The city can't accommodate residents and guests so citizens get to treat themselves to paying for additional lodging. Not to mention its a slap in the face to every tax payer in the country. The fecal river is only a problem now that the Olympics are coming, otherwise it was fine. Same thing happened when Xi came to visit us. Clear out all the homeless encampments and the filth but only to roll out the red carpet for a foreign dignitary, not for the people who actually live there. @@rewindllyit doesn’t come even close to covering the costs. There are multiple documentaries and studies on this. It’s the reason why only two cities bid for 2024. That being said LA saved the Olympics in the 80s by hosting on the cheap and actually making a profit. So if any city can do it, it’s LA.
