    Hey man, I just bought one of these recently, should I be concerned about plugging the rubber hose somewhere in it? Technically asbestos could get through that too, right?

    our pants have elastics in the pant leg which I was taught to tighten below the sock after folding it down then take all the excess and fold it under the elastic.

    I used the sock method. The big thing is having enough extra leg of your pants at the bottom to make sure even when you stretch or run the blouse doesn't come completely undone. You probably want trousers that are a touch "too long" so you have that length to work with.

    I loved Richard Roxburgh's portrayal of Hawke. I also really liked the way Hawke was portrayed by the script. I remember the interviews with him and I voted for him. It would have been nice if Australia had become a Republic at that time. As sympathetic as I am towards Diana, her popularity may have let to a lost opportunity to off-load that pack of royal parasites for good.

    For a service tunic use a Great War tunic they are I believe the same pattern with minor differences. Replace the button with the general service button(metal with the Aust. Embosed). Again my understanding is that the patten was the same as the 1914/1917 patten (very minor differences between them). As the war progressed the length if the skirt shortened alittle. The big change happens with the patten 44 tunics but these are nit really seen until the very end of the war and into Korea 1950-53.

    In the 1960s the Army Surplus store in Ft. Myers Florida somehow had a lot of Australian surplus. I used that canvas “small pack” as a book bag/carry-all for years.

    The thing is China a communist regime and Bob Hawke a traitor against the commonwealth as we now have the Hansard on the house floor of the commons when Bob Hawke told the house of commons we had an election to severe from the british crown a lie and its all coming out "God Save the Queen" our Commonwealth Of Australia constitution still lives . In addition the created a legal fiction called "Queen Of Australia" (WHitlam created under Royals & Styles ACt) which has no authority..

    Very nicely put together, it might be worth looking into getting the belt to match the shades of the other components. In the British Army, puggarees had to be folded by the individual the hat was issued to. I wonder whether this may be the case for the AIF?

  • @AIFReenacter
    @AIFReenacter Жыл бұрын

    From what I know, in Australia the puggaree come stitched and already folded as it was a carry over from the interwar period (militia units and certain reserve forces all had different puggaree as identification). By the time the war came around it was a standardised thing and mass produced. I believe the different folds in the puggaree could be the difference between early war and late war manufacturing. It’s something I plan on researching in the coming weeks
