    This is another game I've never seen. I imagine clickers have issues.They are perhaps like zombies??? I imagine once you have the "virus" there is no coming back. I just wonder why they call them clickers. Maybe they make funny noises. LOL I am totally clueless about these guys, and I'm so tired I don't have the energy to look them up. 🙂Anyway, thank you for the review. I really need to get back to The Walking Dead. It's not right to start something and not finish it out. I'd go back and look up what you might have replied to the last video I watched, but for the life of me I can't recall which one I've seen. Gosh, that's bad, isn't it? 🙂THANK you for the review!!! You have a good one today!!! ❤

    This is one of my favorite games ever. It just has such a exellent story and great gameplay. It even became s show with two sesons on HBO, so I will be getting that show on BluRay very soon. Yeah, you could say that these clickers have «issues» LOL! Usually the theme is viruses and zombies, but not this time. It is actually some sort of spore that infects peoples brains. Eventually the spores will grow and create what you see here on peoples heads. The clicker is the second stage of the infection. It can’t see, but it will make clicking sounds as a form of echolocation and they will attack absolutely anything that makes a sound. You should really look up the game on KZread and watch the story. Im a grown man (or at least I think I am LOL) and I cried like a baby at least a couple of times while playing the game. You just connect and get so attached to the characters in the game and the story is really strong and emotional. I’ve always said that if you don’t cry at least once while playing The Last Of Us, then you have a heart of stone LOL.

    This is one of my most favorite science fiction creatures. I most certainly wouldn’t want this creature to be real LOL. Yeah, it is a tall figure but its supposed to be that. This is yet another example on how Hot Toys have managed to screw up a figure. Why the heck do they create joints on a figure and then cover it up with this rubber crap just to turn it into a statue… I don’t get it. This alien creature is supposed to be highly posable but you can barely move anything on it. Further more. The rubber crap they covered it in will eventually dry out and start cracking. On top of that, this figure was so expensive and it barely came with anything at all. As much as I love this alien creature, this is probably one of the worst figures in my collection LOL.

    I like looking up the names now. This apparently means God of Thunder and Lightening. It seems like there was another figure that had that meaning too. I can't remember which one though. Thus, the name has merit. I have to say the first head is gory. The first one looks like he's been zapped. The pissed off one had a bad bathroom moment. LOLOL I need to stop saying that, but I don't like those facial poses. LOL You have him in a cool ending pose!!! Again, the dental guy is my least favorite, but the first one is cool!!! Yes, it sure was. This is the very same Thunder God as the other Raiden I have, except this version is from one of the very first Mortal Kombat games while the other one is from the Mortal Kombat 11 game. Once again the accessories are awesome on these figures. The exploding head is Raidens fatality accessory and it is pretty gory LOL. The problem I have with these fatality accessories, is that I don’t want to use them on display because I don’t want to kill any of the characters LOL. The poses I tend put this figures in are their neutral fighting stance in the games. The poor dental guy… He only needs a hug LOL.

    Oooooh. I missed this one. I know clamshells keep things safe, but I don't like those things at all. I like this figure though an awful LOT!!! Kahn means small boat in German. The colors, or I should say the color combinations, are awesome. I especially like the main green, the tan, and the black in conjunction with the gold. The splash of red is a nice touch too. I thought the feathers were a bird before you took it out of the box. I was dying to know how it was going to be used. Even though it didn't go in all of the way, as a hair piece I think it is absolutely awesome. I think this one is one of the ones I have liked the most. You have a great day today. I think that IF they’re going to use plastic clamshells, then they should at least put something between the clamshell and the figure to avoid paint rubs. I didn’t know that Kahn means small boat in german though, however I know that Kahn means king/leader, or something like that in some language. There are two characters (that I know of) in the Mortal Kombat lore that has the name Kahn. Shao Kahn was the first one. The emperor of Outworld. This is Kotal Kahn, also a emperor of Outworld, but he was a emperor some time after the death of Shao Kahn. In Mortal Kombat, in Outworld, a Kahn seem to always be some sort of leader/king. Kotal Kahn is the leader of the Osh-Tekk (which I guess is based on the real life Aztecs in anicent Mexico). You can see the similarities in the design of the character. Kotal Kahn was a far more kind leader than what Shao Kahn was to put it that way. Kotal Kahn is supposed to be some sort of sun God, as far as I can tell from the Mortal Kombat lore. I bet I could get that feather piece in all the way if I heat up the plastic a bit, but I just didn’t bother to do it LOL.

I found a whole list for japanese names that I use when I make asian female figures. I think that using names that are very common today gets a bit boring. At least for me. Like using Anna, Kari, Mari, etc… which are common norwegian female names is a huge NO for me LOL. I also try to use names that would be suitable for the character Im making. I don’t want to use some typical western name for a asian character, for example. Sometimes when I buy a head sculpt the company will already have given some sort of name to it. Like i8 Toys and their NANA heads for example. There are several versions of it with different hairstyles too, so they must give that head various version ID’s. For such head sculpts I tend to create a version of the existing name. I have a Dolph Lundgren head from The Expendables movie. I simply called the figure I made «Dolphie» LOL. If the head is based on a actual person, then I might use that persons name. I have one head sculpt of a japanese adult movie star called «Yui Hatano», so thats the name I went with for the figure. I have two other heads from another prop set I got. Same head sculpts but two different face expressions. Those heads are based on a american adult movie star named «Julie». Since I had two of basicly the same head I did a set of twins. One kept the name Julie, while the other became Juliette. There was another head I hot that I used for a vampire/werewolf huntress. I named her Vanessa, based on the name Van Helsing. From the list of japanese names I gave you in my previous comment, I tend to use the meaning of the name based on the character Im making. I used the name Shizu (Silent) for a female ninja figure. Here is a website that you can use if you want to look up japanese names and their meaning. adoption.com/baby-names/origin/japanese

