CherryRockCreations
    @CherryRockCreations5 ай бұрын

    You are correct that certain scents are stronger than others. When checking the IFRA guidelines for the fragrances I used, they all had "No Restriction" or "100%" for the category that oil diffusers would fall under. I encourage everyone to do their own testing because some fragrances are overpowering. I personally like powerful scents, but you may not. As far as fragrances on air vents, I'm not sure what you're referencing. The base I bought from WSP, but the majority of my fragrance oil comes from Aztec. Aztec isn't going to tell me which of their fragrances will work with WSP's oil diffuser base, so all of my fragrances have to be checked. Thank you for reaching out and for watching!😜

  • @CherryRockCreations

    Absolutely! Mica is expensive in my opinion, and not worth using in the car oil diffusers. I tried using candle dye, which worked great, but it's really concentrated. I had to dip a toothpick in the dye and use that to color a small amount of the diffuser solution, lol. If you're interested in trying that you can buy the same dye that I use at Aztec Candle Supply: www.candlemaking.com/oil-based-liquid-dye-for-candles.html Thanks for watching and for the great questions! Can it be used in the face?

  • @CherryRockCreations
    @CherryRockCreations9 ай бұрын

    That's an excellent question! The safety of using ingredients on a person's face depends on various factors, including the individual's skin type, allergies, and sensitivities. However, I can provide some general information about the ingredients in this recipe: 1. Shea Butter: Shea butter is a popular natural moisturizer and can generally be used safely on the face. It is suitable for many skin types, but individuals with very oily skin may find it a bit heavy. 2. Mango Butter: Mango butter is also a natural moisturizer and is usually safe for use on the face. Like shea butter, it may be too heavy for those with very oily skin. 3. Stearic Acid: Stearic acid is a fatty acid often used as an emulsifying agent in cosmetics and skincare products. It is generally safe for use on the face when used in appropriate concentrations. 4. Emulsifying Wax: Emulsifying wax is used to blend oil and water-based ingredients in skincare products. It is typically safe for the face when used in cosmetic formulations. 5. Germall Plus: Germall Plus is a preservative commonly used in cosmetic products to prevent microbial contamination. It can be safe when used at appropriate concentrations, but it's essential to follow usage guidelines to avoid overuse, which can lead to skin irritation. 6. Fragrance Oil: The safety of fragrance oils can vary significantly depending on the specific formulation and the individual's sensitivities. Some fragrance oils can be irritating to the skin, especially if they contain allergenic compounds or are used at high concentrations. It's essential to do a patch test before using a product with fragrance on your face, and consider using fragrance-free products if you have sensitive skin. If you plan to use these ingredients to make your own skincare products, it's crucial to use them in appropriate concentrations and adhere to good manufacturing practices. Additionally, if you have any skin conditions, allergies, or sensitivities, it's a good idea to consult with a dermatologist or skincare professional before using new products on your face to ensure they are safe for your specific skin type and needs. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching❤

    You want to stay away from plastic bags. I use 4" x 6" cello bags from Rustic Escentuals. I believe they are polypropylene bags. Here's the link to them. I hope it helps! Thanks for watching😁❤️ www.rusticescentuals.com/products/4-x-6-Crystal-Clear-Flat-Poly-Cello-Bags.aspx

    Thank you! It's not hard, just a little time consuming waiting for it to melt to the right consistency. It does give your arm a workout trying to mix it at first. Don't give up. Keep going and it'll be fine. Thanks for watching ❤️
