    I have granulomatous mastitis as well, and mine is because i have hyperprolactinemia . Its horrible , i get flare ups and go to mexico for medicine because the meds they gave me here did not work . I also took cabergoline with the antibiotics from mexico and was good for about 5 years until i had an accident on the same breast 2 years ago and i got infection on it .then it healed then my other breast had an incident as well and i had 4 surgeries on that one during christmas hilodays tthen had a a biopsy and pathology , came back as granulomatous mastitis it took 5 months to heal . They said they could do nothing for me so i went back to mexico and got antibiotics . Now here july 4th my orher breast has it again . A brush fell on it (i know stupid) but i swear thats what happend and now its infected and swollen .

    I think I have this. I had a large and painful abscess a year ago and got it drained. It healed and all but now I’m dealing with the same thing again on my other breast. I even had a tiny hole on my skin that closed up. Im on antibiotics and pain meds because I feel sharp stabbing pains and a lot of swelling. I was putting heat on it as recommended by my doctor but now everyone is saying not use heat and to use a cold compression instead. This sucks so bad 😭.

    Using a knee high stocking works perfectly by putting it on the end of the hose. Washing the knee high stocking after doing laundry making sure a sink strainer is in place. I put mine in my shower and use the shower extension and let the water pour in to whatever water levels needed. I also rinse each piece right before putting each piece into the spinner.

    Newly diagnosed. I’ve been battling GM for over three months. The healing is slowwwwww and my surgeon did not recommend surgery, instead I have drainage from two sites (one was the biopsy hole and another area burst from my skin being so irritated and thin) it create a hole and I’ve been dealing with that since. Finally off antibiotics but I’m so scared for this to recur. Doing some testing to see if it could be autoimmune or diabetes related and see if diet change could help. Stay strong ladies, this disease is no joke 😭

    i would just pay attention to what i eat to see if any foods makes it flare up so you can take those out of your diet. i know it was painful to move when i had this so working out was not really an option until i started feeling better.

    My 3 year old is on day 4 of this and it’s been so hard to deal with . How long did it take for them to get better ? Also , did you and husband get it ? How long after did your second child take to show symptoms ?

  • @0ceansHeart
    @0ceansHeart Жыл бұрын

    no my husband and i didnt get it (thankfully) but our other daughter did get it but since she was older (4 yrs old) it was very mild, she had only like 5 red dots on her feet and like 3 dots in her hands, none in her mouth, she caught it like a week after though. i just kept giving the little one oatmeal baths and letting her stay there as long as she wanted to because i knew she was in pain. i think the hardest is the first week, after that it starts getting better, the scars after though will take a long time to start fading(I'm glad she didn't get any in her face)

    Ty and God bless you for making this video. My left breast is feeling exactly as you described for about three months. Can’t stand not wearing a bra at this point. Keep thinking it’s hormonal but it’s getting worse. I’m going to a Dr tomorrow. Really scared as cancer has crossed my mind. I don’t know if it is mastitis but it does feel like when my ducts would get clogged when I breastfed,(many many years ago)but I’m not able to relieve it. Why aren’t more women aware of this? Had no idea this could happen without pregnancy. Also ty to the other women who have shared here. ❤ hope you all are doing well.

    Going through this is very hard mentally and physical. I went through it in 2020 to 2021 , lasted for about a year . Went through rheumatologist , oncologist, several breast surgeons went through antibiotics and steroids .several biopsies and drainage. . Had my last flare in August 2021 and i wanted to get pregnant . I followed my last breast surgeons recommendation. Follow an anti inflammatory diet and lots of golden milk tea and turmeric . So I did . Started to exercise lose weight and take anything that inflames the body out. December 2021 i got pregnant , never had a flare thanks to God! But now i am breastfeeding and not getting much milk , do have a small clogged duct. No pain no redness or hot. But i am breastfeeding from one breast and pumping getting only 4 ounces in 24 hours . I am looking for answers as well to see if gm has a lot to do with no producing enough milk my first child was breastfed 11 months. So it really sucks ! But i am glad people are making videos ! That way i am glad i am not or wasn't alone !

    @@rubyhamza7674 hi , it did get better after 8 months of flares i learned how to control it with antiinflammatory diet and turmeric teas and supplements. But after pregnancy it came back . So now i had to stop breastfeeding and I started an anti-inflammatory diet , turmeric supplements (!they are antiinflammatory) and i found a video that said serrapeptase systemic supplements helps. I been taking all of that and the flares are not as bad the inflamation is down . Not 100 but not as bad as the first time .

    @@rubyhamza7674 hi , I've had this gm for about three years already , once again .. i had to get aspirations , but i have noticed the flares are less painful and have become smaller.. don't know if it's cause now i know it's triggers. Diet wise? No red meat ! Or avoid any meat pork chicken for a while . Try just seafood , no carbs if possible , and lots of vegetables , opt for cheese and milk replacement since is big on inflammation on the body and no sweets sodas. Yes is hard. But you will see how your body will help you with GM hope that helps .

    My breast surgeon states he has treated patients with a combo of methotrexate (autoimmune drug/ cancer drug) and prednisone (steroid). I have not followed his advice as I am not wanting the side effects. Will be a last resort for me and I’ve almost given in. Suggest these to your provider if you are interested.
