Thanks for stopping by I've been riding motorcycles for about 20 years. I started off with drag racing sport bikes and have recently crossed over to a Harley Davidson. This channel was created to document and share what I have learned and what I'm still learning as a new Harley owner. I hope you have as much joy watching my videos as much as I do making them. Thanks for watching.

Got my first ever Harley back in Sept 2023, I went and test rode a 23 107 and 24. I didn't care for the new one and when I asked about trade in numbers, my 2015 RG lost 7k in value which is insane. Dealer told me to pay down by 10k which won't happen. Honestly my 103 is good enough for me, it's a cruiser after all and not a rice rocket. No I wish had waited for the trade ins flooding the floor this spring and could've got a 22-23. Putting electronics on a bike is a bad idea because of the elements we tend to ride in. Plus electronics fail more than mechanical (My IT brain kicking lol), and then the audio is a disappointment as well.
Very good advice, I'm thinking about riding again, cruiser this time. Thanks again, be blessed and be safe brother.
Shit I had death wobble in my dodge truck let alone a motorcycle thing that was scary I was on a back road in the mountains on a winding road and had a semi coming at me that was hair raising.
What options do we have with the 107. Are the 107&114 engine cases the same size?
Crank is different but the next step on the 107 is the 124kit
Good video man
Bike sounds amazing. I'm leaning toward the Thunderheader because I love the sound. I just wish they offered a stainless option. What cam are you running?
Noticed a sport bike rider with a wobble on the video. Looks like he took both hands off the bars and it corrected?
Tip for backing up: put your front brake on, push down forward on your bars and release the brake when you pull back on the bars, then back on the front brake so you don’t roll forward, push down forward again and release when you pull back on the bars again, and repeat as necessary. You’re using your suspension and the front brake to rock your bike backwards into a roll. I’m a tippy toe rider so that’s how i back it up without getting off the bike or asking someone to push me 😂
What size cam did you do for stage two
Fork leaks, uneven fork pressure and weight transfer. I'd have to move back onto passenger seat to get it evened out at high speed and back brake.
All situations are different with all kinds of variables. A good rider is a trained and educated rider.
Did you lower your front end an 1" or 2 to get that look. If so what did you go with. Bike looks good, thank you in advance.
I was in a death wobble and when it happened I let of throttle and pulled in the clutch and let it straighten itself out
Dmv handbook states what to do so you must know to take the test
I see your point but im used to my zx14 can’t wait for a day off to get my rk sweet green bike man
Around what time price range for a set up like this
Tire balance will do it too. If you put new tires on have them properly balanced. If you're bike is prone to headshake consider a steering damper. Revzilla has them ;)
Great video I’m changing mine today I have 2014 street glide with 19000 miles on it I do all my work on my bike I got the filter at local H D. shop I bought bike from relative he said he’s never changed it I NEVER use E 85 gas only 93 to 95 octane I’m in Iowa you can’t get much more octane than that I heard E 85 isn’t good for your bike.
@rockodomingo7518 your bike has to be built for it you can not pour it in and go ride
@@officialmac thanks for the info
@@officialmac I got my filter changed it was brown and dirty thanks for the video it took me 15 minutes bike fired right up!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘
Did he have a road glide 3
Wobbles ain't fun last one I had was from road construction hitting a lane switch in it just maintained speed and powered through it.
Buy a propper motorcycle
Ur rollin a 3/4 helmet with the sheild up dude of course shits getting in and the wind is whistling lol.. what did you think was gonna happen riding like that on a bike with no shield gettin beaten up.. you are wearing a t shirt only.. no jacket of anykind.. i get it florida is hot but again durrr what did you think would happen.. check out skull riderz they have a great mesh jacket with sas tec armor it'll run you bout 250 with the sas tec and ull stay pretty cool and get beat a lil less...and it comes in a good selection of colors Also god forbid the bike looks like its ridden lol Got a 21 rks with the wind splitter did 360 mi with no problems.. but facts though w/o it I can only do bout 25 or 30 mi at 65-70mph before having to take a break.. but you want a core/arms workout w/o hitting the gym.. that'll damn sure do it 💪 But regardless rubber side down, stay safe and ride on bud 🤘
The message was get wind splitter windshield bud guess you missed that part! This is my daily rider bike I like to ride it more than my roadglide
I love this!!!! I need this set up on my bike but my problem is I listen to ALL types of music
Dude, your info is in correct, and the tank slapper is whats bad, and you need to let the bike correct itself, have zero preassure on your grips, period, And most importantly, stay off a piece of crap harley,,, all show no go. Junk.. And 70 mph shake is a wheel balance issue, and i run 42psi on rear 36 on front. Yup..