If you want to avoid going nuts when it comes to the world of a Mortal Kombat you’re better off leaving any expectations of realism at the door because nothing will ever make any sense LOL. Speaking of bombs. My oldest brother damn near blew his leg off while he was a kid. Him and his best friend found a WW2 land mine once that they’ve found in his friends garage. His friends dad had found it and for some reason kept it. My stupid brother and his friend had decided to play with it, so they made a hole in the backyard and sat around it while hammering with a rock on it trying to set it off. Since they were just kids at the time they didn’t know how big the explosion would be. They had blown up firecrackers before so they knew it would go bang. What they didn’t know was that it went KABOOM! instead, which resulted in blowing out half of the side of my brothers leg and left a huge hole in it. That was a mistake you only do once in life LOL. My brother was the only one that got injured in this mindblowing event though, and he learned a valuable lesson that day. How they both managed to survive the explosion is a mystery even today. Another sort of funny episode that involves blowing stuff up was done by a friend back when I was a teenager. My dumbass friend found some explosives at a digging site. Now! When I say «dumbass» I really meen dumbass in every sense of the word! This one found a old shed that he figured would be cool to blow up to kingdom come. While he placed the explosive in the shed and lit the fuse, the rest of us was taking cover behind a huge rock some distance away from the shed. The fuse on the explosive was even smaller that the brain on my dumbass friend, so we knew that the «Big Bang» was coming faster than Jesus second coming. Watching my dumbass friend trying to outrun the exploding shed and the pieces of the shed coming flying past us was a true once in a lifetime experience LOL. Man… The crazy things kids will do if given the chanse. I don’t know if this experience made my dumbass friend any smarter though, but by dumb luck and a hail Mary he is still alive today.

    In the games Raiden actually is the God of thunder and lightening, as well as the protector of Earthrealm. This particular figure was made by McFarlane Toys and only costed $20, compared to the Storm Collectibles figures that costs alot more (about $70 and alot more). These McFarlane Toys figures comes with almost nothing. Its just a stand and a very bare minimum of accessories. They are nice and affordable figures though, but they are basicly «statues» with buildt in articulation. Once you move any of the joints they really break up the sculpt, and the more bulk the figure has, the worse it looks. To me, the pose on a figure is half the expression of the shelf display. A pose should always make sense for the character and thats what I try to go for. This is why the articulation is so important on a figure, in my opinion. If you can’t put a figure in a pose that is suitable for the character, then the articulation is pretty much pointless the way I see it.

I thought the name sounded like he's a main player. I never would have thought sub-zero is though. Not in a million years. I didn't know they made 1/6 scale figures of Mortal Kombat. Wow. That blew my mind. I think they overdo 1/6 scale figures too. I mean how many figures do they need of a character that played a role 20 years ago or so rather than do something new. I'm always delighted when I see something new like when they made the Christopher Reeve Superman, the Adam West Batman, and the Burt Ward Robin. I wish they would make Eartha Kitt Catwoman or Zoe Kravitz in "The Batman" or Zendaya in Dune. Thus, I do my best to customize some things I think I can come close to hopefully, but more often than not, there are not head sculpts that will help me sadly. @@UndergroundActionFigures Yeah, the knife doesn’t go all the way in but I got it in there enough for the strap to go over the handle. I had to have the sheath on the figure and that wasn’t going to happen without the knife in it. So once I got the knife far enough into the sheath and I noticed that it wouldn’t take much for the strap to make it over the handle then I just forced it in there. Had to be careful though but I suspect that the knife is never coming out ever again LOL. Scorpion and Sub-Zero are sworn enemies and you can’t have one without the other. The story is that Sub-Zero killed Scorpions entire clan, his wife and child. That is the reason why Scorpion is hunting Sub-Zero. Then Scorpion kills Sub-Zero, but Sub-Zero has a younger brother that becomes the next Sub-Zero, which in turn seeks revenge for his older brother. That is the short version of the story anyway. Both these characters are strong fan favorites from the games, so when these two are left out of a MK game the fans usually aren’t very happy LOL. The various toy companies have taken notice of this so that is probably why both Scorpion and Sub-Zero are the two characters that usually gets a figure representation and gets the main focus. There are two companies that have made official 1/6th scale MK figures so far, and none of them have ever made more than three characters. This is why I got into the 1/12th scale versions of these figures hoping the I would end up with a full game roster of these. Sadly that seams to never happen though. The problem these days with these figures is the licenses and popularity. The Marvel and Star Wars brands seem to be the main focus as far as Hot Toys goes. Older characters from older movies gets overlooked because the companies depend on the newer movie and game releases as an advertizement for their products. Most youngsters today don’t even know who Adam West is, for example. If you are into the older versions of certain characters or figures like that, then you have to get custom made figures. But there are some companies that makes unlicensed figures that makes figures of older characters now and then. The problem I have with the unlicensed products is that they often lack proper quality control and they tend to suffer from poor materials and paint as well. Licensed figures usually have to be approved by the license owner, which helps keeping the quality of the figures on a certain level.

