Done this yesterday in pouring rain and gale force wind. Was one hell of an experience and scary at times
Best video ever .
Beautiful
Cheers thanks for sharing
I’m going to Snowden next week but taking the easiest way of all, the train! At 67 I think I know my limits. Thank you for taking us with you on your adventure.
the loud birds around 17 mins were oystercatchers
2:16 I can see that in Portugal, specially in the South. Definitely not in the UK with all the rain.
Just come back from The Algarve in Portugal! Beautiful place, will post video soon.
Hi I prefer scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon 4 bfast.
beautiful pics, liked the b/w ones with the birches in front of ‚whatsitsname edge‘ a lot - instant follow
Thank you!
Probably the cheapest camper van to buy, build and run, the simplicity of the boot box makes these usable for up to 5 people (if you put a roof tent on it), anywhere a car can go, these go. Great video, super photography in a super location with its velvet covered rocks and towering rock faces, the latter I believe were cut rocks from at least 1 millennium, subscribed and ready for more.
Hi Brian, Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. I am actually looking at putting a roof tent (Ventura Roof Tents I am thinking). Looking forward to future trips. Best, Harry
Live there Harry, the Peak is wild and lovely, but the Derbyshire dales have a beauty all of their own as well. I have a V.W Caddy, but it was bought for my wife who was disabled. you can get a tent for the rear end of these things as well for £120 or less. The wheelchair ramp comes down at the back giving me a lot of options, I will be looking into that this summer. Rocks and skys are so dramatic in B&W, but if you are photographing mossy woodland then it looks like colour is the way to go. Just my opinion looking at your great shots, keep up the good work.
HI William, Thanks for watching and your helpful comments. I actually have an awning for the back, but will only use this when at campsites etc. I will do a video with that soon.
great video Harry, maybe get an external mic tho to help with noises around you , look forward to more vids
Hi Roger, Good advice, thanks.
You've just been shooting in my back yard. Your image worked well, but take it from me there's wealth of photographic opportunities across Lincolnshire from the coast, wolds and idyllic villages and characterful market towns. Where the tank is, it's part of an air weapons range used by jet fighters, helicopters and other military aircraft. There are also some fascinating tidal creeks.
you missed Neptune's hut which is near the tidal bell
#outstanding Harry. Loved it and I've subscribed👌👏👍
Brilliant! Mornings like that, with the mist, the birdsong, the deer, you'll remember forever. ;) Great photography.
Many thanks!
Well, the summit is not quite the top ;) and it never took 5 mins on the last portion to get to where you were said was the top. still only 5 more mins from the building to the top ;) Well done, I did it a few weeks ago and it was a great walk!
Nice video can I ask where you put in, I fancy an explore there.
If you had dropped you gopro maybe you could have saved that poor sheep from further distress using both hands tut tut
I did drop my GoPro, that’s why you don’t see me saving the sheep. Damaged my wrist doing so which has still not healed, but hey. at least one stupid sheep doesn’t have its head still stuck in a gate...tut tut.
i wish i new the camera settings though.
Really not as hard as they make out. Just focus on the aperture to start with . A small aperture number 2.8 for example means very little in focus, large number like 11 or 22 means everything in focus from foreground to the distance. There you go, try that In aperture mode.
How much was ( and is ) breathing, an issue at this altitude ??? How much of an issue might it be for a physically fit person who hasn't been at such an altitude ??? Thanks.
Hi, Breathing is no problem. I seem a little breathless sometimes but this was during Covid and sure I was recovering from a bout of the illness. Peak is only 1085m so should not cause someone physically fit any problem...just that damn scree face !
Love seeing these routes being done, I am more of a novice hiker so stuck to Pyg up Miners down. Gonna give Llanberis a go at some point. Hope youre enjoying up hill adventures now we are back in the Summer months 😊
Legend has it that the devil himself is responsible for Brograve mill leaning to one side. Its also said to be haunted. I've been going there several times a year since 1990, just to sit and enjoy the peace. It can be magical in winter.
