Regarding rules for Finnish wilderness search "jokaisenoikeudet" ( everyone's rights ). You may also encounter the old sexist form "jokamiehenoikeudet" ( every man's rights ). Afaik the rights have always applied to everyone. We just used to have inaccurate terminology in the past, and some of the words stuck.

Important. Auroras appear in 11 year cycles, because of the sun. Next peak happens in 2024 - 2026. Last winter here was nice auroras even in middle Finland.

The auroras are caused by charged particles from the sun interacting with the upper atmosphere. Because of physics the particles move along Earth's magnetic field towards the magnetic north and south poles, so that's why you see auroras mainly close to the north and south poles. The more active the sun is the stronger the auroras and the more south in Finland you can see them. I'm 47 years old and I have seen the northern lights here near the south coast of Finland only a few times. One reason is also that here in the south there is so much light pollution from all the urban areas. She had a good point about the apps, because a low probability is not zero chance, so just go outside and you might get lucky.

Koli National Park is in eastern Finland. In national parks it's generally allowed to hike and ski wherever you want, except for some areas that should be left alone for example when birds are nesting. There are strict rules what you are allowed to do and in general don't disturb the nature, don't litter, only camp and make fire in designated areas. I think most national parks have hiking trails and small shelters here and there, but if you go alone deep into the forests of eastern and northern Finland you had better know how to take care of yourself because civilization can be very far away and even mobile phones don't necessarily work in all areas.

The car has a talking navigator. Man: Where are we? Car: We are here. Man: And the answer is "We are here". They also imagine they can drive from Finland to North Africa in a day. Then from North Africa to South Africa in a day. And across South America in a day. And back home on the fourth day after driving around the world. And so on.

Hello dear Blessing, Finnish symphonic metal band called Nightwish is my top 1 favorite 🤘 Please react Nithwish live song called 'Ghost Love Score', live at Wacken 2013. Nightwish army enters your channel then ❤🤘Nightwish is formed 1996 and the master mind is Tuomas Holopainen (keyboards), he is our metal Mozart, our Finnish national treasure. I am sure you like that live song. At Wacken festival there is about 82000 people listening to Nightwish. Floor Jansen (Goddess) is the current singer, I am sure you like her voice 🥰

This guy puts out some of the most generic stuff I have ever seen. He did AI media before AI, it seems. So many errors, it is not even funny. The Swedish flag is much older that the 1900's, it is just that it changed colors slightly to a lighter set than what it had previously - this was done after the union with Norway ended. Finland was about 1/3 of the Swedish Kingdom for 6-700 years - they did not exist as a country at all until they fought tooth and nail to get free from Russia in the early 1900's. Our Finnish brothers have come so far in just little more than 100 years - proud to share history with them!

Some finnish research also shows, that there is a strong correlation to good school results in Finland and to the two facts : Firstly fact that lunch is served for everyone and secondly, lessons are paused with 15 minutes breaks, during which is almost mandatory to visit outside of the school building. These two things add up to raised energy level and ability to concentrate during lesson hours. Simple as that.

I didn't recognize over half of these songs since this is not what I listen to. I couldn't find in the original video what this list is based on, but I assume it's probably statistics from Spotify or something. One important thing that the maker of the original video commented is that this list only includes songs in Finnish intended for the Finnish market. So everything sang in another language or targeted for the international market (i.e. everything I listen to, EDM/electronic music, metal) is left out, even Darude's Sandstorm, which doesn't have any lyrics. Edit: Darude - Sandstorm has 277 million views on KZread (yes, it's a very old meme, but I like the song): kzread.info/dash/bejne/q2pllJKKf8_Zlrg.html

@@Blessing_Reacts I didn't even remember where the meme started, so I had to check. This is copied from a meme dictionary I found: n 1999, Finnish DJ and music producer Darude released a hit techno song called “Sandstorm.” The epically upbeat song went on to be used in film, on television, and at sporting events, but it also gained massive popularity as the background music gamers chose to set their playthrough videos to. In 2007, the KZreadr GameStream played “Sandstorm” as background music for gameplay footage of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. While not the first to pair gaming footage with this song, this video garnered millions of views, and “Sandstorm” soon caught on with other gamers. The song was especially widespread on Twitch, a live-streaming video website. In chats on the site, viewers often ask gamers the name of the song playing behind their video. The answer Darude - Sandstorm became so common that by 2013 users were giving it as a generic response for all songs.

Regarding history, the Swedish kings started to expand to Finland in the 12th century and from the southwest. the area around present day Turku, the Swedish rule spread over the coming centuries to all of what is now Finland. Turku is Finland's oldest city and is considered to have been founded by the Swedes in 1229, when it was first officially mentioned in a letter from the pope Gregorius IX. You can't really call it a Swedish invasion, because there was no Finnish nation at that time, only small villages and settlements here and there. So technically Finnish history is Swedish history from the 12th century to 1809, when Russia took Finland from Sweden. And because of this joint history, the Finnish society is mostly based on how things were done in Sweden and ties between our two countries are still very close.
