Not only do you have to be lazy, you have to be the kind of lazy where you will spend more time trying to find the easy way to do something than it would have taken to do it the hard way.

if you refer to being able to recognize 2^35 as easy, then you are seriously, seriously, seriously, overestimating the intelligence of the average person. think of a person with average intelligence. HALF OF THE POPULATION is dumber than the average person, that is pure statistics. even considering above average intelligent people, they would only recognize up to 2^32 since its the integer limit of 32 bit system

How wonderful to have these public lectures ❤ I am 62 and just started this past year learning maths as I couldn’t remember anything from school maths. This is so inspiring. Thank you

It's nkt necessarily harder but takes way longer to calculate, which makes it harder to efficiently expand from 2^77

A lot of this depends. For someone who looks at math from the outward most perspective they see the process and therefore evaluate the problems as equally easy. For someone who sees only the small piece presented they will see it from the perspective of just what they can see, therefore its a difficult problem. The thing here though is this is all dependent on perspective, which is non-inclusive by nature from one person to another. So I don't feel this can adequately be decided. It hinges on whether the one solving it knows a secret technically not related to the original question. "the knowledge its 2**35 and 2**42."

You British guys, your mathematics is not difficult, but rather good. Iraq, the sixth grade scientific curriculum for mathematics. It is true that this is a university and its curriculum is complex, but this is a preparatory stage and it is very complex. Functions, algorithms, complex numbers, space geometry, integration and differentiation are very complex....
