Many thanks for the information. I have a kriegsmarine soldbuch, belonging to a young lad who was in the u boats. Plus an extra photo of the chap on the u boat. Someone had done research and wrote he was transferred into the army at the near end of war. There is a red cross ❌️ on the front, i believe that means he died in action ? Any other information would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Mark

No problem at all. No red cross on the cover can also mean the Soldbuch was cancelled (and receive then a new one). Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for your answer! G Shocks are durable watches with a lot of useful functions. You can match a G shock with any type of clothing. Another advantage of this watches is the battery life. My G shock is a GD-100-1B with a 7 year battery life. A Riseman battery lasts 11-12 year, isn't it?

Hello all, I tried to give a very good general overview of Ciney Militaria. Instead of only showing Third Reich militaria, there's many other people collecting other material so we (me, wife, son) tried to give a very fair view on what you can expect on average when you'll come to Ciney. We tried also to film as less faces as possible (so should it sometimes move fast), as not everyone likes it. Like, share & subscribe to help me out.

Another very interesting video. I know very little about Japanese awards. I have to agree though, that they are beautiful and the hand crafted boxes. Am I the only one that found it strange that the only difference is located on the back and even at that it's not very big. So why bother having two different awards, if no one can tell the difference , unless of course you take it off. Are all of the award documents handwritten or is some of it printed and the recipient's name and details are inserted? It looks totally handwritten.
@WolfgangHistorica9 ай бұрын
The Japanese generally didn't care about medals. The greatest honor was to die for the Emperor, no need to earn a medal for it. It was more "expected" that you didn't return home from the battlefield. Hence nail clips, hairs etc. were taken before a loved one left, so they had something to bury. You'll also see on many photographs that many soldiers never wore their awards on their uniform. Award documents are hand written. If the Japanese do something, it is with a lot of effort and care.
