*UPDATE 1* I just noticed that the drone DJI returned to me has a completely different serial number. Did they actually send me a completely new drone?!?! *UPDATE 2* DJI Customer Service called me 2 days after I received the new drone just to see if I've had a chance to use the new drone and to check if everything is working properly. That's some good attentive customer service! *UPDATE 3* I flew the new drone for the first time but it has a "Backward Vision Sensor Error". Basically, the drone thinks that something is constantly behind it so it won't fly backward. Looks like this one is going back to DJI for another repair. *UPDATE 4* 7/19/24 - 2nd Drone Arrived Back to DJI 7/22/24 - DJI marked my case as "Received by DJI Service Center" 7/23/24 - DJI inspected and sent me a quote for the service. They want me to either pay $2 for a repair or $65 for a DJI Care Refresh replacement. This makes no sense since DJI sent me a faulty drone. I've contacted customer support and they will have to escalate this situation to another department. 7/23/24 - DJI sent me an email saying they'll fix the drone for free. I'd rather just have a replacement considering the drone was already defective when new, but it is what it is.

Thanks for the analysis and discussion about variations in materials. I bought and tried it. The grill I used it on has stainless steel, round grates. On the first cleaning, I went over it twice, just to make sure it was really clean. Since that first time, I clean the grates immediately after cooking, rather than waiting until the next time I want to use it. I've been grilling, barbecuing and smoking on outdoor equipment for about 50 years. In my opinion, and this is strictly based on the cleaning of stainless steel on gas and lump charcoal systems, this product is the best I've seen at this price point.

Damn nightmare scenario bro. I’ve only had an issue with one company, bought an FN FiveSeven that would chew up the magazine release notches on the polymer mags. Within 1 week all 3 supplied mags wouldn’t lock in the pistol. The process of getting it in for repairs was a breeze, but they sent it back with the same issue. All 3 new mags got tore up pretty quickly. Sent it in again, and came back just the same. I ended up selling it to a friend at a loss but he never got it running. My guess is the frame was warped or something.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with Dead Air. I am looking to buy my 4th can, and was looking at the Wolfman. I found this video, and when I continued to research it, I actually found numerous other reviews, all with the same message. (Their products are hit-or-miss on form/function, and if you happen to get a unit with issues, you are in for a world of delays and poor service) The consistent part of all videos is their lack of contact with their customers. As NFA item buyers, we are used to playing the waiting game, but a couple of simple 2-minute emails to keep the customer updated on the progress of their status would circumvent the majority of bad review issues this company is having currently. For the reasons you pointed out, I have opted to not purchase any Dead Air product, unless/until the company can undergo a change in culture. I am now looking at a Bowers Vers 30 as an alternative can. - I do not personally know anyone that has one, to get their opinion on it, but I can tell you I emailed the company once with a question, and the owner exchanged about 3 emails with me over a 2 day period. I could tell he had a great amount of passion for his products, and he was very quick and helpful. This tends to be a step-up as someone is in the research phase for a reliable product. The one can I really want to try is the CGS Hyperion, but like all good cans, there are none to be found available - I called CGS, and they said if I placed an order now, it would be about 3 months before they would have a serial number to ship one to my dealer. I am glad for their financial success from them having the backlog of orders, but for the customers, it sucks! 😂

Maybe I can shed a little light on this situation. I'm not making excuses for DA nor am I saying this kind of thing is acceptable. I'm not even saying this is the exact reason for their poor CS. But I happen to work for a firearms related manufacturer who despite being relatively well known has (up until the beginning of this year) had the same customer service issues you're describing. The damage was done by C19 and we never fully recovered. We even now are struggling to find people to fill openings. They either bail before their first shift starts or they ghost the interview all together. And if they do actually take the job, they end up getting fired for not doing their job. I'm one of the CNC machinists at the company and I'm quite frequently running 5 machines (or more) plus doing quality control, machine maintenance, and both de-burring and sand blasting of freshly made parts. The only positive thing in this situation is my overtime has been through the roof. As a result of being short staffed, our customer service was extremely lacking, and we often had the issues you were describing in this video. Not because we didn't care but because we had to split customer service up among our shop or assembly managers, who already have their hands full with their primary duties. Again I'm not making excuses for Dead Air, but assuming their customer service was good prior to c19, I can see a possible reason why it's struggling now.

If you’ve already used the grill, there really isn’t any going back. But if you haven’t, you can always repeat everything if you’re really concerned. Also, you somewhat burn in every time you turn the grill on. The higher temps is just more effective.
