    Well dunno if ill get a reply but...I did everything in order but i can't get rid "ghost" effect from LED's.."just flip them over" yeah but then they don't work...?

  • @RyanGofast
    @RyanGofast5 ай бұрын

    Hey! I definitely reply to all of my comments and I'm glad you asked the question. The short answer is, most LEDs, especially those sold on Ebay or Amazon, and are a bit more problematic. With older cars, the LED replacements you have will work, but they likely have to be flipped if you are getting that "ghosting" effect I mentioned. Newer cars, however, use CANBUS and you need to have higher quality LEDs. I would recommend buying your LEDs from Morimoto or Headlight Revoltuon. Can you explain exactly what issue you are having? BTW, if you have to flip the LED to eliminate the ghosting or flickering, it's because the socket is polarized and so are the bulbs. Yes, the light will still come on, but it won't work properly.

    Air flow is from firewall to cabin. You can't just slide the filter straight out, there's a wiring harness a few inches from it right in the way, thankfully the pleats are vertical so you can flex it towards you as you pull it out to miss the wiring harness. Then reverse with the new one. Mine is a 2013, only one screw in the bottom. Also there's a semi-flexible cloth shroud under the dash/glove box that has to be pulled out and down. it comes out without removing any clips.

    They are all in the same housing. There is one white bulb for reverse and I believe 2 for the brake lights in each housing . The LED lights on the limited and high altitude trims on the refresh model are very very different and there aren't any bulbs to replace. You'd have to replace the whole housing.

    Your video helped me not to ruin my glove box getting it open, so thanks for that. As far as the K&N filter, I've used engine air filters on cars and a motorcycle with excellent results. However, care must be taken when using one for on a vehicle with automatic climate control system. Not over-oiling it is necessary so as not to contaminate any sensors that provide feedback to the system.

    Are you referring to the light housings/lamps or the bulbs themselves?. Gently pull the bulbs out with bulb removers or your fingers. Just don't squeeze too hard or you'll shatter the glass. They are pretty durable though. To remove the housings, use a plastic prybar. It depends on which lamp though. Some have clear plastic that pops right out with no need to remove the whole housing while others require you to remove the whole housing.

    If you are talking about the one positioned on the ceiling between the rear seats and the front seats, you just need to pull firmly. Use a plastic pry-bar too if you got one to help you pull it out far enough to get your fingers in. But there are two metal retaining clips that really hold the fixture in and therefore require a careful amount of force. Now the one up front in between the mirrors, that one requires more patience and care but I believe it too has metal retaining clips. When you pull, you might here some "cracking" sounds or something snapping. If you were careful, then that's normal. Just the clips popping out of their slots.

  • @RyanGofast

    There is, but as far as the hub goes, you'll need the correct size socket (they make ones specific for hubs...get the black kind at auto zone or other hardware store. They are a stronger material and made for really tight bolts/lugs/nuts) . You will also need a long breaker bar. The longer the better as the longer bara will increase torque output/leverage. • @RyanGofast

    I found that in the Dart, it is very picky with bulbs. I eventually put Morimoto bulbs in it from The Retrofit Source which, though more expensive, solved the "ghosting" faded light effect. Honestly though, the dim light won't kill your battery. LEDs use way less power than halogens and you can imagine how much less is used at such a dim level. Up to you if you are OK with that dim light or if you want to upgrade to something from Morimoto or GTR lighting.

    @@RyanGofast broooo but my Ac smells so bad so what do I do about that ?

  • @RyanGofast
    @RyanGofast3 жыл бұрын

    @@OlecyaNeely there are ways to clean out the whole system like a steamer, but my question to you would be, have you run into any dead animals, or spilled anything in the engine bay? Without a cabin air filtration system, your AC is simply sucking in air from outside, passing it through a heater or air compressor and refrigerant and blowing into the cabin hot or cold air. Your engine air filter will also play a small part in this process as well. Changing that out would be the first step. If it's a relatively new filter, make sure you clean out the airbox too. If you live in northern/colder climates, small animals like to "burrow" around your motor and can easily get into the airport. Your airbox can also suck in insects, and God forbid, small birds/bats. Its rare, but it happens. Lastly, have you spilled ANYTHING in your car, specifically things with proteins in them? Milk, plant water, protein drinks, coffee etc. If by chance you smoke, the tar will "live" in your seats and headliner and become more pungent over time. Getting a good degreaser meant for upholstery/fabrics is key. Chemical Brothers and Adam's polishes make good smoke removers. Let me know what you find or if you have any details about the smells.
