So, does anyone know how to adjust the sound on the G100 series? I have quite a few from the G100 series, and some of them beep when the "Mode" button is pressed and some don't beep. Does anyone have any idea on how to turn the sound on/off? Cause I've been through the manual and it doesn't say.

I wore the G-100 working in a car garage every single day for 5 years I never left the house without it on my wrist I pretty much put it through hell it's still working like new aside from a few scratches but I liked it so much I had to buy another one to wear as my everyday watch lol 👍🏻

Ich kann die Uhr nur empfehlen. Sie ist sehr gut verarbeitet und passt prima an mein 16,5 cm Handgelenk, ohne irgendwie zu stören. Die Optik ist ein Hingucker. Das ETA Werk ist sehr genau +2/Tag bei mir. Ich liebe sie.

Just bought mine second hand on Vinted- the case is bust to pieces hence the £15 price. I’ve ordered a new replacement Bezel for £15 so in total a classic Gshock for £30 is a steal for me ❤😊

51 mm effective l2l is ridiculous, Certina never seem to learn on the l2l, still gonna try it at the store though, hopefully wont be that bad

I picked this one up from eBay, for the money I think you’re better off with an aftermarket bracelet. Now there are plenty of offering that even have screws for the links. That would be way better than the original pressed metal bracelet.

I have the same watch. It's a good looking watch that is durable and does what a watch is suppose to do, so what's the down size? One can pay more for a similar watch if their looking for status but I'm past that stage in life.

I do not wear anything but orient. I just am very drawn to orient. An their orient star line. I just love a japanese timepiece on my wrist. I have had quite a few different orient models, an i will never want or need to buy a exspensive swiss watch. Orient is just so right for me.

I don’t think this model has that function but I could be wrong. I didn’t read that fine print manual. I don’t think anyone does. We just press the buttons and find out what it does.

Does this movement use a capacitor or battery? People seem to use those two terms interchangeably

These use a capacitor as it can accumulate and distribute power, so capacitor is the correct terminology.

Yes it would be difficult as everything has to come off from the front in order to access the hands

I ordered this from eBay for 345 plus tax and shipping. It came out to 385 and got the hex bracelet from Long Island watch for 58 after coupon. Much cheaper than the strapcode bracelet. It looks very nice and unique. Even better than Omega seamaster. I just wish it was a tad smaller.

The bezel on the mm 200 reduced has a black aluminum insert with Seikos hard coating for added durability and gives it a glossy finish. As a reviewer that is kinda important info.

The SRPE03 comes on the bracelet. I just purchased the Seiko rubber strap.

I have the same model, I bought at Walmart for 50 bucks, 14 years ago! Still on the original battery, and wear it almost every day. I have worked in a high security prison for 15 years, and it’s still works the same as it did when I bought it. I’m guessing I will have to change the battery out once, maybe twice before I die. Lol

Great review... At least the G100 has some lume! Too many G Shocks don't! It's a classic, and that's why it's still being made after so many years - tough, clear readable dial and basic useable functions. The more complications there are the more stuff to fail and go wrong!

How does this wear compared to the 43mm version? Lug to lug on the larger model measures 51mm I believe.

I have both as well. SPB143 is probably my favorite of 6 seiko divers but I do not own a MM300 yet so that might change :P Yes these watches are getting more and more expensive but so is everything. I owned the gen1 MM200 and 62mas and prefer the latest versions even though they are more expensive.

Great review. My first one of these bought last week was running visibly 2 min a day fast. Tried it on a freebie watch timing app out of interest 125 seconds face up, 136 seconds 12 down.(156 seconds 12 up!) UK department store processing a refund currently as no exchange in stock and dont offer a regulation service. It also came in a Seiko 5 branded box with SRPE037k1 stickers on? And no signed warranty. My second version bought this week from a watch dealer, slightly dearer, proper box and card, 14 seconds face up, and i love it. Is going to alternate with my Sharp Edged for office duty whilst the Sumo and King turtle take care of the rough stuff.

Great review. I have the 62 and sometimes feel that it’s just a little too thick, but I still love the watch even with all of its “flaws” (fitment of endlinks, accuracy).

thanks - can i swith the strap to army strap too - cf well how easy do you change your straps on the GShock !? are there any differences between the various GShock-models: are there out there some models that are very easy to fit - with new Straps!? well i love to switch between various straps: heard about various sets of straps: a striped Bond NATO in soft seatbelt quality or an elastic band in the Marine Nationale style (with red “center” seam) are also worth considering - nothing stands in the way of a lively band change: love to hear from you

I am very disappointed that my new King S ST Ocean is gaining 30 seconds per day. This is almost 4 minutes per week, so once a week I have to reset it. I find it unacceptable that such an expensive watch ($600) has such low quality control. Now, for the record, nobody uses them for diving nor bets their life on them thus. Every diver uses a diving computer.

I bought the King S STO. I paid like 600 USD for it. This darn watch, expensive as it was, gains 30 seconds per day. You’d imagine that the quality control would be better. I am quite disappointed that after just buying it I’m going to have to take it to be fixed.

Good review, the glacier blue dial is fantastic than it appears on camera. Have the SPB210 Emerald dial, beautiful watch and accurate out of the box. Losing 3 seconds a day, but will continue to see how it does over 3 months.