These figures are really cool and I hope that this line won’t suffer the same fate as the Mortal Kombat figures and get ended before the full roster is complete. I don't know why that happens . . . Maybe with more to paint, they lose details on larger figures, but you would think it would be the other way around. Weird. This guy is decked out and looks good. These smaller figures have gotten better and better these past years. These days they probably have better molding machines and they tend to use digital paint as well. I think I’ve seen this character fly in a animated MK movie, but its not what those wires are actually for. In the game, since he is a robot, he spins his head and flies up and down the screen using those wores to chop his opponent up in pieces LOL. A pretty silly looking move he has, but then again. It never stays long enough to enjoy skiing or have fun making stuff using the snow. It just turns into slurp. Then the temperature changes yet again, and then said slurp turns into ice! The roads gets more or less impossible to drive on due to the lack of proper plowing in due time. Where the snow has been driven on and compressed or where they’ve actually plowed but not good enough, there will be ice, ice and yet more dangerous ice. If you want to make something like this for a spesific set of figures, like for example the Justice League figures, then I would start off with putting the figures in the pose you want them in. You can even use temporary props if you want any of them to have their foot placed on some item. Then you place the posed figures on a table and try to put them just about where you need them to be, and then you measure up and take notes of their positions and where the pole for the stand needs to be. Transfer then all the information you’ve collected onto the base piece you’re going to use for your stand and swap out any temporary support pieces with what ever custom diorama pieces you make. This way you won’t have to come up with poses for the figures just so that they can fit on the stand you’ve made because you’ve now designed the entire stand according to their poses. When ever Im going to put several figures on one shelf I tend to put the figures on my table and mark up the size of the shelf on the table using tape. Then I pose and place the figures and try to come up with the best setup within that space before I place the figures exactly the same way on the display shelf. A very helpful method to use instead of just trying to force a figure in on a shelf with other figures.

  • @UndergroundActionFigures

    @@Eseres80 You're right. I have to be strategic. I will pose ahead time and see how the grouping will work out best. I think if they are somewhat interactive with each other, that will allow more closeness. Then I will measure and make sure I am careful there. My issue is patience. LOL I know this one will take time though. So I will save for a touch later. Yours came out well, and I can see four more could be easily added. It's a battle we fight . . . space. Where do we put things? Right now, my solution is to convert closet space. My husband builds me tons of shelves. So far it works. Once he is done with the closet he is working on, I will show you that one. It is a wonder how many figures can fit into a closet if designed right. 🙂Thank you Svein and have a great day today!!! 🙂

I use alot of the metal stands with the round base. They are space saving and generally cheaper than the regular oval figure stands, Thats the main reason I get them, gotta save some money where I can. Every little helps😂 Saw another channel making his own stands. He used a base and dowel up the trouser leg or in the back of the trouser belt. Obviously your figures have less clothing so thats not an option. Good idea and am sure this prototype will help you store more figures and when you make another I'd either space out the two rows more and give them an added height difference to show the back figures off more. Maybe 4 at the back 3 at the front? Get some of those round metal figure bases though. They are great space savers and will help you plan out your display and your design for your "multi stand" 2.0 Gòod vid mate👍😎

The other thing I didn’t think about when I made this stand is the name plates. I was way too focused on the figures being on it and completely forgot to consider the space for the name plates. Is more of a storage stand for the TBLeague figures that I tend to use for photos. Since I do pose those I can put them back in a more of a museum pose to take up less space. I am planning a full collection video at some point. The problem is that I always keep waiting for some figure to arrive so that it can be included in the video, though for some reason those figures keep on getting delayed. I think I just have to start working on the collection video anyway and get done with it. The detolf in this video was indeed in my bedroom LOL. Its the only detolf that I didn’t have space for in my collection room. I keep most of my TBLeague customs and base bodies in it. I’ve had a few TBLeague bodies in pretty extreme poses for quite some time without them being damaged. Some have however gotten some marks at the back of the knees, the inside of the elbows and at the hips on the front, though those marks have gone away after a while when I’ve straightened the bodies. I just try not to have too dramatic bends on the joints now to prevent getting those marks. Other than that I have no permanent damages to any of my TBLeague bodies. I do have two Jiaou bodies too that I did some «custom work» on to make them more «anatomical realistic». As far as I can tell that «custom work» haven’t damaged the bodies yet. I also keep my figures in pretty stabile conditions to prevent any damages. I guess that's good for stabbing at longer distances. The Assassin Creed figures have knives if I recall. The one thing I really thought was neat on this figure is that the ball joint matches the wrap arounds round his lower arms. That actually is a good idea. Those teeth kill me though. I figured that the brain had to go on his weapon. LOLOL Well, he wouldn't win a beauty contest, but I suppose he plays a strong roll in the game. I just don't like his teeth. I like the spawn figure the best in your set! He is COOL looking. Have a good one today!!! 🙂

    I found another one I haven't seen. I take it all the characters have different personalities with different powers maybe. That would be my guess. The dragon accessory is super cool. I'm surprised it is articulated I guess. It seems like that would cost more, but if reasonable, that is sure a nice touch. They always seem to have at least three heads for the figure itself. Again, that's a good way to go with these figures. Wow, the bend of the knee is dramatic. Wow, the three figures in the middle are smaller than the four arm figure. I didn't realize that. In fact, that four arm guy is almost as tall as the dragon. I'm glad the dragon didn't draw blood. LOL Bad dragon . . . bad dragon. I love the side view of the dragon better than the front view, but that is me. 🙂 Love it!!!

