How to Change Jeep Renegade Tailights from Halogen to LED

Quick video on how to change the standard Halogen bulbs to LEDs in your 2017+ jeep Renegade.
This is where I typically get my bulbs, but you can find similar ones on Amazon.

You will need:
A flat head screw driver
10mm socket and wrench, preferally with an extension bar (6" or more) - this is optional. The screw driver will work fine too. This is to remove the bolt that holds the lamp to the vehicle.
Brake/DRL/Turn Signal bulbs - 1156 (there are 4 total - 2 in each lamp housing)
Reverse light - 921/T15. 2x (there is one reverse bulb in each lamp housing)
Phillips-head screwdriver with a narrow tip - this will be used to remove the protective bracket holding the bulbs in the housing.

Great video! So, no flickering or errors on the ECU whatsoever? Just swap and everything goes smooth? Thanks.

Correct! You're more likely to run into flickering with cheap LEDs but just make sure you get canbus ones. I have yet to get any errors with any of the LEDs I've used. Which is why I live The Retrofit Source

They are all in the same housing. There is one white bulb for reverse and I believe 2 for the brake lights in each housing . The LED lights on the limited and high altitude trims on the refresh model are very very different and there aren't any bulbs to replace. You'd have to replace the whole housing.

Do you run into any hyper flash issues after installation?

I have yet to experience the hyper flash with any of the bulbs I buy from Morimoto and The Retrofit Source. I have with some cheap bulbs from autozone and since stopped buying those. You may notice some hyperflashing with looking at the bulbs through a camera/camera phone but that's normal (depending on shutter speed/frame rate). But with these bulbs, installed the way I did in the video, zero flashing or errors.

Hi Jesse, I got most of my bulbs from The Retrofit Source. And some from Amazon. I will try and find the links to the exact bulbs but The Retrofit Source has a nice website that let's you put in make and model and year of the car and it'll show you exactly what bulbs to use
