Hey you! I'm Olof, a mountain biker that get to develop my interest in MTBs and eMTBs through this channel.
I am lucky enough to test some of the hottest bikes on the market and I ride pretty much anything that I can get my hands on with great interest.
My background is from XC riding in Spain where I lived for a few years. Now I am leaning more into enduro type of riding, but I still enjoy all aspects of mountain biking. I live in Sweden btw, but I miss Spain every day!

I've seen a lot of good mtb, but I especially like this one
Thanks for a great review!
Warning to Specialized. This is the only video i found where Vado 3.0 is on review, all other videos do review for older model , not the version of 2023 Vado 3.0. Thank you!
Just picked up a Roscoe 9 on sale and they stacked my military discount on top of the sale so I only paid $1799 for it which is a steal considering the spec 😊
Well done 👏
Just ordred the turbo levo in alloy. I may upgrade later down the lime to the top end one but i am looking forward to it. Be the first full sus bike ive rode and owned and first e bike too
i would not buy and wait for the same bike but with BELT DRIVE, then its my!
Det är är grön inte blå
Gröna skyltar, blå på ledkartan. Men visst, håller med om att den är grön.
I bought Terro x 4.0 We don't have 5.0 and 6.0 for sale with my height. One thing that confuses me is that there may not be enough torque. My weight is 110 kg
I could easily climb that slalom hill with the 5.0. Just shift to a lower gear if you struggle. I think you’ll be fine.
@@MTBs Thank you! The bike should be delivered to me in the next few days. I paid and am waiting for it to be set up and delivered
would you pick bc26r or lumintop b01?
Sorry, I don't know anything about the lumintop.
hi, i am thinking of buying these, my current tyres are 27.5X2.1, would 27.5X2.25 fit the wheels? The difference is these are slightly wider
Depends on the width of the wheels, but in general - yes, they will fit. It’s a tiny difference.
Wonderful to see you on a real bike (not a motorbike). 😜 looks awsome. Almost as good as my home bult xc. 😉
But, imagine this bike WITH a motor! 😜
@@MTBs haha! Would do great in a e-bike “race”. 😉
You are undecided if you should go with the Roscoe 7 or 8 bc of the 35 mm fork? So the 7 has a better fork? What is wrong with the 35 mm fork? I'm asking bc I'm completely ignorant on this subject. I missed the Specialized bike sale when they sold the Fuse Comp for 1.5k
Basically because of the fork which is the most important thing on a bike imo. The Recon is only 32 mm which I think will be too flexy on a bike of this caliber. It's a XC fork. Depends on where you intend to ride of course. I also favor Deore over NX and half a kilo of lower weight on the 8.
test out a mondraker crafty xr, pretty much the same bike with the orbea but with better suspension kinematics and waaay cheaper (also find second hand ones)
Would love to test a Crafty but I have no relation with Mondraker unfortunately.
@@MTBs brand image is kind of weak atm but the ebikes they put out are just fire. keep up the good work!
what website is used for comparison under "similarities" ?
Do you mean the overlays? That was done in the video editor, so no website.
Orbea’s paint is the worst. I hear their warranties aren’t great either.. To be fair they do ride very well!
Nice video grab my 6 liter cleaner at a store in usa
It needs a tad larger propellers. Its too noisy with those tiny propellers it comes with.
It is a bit noisy, but I actually prefer that - to be able to hear that it still follows me when i bike. So in this case it's a positive.
Just ordered a 2023 Roscoe 8 for $2000 Canadian USD$1460, 1355 Euro. Awesome deal and can't wait to get it next week.
Indeed an awesome deal!
How did you get it so cheap?
@@Jose-sy1je It's on sale on their website. New model probably coming soon.
The Information about the Speed was very helpful. I thought about using it with my motorcycle, baut this would Not habe worked out! So thanks for that!! ✌️
How is the latch
Sorry, I have no input there.
What about Tero X? Can it be a cheaper alternative for less demanding trails?
Sure, but it's not in the same league as these bikes in the video. The Tero X is more of an adventure bike for relaxed rides on forrest roads in my opinion.
Roscoe 8 on sale for $1,599 and Roscoe 9 is $1,999 dollars.
Yep, the prices have come down a bit. The bikes are not overpriced anymore imo.
Good show.
right on - not spending $25 on a mud guard !
Great.
i can't decide if it's worth to save 1000€ over the mid spec version (the green one), the other one has better suspensions and XT brakes, which should be way better than Sram DB8... i don't know yet. (ps: wear a helmet)
Well, more suspension adjustments if you feel the need for it (I don't). SLX/XT drivetrain is of course a bit nicer. I feel the DB8 brakes are not far from Code so I'm pretty happy with those. I think the wheels and a slightly lower weight are the most important upgrades on this bike. Either way, both versions are great.