    Yeah, each and every character is very individual. That dragon is massive LOL! These huge figures in this line are socalled «bosses;sub-bosses» in the games and they are kind of stupid huge in comparison to the average characters in the game. I mean… They’re supposed to be huge, but tye difference isn’t this big in the actual games. However! The size of these huge fellows are sort of limited in the games due to the screen size and all that sort of things. The size of these characters in action figure form is based off their bios from the games, so in that sense their sizes is pretty accurate. In the version of the game which this particular figure (Liu Kang) is from, you can actually only see the dragon from the side. I like the dragon better from the side too wish I could fit it on the shelf though, but for the time being I only display just the figures and not any of their accessories just to save space. The idea was to set all these figures up properly once the entire line was finished, which is why I bought a bookcase just for the sake of these Mortal Kombat figures alone.

I seem to have no problems finding great female head sculpt when Im searching on eBay and AliExpress. I actually tend to end up having problems choosing which one to get. Though my options have been narrowed down lately since Im now going for the ones with movable eyes. I used to get alot of head sculpts from BBTS too, but knowing that Im very likely to end up with one that doesn’t match the skin tone on the body I’ll be using I really want to get them as cheap as possible. Having him bear chested make him look formidable. The eyes are intense too. I really can't believe these figures are growing on me. Having four hands would be very… uh… handy when doing some work some times LOL. Back when I first started collecting 1/6th scale figures there were some figures that came with extra faces with different expressions. Why they don’t do that anymore is beyond me. Some figures like Batman and other figures where only the mouth is visible they add face plates. How hard can it be to transfer that over to the whole face? Its not like it haven’t been done before. This particular figure (character) is from a race called the «shokan», and within that race there are different sub-races too. Goro is from a «dragon cast», which is represented by the spots on his skin. The character Kintaro (also shokan) is from the «tiger» sub-race, which is represented by the tiger stripes on his skin. The shokan is basicly a very savage warrior race, so they don’t tend to be very friendly in nature. In Outworld there is a constant conflict between various tribes and races. Unlike Earthrealm, where we are pretty civilized, Outworld is a harsh place ruled by the ruthless emperor Shao Kahn. There is no place for the weak there, and you’ll have to fight for your survival. This is what gives the Earthrealmer a disadvantage in the Mortal Kombat tournament. The Outworlders are used to fighting and magic skills and powers are very common amongst them. The Earthrealmers however… not so much. With the amount of money we spend on these figures I really don’t want to risk breaking anything LOL. Demonstrating the articulation on every figure from the same toyline is actually pretty useless unless a particular figure is more/less restricted in mobility than the average figure. So when you’ve seen the articulation on one, then you’ve basicly seen the articulation on all of them. Thats why I tend to skip the articulation demonstration on the 1/6th scale figures. I usually get a figure simply because I like it or because I collect a series. Im not making any money on my channel or getting sponsored by some company, so why should I get and review a figure just for the sake of a review? Other channels gets free copies sent to them for a review, which Im totally okey with. Even I have been contacted about 4-5 times by various companies and been asked to review a figure, but I’ve turned them all down. Doing reviews on the figures I)ve picked out and bought myself gives me the liberty to state my own and free opinion about the product. I’ve seen reviewers avoid talking about the bad stuff about a product, because their channel depends on getting free products to review to keep their channel going. Thats not the case with me, and it will never be either LOL.

Of course, some people break or are broken due to adversity, but some of us get stronger because of it. If you have to continue to fight to survive, you will likely have to keep developing your skills because so too are the ones you are fighting. So that represents the outworlders. The earthrealmers have eliminated chaos so it's probably a different way of surviving . . . finding meaning and so on. Maybe I'm off on that . . . @UndergroundActionFigures Thats right. Outworld in comparison to Earthrealm would kind of be like a «third world country», more or less, but with individuals with certain powers and skills. What Outworld lacks in high tech technology (which they don’t seam to have), they make up for with magical abillities. LOL! My channel started off the very same way! I never pictured myself as being a KZreadr at all. I just wanted to make a record of my collection in video format so that I had something to look back at later on case something should happen to my figures. Depending on what you are already reviewing you may at some point get contacted by some company asking you to review their product. I think the reason why I was contacted was because I reviewed some Funko Pop figures at some point and I got noticed by some companies by getting my videos in the recommended section here on KZread. There was a time where new videos that had reached a certain amount of views over a short time would automaticly end up in the said recommendation section. Get enough views, likes and shares on your videos and you might end up being contacted. These companies are always looking for someone to promote their products, so you’ll never know 😉👍

