A little late to the party, so maybe you already got rid of them. But I think the green shorts could be super cute with a normal black belt, and a slightly loose t-shirt, just tucked in the front so you show the buckle. This would also work with a long sleeve shirt, a long cardigan or a cropped sweater for extra layers. 😊 Maybe add a gold necklace if you want to dress it up?
I love that your cat actually stayed after you moved him twice 😂❤ One thing that worked for me in terms of keeping rooms tidy, is to assess the storage you have, and how the room is styled. These are probably the greatest factors. If you have too much or too little storage, it will be hard to keep tidy. Most of the time, if you have the storage, you will fill it up with things, wether or not you need it. So what I did, was to first assess everything I had in my room, that actually belonged there. Then I found a piece of furniture that could comfortably contain those things, without looking squished or empty. Meaning I had room for a bit more if needed, but not too much more. This brought a ridiculous amount of peace to me, especially in the bedroom. Because suddenly, I actually 'felt joy' when opening a drawer, instead of feeling overwhelmed. I took heavy inspiration from the Clutterbug strategy in finding the right solution (for me, easy to get out, and easy to put away, clear overview of all my things). I like to add one drawer or box for 'catch all'. Once full, I have to deal with it, and decide what to do with it (new home, donate, replace, other). Not too big (or it will take forever), and not too small (or you won't have enough space for it). But styling a room is actually highly underrated. Because when you love how the room looks and feels, and every piece of furniture, you naturally keep it that way. Since your storage solutions are easy now, and everything have a place, you actually have room for the things, making tidying much easier. Of course, on a budget this can be a bit more of a challenge. But there are plenty of little things one can do to make the room a lot more cozy.

My 12 month old is teething and so grumpy today. But was absolutely mesmerized watching Alec put things away for you. 😂 My husband has the fondest memories of similar multi week full family camping trips when he was growing up. We’ve been trying to start them up again but the newer system of reserving your campsite a year in advance has really made it hard to coordinate. Hoping soon we can revive the tradition.
Oh. It gets better! I’m embracing every moment Alec wants to be helpful because I did not do that with Jackson and it’s like pulling teeth to get him to help. 🙃 Also speaking of teeth.. here’s some teething advice you didn’t ask for. 😂 If you don’t have one find your little one an amber teething necklace or anklet. It takes a week or so to kick in. But all of the teeth after Alec’s first, I had no idea he was even teething. I didn’t have one for Jackson and the experiences were night and day. Oh that’s so special that his family did that. It’s so hard to find campsites that work for multiple families and then if you’ve got RVs involved that’s a whole other thing. I know our family members that do coordinate the camp out spend hours trying to find something that will work. It’s so wonderful though. I hope you are all able to make it work!!

I got ours from Powells Owls. It was nice because there was a knot between each bead which made me feel safer about having an anklet on my baby. And then the knots could be tightened to make it longer for babies with a little more chunk. 😅 I maxed ours out. 😂😂

Maybe more of a muted coral orange would work well. I have pale olive skin and the tone can either make or break how a color looks. Anything close to nude or too grey doesnt work.
You're right, more of a coral orange does compliment my skin more. Especially in the summer when I've got a nice tan. 😊 And you're right about grey and nude as well. Definitely hit or miss depending on what it's worn with or how pale/tan I am at the time. 😅

Aubrey, when it comes to clothing and being too big on you. If you love the piece and Before giving it away, go to a local seamstress to see if he or she can alter it for you- even some snug clothing can be let out of there is enough fabric.
I like the idea of doing that. But I know myself too well at this point and there’s a 95% chance it will sit in a “good intentions box” until the day I die. 😅 Definitely an idea I’ll keep in mind for anything I really love in the future though!

Finding good quality jeans that fit, look good and aren’t hundreds of dollars is such a challenge. And 99% of the time, even if all of those boxes are checked the pockets end up looking weird. 🤪 At least we know we can always count on our leggings and tights. 😅

I was trying to think of why this couldn’t work for a teen. Then I thought of the fact that it would be FOR A TEEN and that the teen is the hurdle, not the clothes. 😅 I guess it could be done if they were intrigued by the concept. But it has to be their idea or it’s not a good one. 🤣 I know that I would not have entertained limiting my wardrobe to 33 items at that age.

The intro was so lovely sitting with all the pretty flowers and then reality hit that you have a serious bee allergy now. I developed some allergies alongside my autoimmune disease but I hope to never find out if bee stings is one of them!

Sorry about the bee sting! I got stung half a dozen times the other day and ended up feeling super sick for 24 hours with chills and a fever. Within a couple of days, I couldn't form sentences or read. Never had issues before with bees. But I am now an epi-pen person too.

May I suggest growing both broad leaf and narrow leaf plantains (an herb) in that problem area? They are great as both a medicinal and eating herb. They grow in any type of soil and need very little upkeep. AND I think they are pretty. That colour change was hilarious! Yep...just roll with it. Have too much fun on the campout. I love that out of the box thinking! However.. Plantain is half of what I’m battling in those beds. 😅 I do appreciate its presence to an extent (I have some infusing in oil right now to make a balm later☺️) but it is easily 30% of our lawn right now and spreads everywhere. I will say I haven’t tried eating it though! Just as an emergency poultice. Any particular suggestions on preparation?
I like having a stored “special event capsule wardrobe” of a few fancy or specialized pieces for a vacation or a night out. They’re bought and stored and ready for the next event without being part of the rest of my daily wear. :)

I also recently tried the app you shared for my colors, too. Definitely glad I paid for the app. It was a HUGE help in purging items that never felt quite right but I didn't know why. Learning my style type as well as color type in the app was the biggest help in understanding for me. Worth the cost when you can later on.❤

Oh no sorry about sudden allergy yikes. On topic of wardrobe i wear comfortable and breathable. Ive developed a sun allergy. Ive always had fair skin (live in scotland lol) so prone to burn but now i get rashes etc now too. I have to wear factor 50 allergy suncream So shirts over vests are my go to now. Im 45 and still like to look cute so its a balance lol. I really want to find a maxi dress to fit in with this style which is proving difficult as most make me look frumpy. Not that its been an issue this summer as were still in jeans and coats here as its rained alot with very little sunshine 😢

You’re right about it being hard to find one that’s flattering. The one I have is not flattering at all but it’s comfortable. 😅 I’m sure you probably know about it, but just in case… there is a clothing treatment you can do to add extra SPF protection to your clothing.

I love watching color analysis videos and I also did some amateur sessions for friends of mine. I always did it with draping clothes of various colors but I recently discovered that you could also use paint swatch cards if you don't have a particular color in your clothing. It would be fun to see you drape some colors onto you, ideally in sunlight. Maybe your viewers can help you with your color analysis ❤