I’ve got the underdog. The brakes are ok but I will upgrade at some point. Everything else is really good
Update: i bought the CFR 😅
Just curious - what's your first impression of the bike?
@@MTBs I will tell you as soon as inget the bike, it's on its way from Koblenz, but i'm sure i'm gonna love it
Tse germans did it again?! 👌🇩🇪
Looks promising, so far!
radio microphone for audio noise cancellation direct to the drone. no phone please.
A tall order. I’m thinking of using an external wireless mic 🎤 instead that can connect to the phone/app.
Hey! how do you like this bike compared to the Orbea Wild?
Can't really tell from this very short test ride. But I will test the bike in the same bike park where I tested the Wild. That will be in about 2 weeks. I'll get back to you after that.
Hi again, Tested both the Underdog, CFR and the Wild H20 the same day in a bike park. I would say that these bikes are comparable when it comes to feel and suspension kinematics. The top carbon Wild is still my favourite eMTB, but the aluminium Wild is a step down. Still a fun and well performing bike though.
Thanks!! Really appreciate it!
I've got one, & a road, gravel, FS & XC bike :-)
Yay! 🙌 😀
Gen 4 with new Brose motor?
Yes, my wild guess is that new 48V motor from Brose.
My local trails have a lot of babyhead rocks. The extra travel over a levo is welcome for me.
Carefull with such dumb terms as game changer. The difference between 1 and 1.00001 falls under "change". I have no idea which unit of measure or superlative "game" falls under. So the term is meaningless.
Nu kostar ju en R9 under 20,000 kr - är inte det väldigt prisvärt?
Jodå, lite mer rimligt tycker jag. Bra ram o hyggliga komponenter.
Hi, you mention there are only 10mm spacers, is it possilbe to put there one more 10mm spacer to get stem and handlebars little bit higher? Thx.
I don't think so unfortunately. The fork is cut short. You would need a different stem or a riser bar to get the front end up a bit. At the same time I don't think the bike needs a taller front end. It works well, even in a bike park (tested a couple of red trails).
Is there a bike at REI that matches the Stoic or the Roscoe?
I don't know to be honest. I live in Europe and I've never heard of REI before. Sorry!
I usually ride in Gucci sneakers, very well suited to the purpose… 🤣 No, but seriously, I ride a XC hardtail and have always preferred clipless pedals/shoes. For MTB they are really confy to walk in (compared to the road shoes). 👍 great vid.
Hehe, Gucci together with Dior make the best MTB shoes. Everyone knows that!
Come on, man, you're reviewing a bike and you're not even getting to transition.
Transition?
Very good of you to still pay homage to the company and show their products, as those with less time than money can benefit from purchasing.
Which would you pick for road/mtb bc26r or bc30 v2?
For MTB I would probably go for bc30 v2 on the handle bar, assuming it's got a wider beam. The lighter bc26r sits well on the helmet. Don't have any opinion on lights for road bikes, but I guess you would want stvzo lights in traffic.
Thanks for taking off the bash-plate at the lower tube! That way I didn't have to check myself if an AirTag would fit underneath it, it obviously doesn't.
Awesome review and a very hones take on the hover air x1. It'S not yet there, but I fully on board with your wishlist. If those boxes are checked, I'm in!
Thank you! Yes, it's getting there. There is a new firmware out now with a side track function that I'm keen to try. But it needs to be a bit faster to keep up with bikes I think. Let's hope a future X2 will bring some speed!
So how many MTB tires will each pump fill? I
AS2: +2 large MTB tyres from completely empty AS2 Pro max: +4 large MTB tyres
Dude! Its an Enduro, Not a Freeride Bike! Its Not for Bike Parks! LOL
Debatable - it's a 170/170 bike with a Fox 38 up front.
Stumpjumper is terrible at climb..especially if it's not top spec model... I feel so short on climb in the group, TERRIBLE CLIMBING BIKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What brands and models do you think deliver the same quality and experience as Specialized Levo does? I don’t want to pay for hype around a brand if I can get a comparable bike for less.
Right now the Comp Alloy and Comp Carbon are good value for money since there probably will be a gen 4 out soon. It's like half the price from 3 years back. Other great value bikes are Canyon Spectral (2024, 160 mm up front) and Orbea Rise. But there are so many brands nowadays so it might be better to start looking at brands in your area where you can get service.
I'm 182cm and love the medium. I find size large bikes hard on my back and wrists on long rides. Plus some trails have tight turns for large size bike. The large would be better on steep fast trails with wide turns, which we don't have lot of in my area.
Yes, different problems when sizing up or down too much. I too have been appreciating smaller sized bikes more and more lately.
for those of us who have to BUY the folder because we don't want a petty theft charge on our record, this project will cost around $6...... 🤠
How is this not a game changer brotha
It kind of is. It will most certainly steal sales from DJI. But the camera is like 5 years old.
