    Love your D-MAX build. I have a 23 D-MAX too but an SX crew cab chasis. The reason behind the SX was to start on a blank canvas (so to speak) and build it up to what I want. I have installed your cv boot shields and bonnet struts and they work great. Impressed with those headlights. Looking forward to some more content. Cheers, BobbyB.

    My auto BT50 did this. Rattles on idol some times until it breaks more. Mazda inspected a few times over the space of a few months and didn’t find it. Someone online posted there’s, I stuck my camera on video in and saw the same cracks, both sides completely cracked and centre bush flogged. Took back to Mazda and they didn’t still even diagnose it after I showed them photos and told them what happened. Didn’t accept their no, they reinspect and agreed to finally replace. I suspect it has happened to a lot of these unknown to the driver yet!

     Great channel, great products, great info! My stock 2023 MUX since day 1 brand new has a feeling of movement/ play through the steering wheel whenever the suspension is moving (compression or rebound). Most noticeable when stoping at a set of lights and the suspension rebounds from compression, you can feel movement back and forth through the steering wheel that matches suspension movement. No noise/ knock whatsoever, just a very noticeable feeling of movement through the steering wheel Do you think movement in the rack might be the culprit? Of course ISUZU couldn’t find the fault, a quick bit of silicone spray on the suspension pivot points and out the door… Thanks MUNJI👍

    Does this apply to 4jj2? I feel the ladder chassis has been engineered with a tad too much flex causing a few issues. The issue video subject mount, inner guard cracks and the body mount failures imho and the suspect re this being the flimsy front bolt up cross member. Replaced that myself with the cross member from Superior Engineering for diff drop. That plus full chassis Boos Bash plated to transfer case. Combined chassis flex reduced imho and as a result less stress on engine mounts, on body mounts and other components reducing failures imho. This is just a theory of mine. Keep up the good work and mod ideas mate.

  • @Munji4x4Accessories
    @Munji4x4Accessories2 ай бұрын

    Thanks, mate. Yes, bash plates will increase rigidity, but crossmembers won't unless there is diagonal bracing in it. The flex in the chassis is to improve drive quality along with a lot of other aspects ie. Softer, body mounts and engine mounts. Some are just simply poorly designed but great for spare parts departments... This one here is directly related to the new rear engine mount/gearbox mount on the manual and auto of the 4jj3 platform.

    @@mattpearson5339 So my car goes in tomorrow to be inspected but my symptoms are a very noticeable judder/play in the steering rack that feels vertical more so then front to back. @@astingordon-cooke6633 that sounds very similar to mine, hope it all goes well for you with today’s check and keen to hear how you go! To feel movement through the steering wheel in my mind it has to be the rack or the column itself, and given MUNJI’s video it’s looking like play in the rack is a likely cause on both our vehicles Fingers crossed for you and let me know how you go 😊👍

    Thats a very honest bit of feedback mate cheers. I do appreciate it. The 35's are an over compensation but for this build its needed for a pure offroad rig. Normally I stick to the 33's or 35 AT's on my patrol but even for 33's with a big offset the chop is needed. If you get the clearance from castor adjustment you running a high risk of making the bumpsteer issue even worse. But these 35 are way too agressive for any street car, I do wanna check it out with a more sedate tire and offset 😉

To me, the damage you’ve stated seems minor and won’t take much to make it drivable. It seems to me that the statutory wright off rules have got far to strict over the last decade.

    G'day mate Its a shame to see go to waste at the minor amount of damage we have seen. -It has slight damage to the chassis plate that protects the power steering motor. -bent uca on left side -melted plastics from being close to a fire. -codes related to missing radars at rear. Other than that its seems fine. But being stolen recovery sometimes they do state unknown engine damage from being thrashed.. Still a pitty but a score for us to assist with further research and development.