I keep saying this, but I do hate getting only one head with the same expression over and over again. It's too bad that they can't figure out how to articulate the face . . . the only thing one can do is move the eyes if the eyes are moveable. I am sure it can be done, but you would have to have quite a bit of flexibility with the face and all sorts of levers to turn. I bet it can be down with the right materials. How much it would cost? There are so many characters in Mortal Kombat and new ones seem to appear with every new game, so there is potentionally no end as far as figures goes. So far I have every character that Storm have made a figure of, with the exception of the variants. I have the regular version of basicly all of them, which is the one I want. But there are some figures that has a bloody variant, and there are a few that has a «player 2» variant, which is just a slight color variant of the regular version. There is also a few «special edition» figures that is the same as the regular, but it has a extra accessory piece that the regular version doesn’t have. I think I have two of those so far. I always get the version with the most amount of accessories, though I don’t display these figures with any accessories at all. I just like to have the option to do so. I’ve noticed that some collectors only wants their favorite characters from certain series, but I want the whole freakin’ set LOL! There are 36-38 characters (I think) from this particular Mortal Kombat game that most of these figures are from. So far we’ve gotten about half the playable game roster, and Im hoping that Storm collectibles will get the permission to continue making the rest. I would have loved to have these figure in 1/6th scale with clothes made of fabrics, but that would take up way too much space. Thats why I think that these smaller figures are better for a larger collection set. Yeah, I wish that they would figure out a way to change the face expression on the 1/6th scale figures at least. Movable eyes is a nice start though. I did get a 1/1 scale «figure» of Ada Wong from the Resident Evil 2 remake game. She is standing in my bedroom currently because I have no other place to put her LOL. You can actually pose her eyes too by gently pushing the eye in and move it with your finger. You can also open her mouth as well, but you can’t do much more than that as far as a face expression goes. I would really love it if something similar would be possible with the 1/6th scale heads. I have an app that I can make a figure head smile in various way on a picture or a video though, but thats as far as that goes. Beinh able to change the face expression on a figure makes a world of difference as far as posing them goes. It simply adds so much life to the pose. Yeah, some of the heads on these Mortal Kombat figures makes them look like they’re having a difficult time on the toilet LOL! Wish I had a 1/12th scale toilet now LOL. I have two more or less «big issues» with the 1/6th scale figures. For one, the face expressions are usually very boring. Second! Why are there so little few choises of gestures? I mean… If you want something else than the typical closed fists, trigger hands or the releaxed hands, then you have to hunt down a set of hands from another figure and cross your fingers that they’ll match the head sculpt and body you’re using. That is IF you can find a set of hand gestures that aren’t gloved! Why haven’t any companies realized yet that making custom figures is actually a huge part of this hobby. We have finally gotten head sculpts with movable eyes from some companies, so there is that. But a company like TBLeague, for example, that actually manufacture what I consider to be the absolute best 1/6th scale bodies on the market in various shaoes and skin tones (now even in black), why don’t they start making head sculpts? i8 Toys makes some really great female head sculpts with movable eyes. The way they make their head sculpts is what TBLeague should do it. Further more! TBLeague, which makes seamless bodies, should think about how to make a head sculpt with both movable eyes AND mouth. Then there is the hands. I want sets how hands with various gestures other than gun, knife/staff holding hands, closed fists and releaxed hands, and I want them in skin tones that will match the skin tones on the freakin’ bodies! Why are these things so hard for these companies to understand? I think that TBLeague have like 50+ different seamless body models on the market now. 99 percent of those are either pale, tan or suntan. Start manufactoring heads and hands to go with all these bodies, thats what Im saying LOL!

    A lot of people seem to think the same. However. Storm haven’t actually «lost» the license. From what I’ve read online the license for any MK merch has been put on pause untill Discovery/WB can get things in order after Discovery bought WB. The last I read about that is that they’ve figured things out, thus Storm might get the green light to continue the production of the figures again soon. I also heard that someone from Storm have confirmed that the MK license has only been put on hold untill Discovery and WB could sort out the businees between them. Things like this is only natural when a company gets new owners. So far neither Discovery, WB or Storm Collectibles have said anything about the MK license being lost. The MK license is a pretty hot one to have, and the figures are flying off the shelves. It would be stupid of Discovery/WB to denie anyone to make the MK figures. As far as Im conserned nothing have been officially stated one way or the other, so I’ll be waiting to see where this is going.

    I got a figure that kind of reminds me of Assassin Creed figures. I'll show it in the next week or so. I love the hoods on these guys. It gives them a super cool look . . . mysterious and awesome. I like that they have tons of accessories too. Sometimes you don't want to remove plastic too because it may stain. Again, I don't get why they put plastic there unless they are afraid of it staining. This guy's outfit is fantastic, and no matter how you pose these guys . . . they look great. THANKS for the inspiration with these figures. That's why I got the figure I'll be showing eventually . . . again, it reminded me of these game figures. 🙂

    Looking forward to seeing that figure! Yeah, these hoods are awesome. I especially like the «beak» on the front of these hoods. It makes them look really awesome. Sometimes they put this plastic on just to make the product «look» professionally packed, but it kind of scares me a little knowing that it is also to protect the figure from getting stained. Its almost like they know that there is a staining issue but they leave it up to you to make the «mistake» of removing the plastic LOL. I mean… Why would you keep that plastic on such a beautiful figure on your display? So if the risk of staining the figure is there and they know about it, why don’t they just do something to remove that risk? We do pay alot of money for these figures afterall, so it is only natural that we want to display the figure as it was intended. I’ve seen people use those «lady stalkings» that match the skin tone on the figure just to «replace» the plastic. The plastic is very noticeable on display, but those stalkings kind of blends in and it protects the body from getting stained.