@@yodo6414 😂😂
Hauling a misaligned camper or big boat trailer can start a speed wobble like that. 2 object's mass hinged in the middle. It'll often flip the vehicle and all when it goes over.
One way is to buy a Jeep 😂
hey mac, i have the same air filter, mine gets dirty Easly in the front from road i guess, does yours? im thinking about just keeping the rain cover on it. what ya think?
@jamescaudle1684 no mine does not but they can be cleaned
Bad ass bike.
Exhaust looks like my sawicki speed.
Downshift and twist it and let off
Don't buy a BMW. That is BEST WAY to avoid the wobble !!
What did it coast for the 143 complete set up
Saying the fastest Harleys is like saying the driest water.
Balance the tires/wheels (with good tires with out flat spots), blueprint all of your steering/suspension parts, and buy a quality adjustable steering stabilizer, before you do anything high speed. High speed wobble is a resonance of the items in use and the frequency your bike will resonate(wobble), will be the sum of all the parts involved. If your road condition hits that resonance, due to your bikes likely grouped issues, a wobble ensues, and the things that bring you out of that wobble, are things that starve that resonance from continuing (changing speeds, faster or slower, though I would recommend not feeding it speed if the wobble happens @ speeds in excess of 100 mph, where most occur, but that’s between you and your wobbling bike), or having a bike set up correctly for excessive speeds. Stuff like this is usually related to specific maintenance or the lacking of it. So get off KZread, and fix your damn bike, or have someone competent do so. If you ever have a wobble, and don’t crash, slow down and park that bike, and correct everything, that means pull stuff apart, and find the things that are contributing, (anything that spins or moves, and tighten/secure everything that’s not supposed to, to factory specs, regardless of how old or new. Ps. Use quality parts, as cheap poorly engineered crap has consequences. I Ride sport liter bikes and have never experienced an out of my control and terrifying wobble, but I maintain my bikes, or don’t ride them fast.
I don’t ride 1000lbs bikes, but I’m real sure the same advice holds true. Heavy bikes will oscillate more violently, and at speed I would presume they are very hard to control. I’m sure there are bikes with designs that are more susceptible to wobble/tank slapping. Do your own research on your own bike model, and if your particular model has even a few people talking wobble, research fixes, and causes. Again if your bike ever even starts to wobble, park it until you’ve eliminated everything that could have contributed. Remember it’s your life, and dead man can’t sue! I would also think hard about listening to those who say it’s because of this or that, and think you are good. Be proactive with maintenance, spend money on things that will keep you from being one of those guys with your own death wobble story. Again I drive sport bikes, which are lighter and more nimble, and made for executing at high speeds, and bigger bikes are usually always about comfort, and control, so perhaps cruising at cruising speeds is what those who drive these machines should be doing. But whatever….you be you….and be safe doing so!
I had two lLOW speed wobbles on my 1988 Goldwing the same day...I learned that you should not take BOTH hands off the handlebars at the same time...
The old KZ1000 was NOTORIOUS for "Tank Slappers" or "Death Wobbles" (Wasnt called that back then) Also the 750 TUrbo would behave like that too. The ONLY solution was to Power up and get that front tire off the ground (Wheelie). Seemed counterintuitive, but if you grabbed the front brake or slowed down, you were almost GUARANTEED to dump it... My Harley had a problem with crappy head bearings, but I think that is less common. The Harleys also suffer from crappy swingarm setup. Glide Pro has a solution to keep the bike from doing the hootchie in corners. Thanks for the video.
I cannot believe you are running E85!😢
Why?
Talk about oil cooler.
Soon!
I had the same at 143 mph. . On a 750 kawasaki. . Got out of it safely. .
What handlebar it's perfect for a 5.1 tall person on a road king 2006 ?
I had the chrome version of your bike. With a 131 stage IV. Love that color. I miss that bike.
Motor officers (the video clip toward the end) train extensively for managing speed wobble.
like both bikes i got road glide brother has road king both have 131 engines like your channel content
Bro just run ethanol free
I've never experienced a death wobble because all my bikes were dirt bikes. If I go out riding, my preference is hitting the roads on my Cannondale.
You need rocker lockers
What you think about how to handle something like a Burgman 650 Maxi scooter, very heavy scooter about 600 lbs? It is very heavy on the front
What causes it
Hp don't really mean shit, with a touring bike, it Torque, that counts. The motor is either a 131 or 135
🤣🤣
I hit a raised manhole cover on my 09 Ultra; the frame bottomed out on the steel lid and I lost all stability. Bike wobbled 100% left to 100% right, on the third swing it threw me on the street and I slid a good long ways. Messed up my hip that bothers me to this day.