Thank you for making this video for us... I was planning to go at the top and was thinking to take this route but now after watching your video and your advise I have changed my mind..!!
Should get a canoe membership chap, entitles to all broads and many other waters around uk, and no sticker needed...
great images mate
Thanks mate
I like Lincolnshire as it's not massively populated so you get large uninterrupted rural landscapes as far as the eye can see. Now somewhere like Essex would be more of a challenge I think.
Hi Harry, really enjoyed your video. Congrats on a great climb, you did really well.
Did the Watkins for the first time this weekend. Hard going, probably tougher than I'd expected, but very satisfying when completed. Came down via the South Ridge which I'd reccomend.
That was a good video, I'm up on Mt Snowdon in a month's time , I was going to take the Watkins Path but now I'm well into my 60's I think I'll go for the more touristy route.
Thank you for this video 👍🏻
Wonderful video! Intrepid explorer! Beautiful tranquil locations. Great that you were able to help that sheep, no mean feat!
Stunning video! You've captured the atmosphere of the WATKIN PATH to the summit of SNOWDON (or, more accurately YR WYDDFA) beautifully and without the irritatingly intrusive 'music' of so many videos.
Great video and images. FYI, the plants at 4:45 are Ocotillo plants, not yuccas. In spring, they can have beautiful, small red blooms on them.
Basically, I hiked up solo snowdon, never done it before by myself on the 2n Jan. And thats what I found, no clear path and the incline is insane, it was testing my mental ability and I really struggled. I took a osmond route up. I only made it to clawdd Coch 931m - because the icy ridge and fog was in and my energy didnt change the last 100m elevation. This relieves me to see that I wasnt insane and its crazy! haha dont recommend this route for the first time going up snowdon and your an inexperienced hiker. I started my hike 8:30am finsihed at 3pm
Tricks?! Why photography is photography just engage. "tips and tricks?" Short cuts is that what artists do these days
Da iawn Harry! The Watkin Path flatters to decieve. Beautiful, incredible views, idyllic... Then it gets tough, then it gets tougher... Making the Summit feel like a real achievement. As it obviously felt for you. Diolch
Nice, thanks!
Great video, me and my family have recently been on a boating holiday on the broads. Will be going back that’s for sure. Thanks again for the video.
Great video! What’s the kayak name please? Thanks
Good video. So relaxing. Just subbed
Nice video. Is the path any clearer now? Thinking of going saturday? Thanks.
Yours is the second video I've seen covering this walk. On both occasions both have referred to it as the WATKINS Path. It is, in fact The WATKIN Path, named after Sir Edward Watkin. Having climbed it many times, the first time in 1960, apart from Crib Goch, it's my favourite path to Snowdon. I was fortunate to climb in a time before widespread erosion when the paths were lightly worn by the boots of not so many walkers.
Thank you for sharing your adventure..a nights wild camping is something I’ve wanted to do for some time. We are heading to this area in a couple of weeks time..won’t be camping, but the canoe will come with us, and this section of the R. Ant is on my list. Some great camera work.
Fantastic video. Did the pyg track up and miners down last week, you've inspired me to do the watkin next 👊
Best vid I’ve seen on the Watkin path. Great camera work. Well done 🤘🏼 Hopefully doing it next month 🤞🏼
Wonderful info! I'm heading to Ireland in July and hoping to get out to some little known areas for some landscape photography!
Great video, Harry! I'm just getting ideas when I go shoot at Joshua Tree. I'm here now in Palm Springs but it's 110 degrees and I think I'll come back when it's a little cooler.
I love the Ant................and from 27.49.........just so beautiful, film and music................
Stunning filming and the music as you left...............
Imagine being the brickies etc who put that building there. Maybe they got dropped off by helicopter, as imagine that work after a walk up and then the walk down.
There's a train bro 😆
@@KTMSparky Well, that makes it simple then!