    I definitely let your videos play through even if I have watched them already once. One time a body maker swore they sold me suntan and they were pale despite what it said on the package. It was called JIAOU. I'll never get their bodies again. Regarding stands, that's a constant problem--running out of them. I want to experiment with putting a group of figures on one wooden stand with making inserts for the crotch stands. That way I hope to save space and have them look more interactive too. I hope I can do that over the summer!!! You have a great day today . . . I really appreciate your ideas all of the time!!! 🙂

    Thank you 😅 I have two Jiaou bodies in my «collection» and they are a nice and more affordable alternative to the TBLeague bodies. They also have more skin one variations than TBLeague, and they come with a much better stand. What I absolutely hate about the Jiaou bodies is that they are missing the range of articulation in the wrist that TBLeague has. It is a pain in the butt to get the correct shade of skin tone with the Jiaou bodies. You almost have to get the body you think might match the head you want to use it for, as well as both the slightly darker and lighter bodies, because it is hard to hit the spot on the first purchase. Luckily I had a friend that has a few of the Jiaou bodies that could tell me which body I should get. So I got the «JOQ-19B Wheat» and the «JOQ-19B New Wheat» bodies, which are as close to the TBLeague «tan» as you can get. I thought it would be a obvious difference between the «wheat» and the «new wheat», but it is like looking at two drops of water. Once you»ve forgotten which one is which, then you are screwed LOL. So I’ve put a note under each of the stands to keep track on which on is which, and I have two different sets of head sculpts and clothes on them to tell them apart. Im actually working on a «multi-stand» right now that will fit in a Ikea detolf. With the normal stands I use I can fit a maximum of 6 figures on one shelf. With the «multi-stand» Im working on I will be able to fit up to 12 figures on one shelf. The «multi-stand» currently has room for 8 figures, and there will be room for one more row of figures infront of it. If a figure isn’t posed in a very dynamic pose with a bunch of accessories and having the arms/legs sticking out in every direction, then it won’t require all that much space. The oval shape of the regular stands take up way too much space, in my opinion. And if you have a figure standing straight up and down, with no particular pose, then it will require even less space. The average 1/6th scale figure is between two and three inches wide from shoulder to shoulder, and about two inches from chest to back. You basicly only need a three by two inch space for one figure on display, if you don’t pose it. You can still be creative and pose a figure some within that space. In my collection room I give my figures a bit more space to «breathe» in the detolfs because I want to see the figures when I go in there. But in my bedroom where I keep most of my custom TBLeague figures I don’t need all that space. Its not like Im going to have people in there to look at those figures anyway, so the detolf is mostly to protect the figures from dust. Those figures don’t need the «display space», because I can just take a figure out when Im using it for photography or what ever. So the Ikea detolf that would usually fit a maximum of 24 figures now has potentional for up to 48 figures. THATS a massive compression of display space. The only problem is that each shelf is designed to only hold a certain amount of weight, which I have to be careful about so that I don’t overload the detolf LOL.

    @@Eseres80 The ones I got (JIAOU bodies) didn't have stands neither does the TBLeague ones I get. 🙂I need to do what you do . . . write down what body is being used. I wish they could label the bodies "on" the bodies, but maybe aesthetically that won't work. I think they could find one spot where it wouldn't matter and make the marking inconspicuous. It would be convenient for us if they could do that though. If they could tell us with 100% consistency what color a head is and use the same words like "suntan" . . . that would help too. I guess you aren't the only one thinking of doing a multiple body stand. Great minds think alike!!! I don't like the oval stands, but sometimes the stands a figure comes with are too flashy for me. I keep thinking there is a better way to do this, but you're right about the weight. You can't overdo it either. A multiple figure stand has to be practical, good looking, and ideally produce an interactive scene in the end. I just want to test this out with some figures that belong together. One thing is for sure . . . space is an issue with 1/6 scale figures and the oval stands are not the answer. If you have a heavy figure, the crotch stands are a pain. The wrap around stands work for heavy figures, but they suck in terms of aesthetics. I need to think this through some more, but it's something I've been thinking about for some time now. Having time to work on it is the big issue!!! Have a great one Svein!!! 🙂

    @@UndergroundActionFigures There was a time when the TBLeague bodies used to come with a stand, but I think that was mostly when the body came with a head, but I haven’t seen that in a while either. Maybe the older Jioau bodies didn’t come with a stand, I don’t know. The two I have did anyway. They are of those with a flexible rod and a square base. I wish it was possible to get those stands by themself without a figure, because they are far better than the oval ones in my opinion. Yeah, when you start having quite a few of these bodies then it is smart to keep track on them. I usually just buy the TBLeague bodies without the head because they are cheaper, but sometimes I get the bodies that comes with a head and those I tend to display as is. No adding clothes or anything. And when I buy those I try to make sure that it isn’t a body type with the same skin tone as one that I already have. These are «referance bodies» for me, so that I can just take a head sculpt and hold it up against one of these bodies to find out which body to get for the head LOL! I call the my «bikini girls», because thats the only thing they wear. I also give these figures names too, and I write that down on a list I have with their model number next to it. Then I take the extra parts that came with the body and put them in a bag with a note that says which body they belong to. I did end up with a small box with a bunch of bags though, that is just sitting on a shelf. I have a few TBLeague bodies that I mentioned (my bikini girls) that I want to use this multi-stand for. These figures basicly just stand there in some sort of fashion/modeling pose anyway, so they don’t take up much space at all. Their stand however, they make these figures take up way too much space, so I thought they would be nice test subjects for my multi-stand project. If it works out as intended it will give me a bunch of stands to use for other figures instead. I have had alot of ideas on various stands over the years. All you basicly need is the rod, or you can use some sort of pipe and make your own grabbers using a thicker bendy wire. What I’ve been thinking is that if you have a few of those standard stand rods, then all you really need is to make a solid shelf (or buy a cheap one). The plug that goes into the base is 7 by 14 milimeters (no clue whatbthat is in inches). Then you measure up what ever space you want for each figure on the shelf and you start making holes with said measures. I chose to put mine at a 45 degree angle because thats how I like to pose my figures. If my multi-stand idea actually works out, then Im thinking about getting a bookcase with adjustable shelfs and paint it black. I’ll rip the shelfs out and make the holes and add the rods. The rods will blend in with the bookcase and you’ll barely notice them. Further more. The back wall in a bookcase is perfect for potentional diorama ideas too! Its all just a matter of being creative 👍

