*These things are awesome **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s very loud when they go off and I could hear it easily from 20 yards away from my pole. Also very sensitive that even a bluegill will trip it. But one of the alarms wasn't working, made a quiet click and a flash of the LED and it was it. Was fine since I'm only allow 2 poles in the state I live in. High quality and already came with batteries.*

*Don’t get me wrong I love them. And the adjustable volume is amazing>>>**allmy.tips/LixadaBiteAlarm?mmꉺ** as you don’t need to let the entire lake know you have a fish on (or maybe you do)... my issue was the volume knob broke within days and now inoperable. So great when they work like intended.*

Will this work on barb hooks too? Trout get wild and jump all over when i try to get a hook using forceps.

Man, seems like a Flintstones setup to me... too tedious.. just get the kind that clips on your rod and you loop your line through.. much simpler. I know if I'm squishing around on a wet bank like you I sure don't want to be squatting over and rigging some tedious contraption just to avoid WATCHING it.

I prefer to use a bit different aproach. I put the line on the groove and I slide it until it'll reach the hook. When the disgorger reaches the hook, I push it until the hook will be unhooked while, at the same time, I'll pull the line so that the hook will be 'secured' on the disgorger. More exactelly, after the hook leaves the place in which it was hooked, I pull the line so that the hook will remain 'attached' to the disgorger. To sum up, I slide the disgorger, unhook, tighten/pull the line/tense the line so that the hook will be secured on the disgorger. There are few types of disgorgers and different materials. I prefer those who are like the one showed in the video and those who are made from plastic. I tend to avoid the metalic ones as they seem a bit too.. 'sharp' for my tastes and for the fish safety and that's a posible risk to clip the line. Thanks for the video and tight lines!

Thanks very much for posting as a new very old angler this will prove to be very useful information for me. Particularly when you say not to poke about inside because of the heart and lungs locations. So much more thought about not hurting the fish than there was fifty years ago is brilliant.