    @@Eseres80 I like that idea keeping track of the bodies AND the hands/feet. I didn't even think about doing that with the hands/feet, but it makes perfect sense now. The same would be helpful for foot pegs, wrist connectors, and neck attachments. Better yet if toy makers would just get on the same sheet of music and make universal pieces, we would be in heaven. Sigh. The stands have always been an issue. I remember WAY back when they had transparent plastic foot stands (two of them) that went on each foot. That was your stand. LOL I should have kept one set just to remember what we started with years ago. On the one stand I have for Henry Cavill, I had my husband make a hole in the wood and then I epoxied the crotch stand into the wood, but if one can use something else, I am sure it will be cheaper in the end too and probably look better. So you can have two outcomes--save money and get more display space. Now that I think about it, I don't know why toy makers don't make a group stand for certain figures. That would actually entice people to get the entire set. For example, for the Justice League figures (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg), a terrain group stand would be absolutely awesome especially if it mimicked a scene in the movie. Sometimes I think there are game changers. I am thinking I really need to settle in and think about a group stand where the figures won't fall down. I need to think about how to secure them in aesthetic ways. It needs to hold the figure, but it can't be so visible it overshadows the figure. We have gotten so used to stands we tend not to see them anymore, but I wish toy makers would put powerful magnets into the back of a figure so you could place it AGAINST a magnetic standing rod of some shape. The problem is building a stand that accommodates all poses. I can't visualize a stand that can do that yet . . . there are always pros and cons. The crotch stands are great if the clothing covers the U shaped stand. Sometimes a figure may fall off it though when moving it. The C stand is more secure, but it is very visible around clothes unless it can fit around the body underneath the clothes. Right now there is no perfect stand and perhaps there never will be one. It's just a challenge to think about it for now. 🙂

    @@UndergroundActionFigures I hated not finding parts that matched the body so much that I just had to make a system for everything. Neck attachments I just keep all in one box. Its not like its going to be visible anyway. Parts that have different shades of skin tones, like hands, feet and neck parts needs to be put in a system though. This is also a reason why I like the TBLeague bodies so much. It is less parts to worry about. Keep track on the hands and feet and everything is fine. I have seen some stands for certain Star Wars figures that have had a extra piece that you could add to the stand that gave it sort of a «diorama» -look to it. That is something certain companies should look more into. That way you can choose how you want to display your figure. Further more. If such an idea was taken one step further, then you could get several figures in one series and just hook the stands to each other to create a bigger diorama stand. I would rather pay the extra money for something like that than paying for a bunch of extra accessory pieces that I will leave in the box anyway. I have a figure where they used that magnet on a flexible rod idea. The Jeerer figure I have. Tye magnet doesn’t quite work as intended though. It is more like a support than actually holding the figure. There is a company called «InArts» that have been putting magnets in the feet on figures so that you can just place it on the base. No rod or grabber or anything. But as clever as that idea is, I can see a flaw with it. Even if the foot pegs are strong when you get the figure, over time they will weaken and you’ll have a faceplant on your shelf. Depending on how expensive the figure was, you might have a broken flower pot in the corner of the room, or a grandchild that has suddenly learned its first curse word too. Who knows?

    Thank you! I had four bodies available when I decided to make the video for this set and none of the other three would work for this head sculpt at all. Heck if I was going to wait over a month for a more suitable body, so I snatched the one I was already working on for another custom figure LOL! It was just standing there with just a head on it and the outfit Im making is going nowhere very fast, as its too hot for sewing these days. Now I need to order at least one more S22A body and a couple of others too. Not to mention a crapload of more stands! Yeah, I have no clue to how they intended for that buckle to work. Im thinking two things. Either they miscalculated the bulk of the fabrics on the half ment going through the buckle, or Im missing a piece on my copy of this set. A hook or velcro or something. I still made it work thought. I tried my best at pulling the silicone on the legs down as much as I could to close in that gap, but in the end the feet points too much downward anyway. I think the heels on the shoes are too tall for this kind of bodies. The promo pictures shows the set on a body with visible joints, and you know me. Im not going for those bodies if I don’t freakin’ have to LOL! That head dress piece was okey enough to get on if it wasn’t for the fact that half the hair had to go through it too. It was such a pain to keep track on the hair and get the head through at the same time, because stupid me forgot to take the neck connector off the body and put it in the head. Said neck connector piece is the only thing actually holding the head together, which kept falling apart half way through the proccess several times LOL! Neither God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit like all that much me that day, Im telling you that much LOL. That «man downstairs» probably had a good laugh and threw more coal on the fire though, so I guess I’ll find that out the day I leave this world LOL. In the end I did end up with a very sexy nun in my collection. I even might go to church next sunday because of this, if I don’t have anything better to do that day. Heck! Who am I kidding. Like anyone would ever see me in a church LOL! That would be the day, wouldn’t it? They would have to catch me dead for that to happen. They could try to drag me in one alive though, but I’d might spontaneous combust and scare the big Jesus out of everyone LOL! You have a great day too, my friend 😊

    The S22A pale body is too muscular for a Nun. That type of body is for a Wonder Woman, Supergirl or some sort of military or warrior female. You got it all wrong my friend. I would have used the S10D or the S07C. Nuns do not look athletic like that. It took 2 hours to attempt to fasten that crotch buckle? 🤯 That is too long of frustration. 😨

  • @Eseres80
    @Eseres802 ай бұрын

    When looking at this figure in this nun outfit it is the muscular body you have a problem with? LOL! Because real nuns wear these kind of outfits, yes? Further more. A nun isn’t born a nun, so it is quite possible that a former bodybuilder would become a nun. I would have used another body if I had a suitable one laying around ready for use, but it just so happened that I only had this S22A pale body, two S12D suntan bodies and a S43B african dark skinned body. You tell me if any of those other bodies is a better option LOL. Yeah, that crotch buckle is way too tiny for the other half to pass through. I swear to all and any Gods known to man that I gave it every bit of my best effort to make it happen, but at some point I just had to give up because I was using tools and waaaay too much force to try to make it happen. I was just too scared that I would risk breaking something. I highly suspect that I might be missing a tiny piece on that other half that is ment to hook onto the buckle. I have looked very closely at the whole thing and I went through the bags a second time just to make sure. There are no lose parts in any of the bags, so if there was another piece that had fallen off, then its not there. If the other half is ment to go through the buckle as is, then I don’t know how i8 Toys figured that was going to happen. There is pure and simply way too much fabrics bulked up and stitched together for that to happen. I looked for absolutely every and any solution before I stitched it up myself. There was no other way for it to work. No hooks, velcro, buttons or anything. Other than that insanely tiny buckle and that huge piece of bulked up fabrics on the other half to work with. Again, either it was intended for the other half to go through the buckle, but the manufacturer didn’t account for the buckle being too small for the other half, OR Im simply missing a piece that hooks onto the buckle. Anyway! I did make it work though. I only used enough stitches for it to hold, and I didn’t sew it in a way that it can’t easily be removed later if I figure out how it is actually intended to work. The white thread is barely visible when looking at it, and the black part of the outfit covers it up. Im quite happy with how the figure turned out in the end. The only thing that sort of pisses me off with this set, is how that head piece is attached. It was a pain in the ass to get on, so Hell will freeze over many times before I remove that, I’ll tell you that much LOL! That is a shame really, because the head has posable eyes which I now can’t get access to without removing the head piece. Thank God I really made sure that the eyes are straight before I put that head piece on, because discovering that the eyes are crooked at this point would trigger my OCD and piss me off greatly LOL!

    Regarding your reply below, I do get real frustrated with bodies that aren't right like bodies that have no musculature to the arms. The top of the arm and the bottom of the arm are almost the same circumference or it's like a sleeve and looks awful. I have had a few Super Ducks and I appreciate the savings in terms of cost. You can pick out the body then. The only thing I hate about TBLeague bodies is that the hand colors are different from the bodies. Have you noticed that? They are a shade off . . . just enough to notice. So if I really want it to look good I have to paint the hands. I hate that part immensely. It's like no one can make a perfect body. I hate it, hate it, hate it. I don't know why it has to be this hard. LOL 🙂I do like this head sculpt though tons!!!

  • @Eseres80
    @Eseres802 ай бұрын

    Some of the bodies seem to be intended to be fully clothed, I guess. You can tell by the way the joints are designed and/or the lack of muscle sculpt and paint. I have seen some of the TBLeague bodies having what looks to be a different shade of color between the hands and the body, and I actually thought it really was a difference in the paint too but appearantly it isn’t. I had a friends look at a body that I was sure that the color on the hands and body was different, and he is a artist painter and have most exellent eye for paint. What he told me blew my mind! Its not actually a difference in the shade of paint at all, and he showed me why. He took of the hand on one of my TBLeague bodies and compared it to the head first. They were exactly the same, as expected. Then he showed me the head and body and said that «you can’t see a difference here, right?», which I couldn’t. The body and head matched perfectly. Now! How can the head match the body, the head match the hands, but the hands not match the body you might ask. Well! Here is the reason that my friend explained to me. There isn’t a difference in the shade of paint between the head and the body because it is «harder to tell» due to how the head is shaped and how the light hits the head and the body. The hands while attached to the body «lines up» alot better so that the boarder between the hands and the body is more even, thus the light hitting the hand and the body more or less the same way. What makes it «look» like there is a difference in the shade of paint is actually the material they’re made of. The hands and head are made of a harder plastic and they are more glossy than the body, which is made of silicone and is also covered by some sort of powder to make it not feel so sticky. The silicone body reflects the light differently than the head and hands. Or actually, the silicone body absorbs more light than what the hands and head does. This gives the illusion of the hands and head being in a different shade of color. Then he brought the body under a lamp and said «watch this». He held the body under the light and pointed at the hands and said «here you can really tell the difference in the shade. Even between the body and the head too», as he adjusted the angle of the head so that the surface of the head lied more flat with the neck. And sure as he said it, I could really tell the difference. Then he moved the body away from the lamp so that no direct light hit the body, and the difference in the shade got less visible. What he proved to me was that the two different materials and how they reacted to the light was what gave the illusion of the difference in the shade of the paint. He also said that depending on the color itself, the difference can be more appearant some times. It would be damn near impossible to make the paint on the silicone body look like it match the hands and head 100% perfectly. Its just the nature of the materials and the light that hits it. The only way to make the shade of paint between the body and the hands less «visible» is to «add space» between the two parts. A wristband, watch or something would break the illusion of the shades being different. What the manufactorer could do is to make the hands and head of a material that has a more matching density. That would take care of the «problem» with the light being reflected differently by the two materials. Even painting the head and hands with a less glossy paint would help to reflect the light more evenly.
