Romans 6 does not prohibit slavery, not does it condemn it. It actually says, if you read it, that BEING a slave is a result of your corrupt nature. The Bible condones and commands chattel slavery. Chattel slavery is defined as "the enslaving and owning of human beings and their offspring as property, able to be bought, sold, and forced to work without wages" Another definition is: "The condition in which one person is owned as property by another and is under the owner's control, especially in involuntary servitude." I would think so, God created us didn't he? And the 6th commandment is as follows "Thou shall not kill." However God showed a lot of his wrath in the Old Testament. You can find some of these examples in the book of Genesis. Let's take "The Flood of Noah and Companions" for instance, God's decision to return the universe to its pre-creation state of watery chaos and remake it through the microcosm of Noah's ark. Does God take life, yes, but God has that right and power because he created us. It is an action that only he as our creator can execute. We as his creations are merely made in his image, but it DOES NOT give us the right to do as he does when it comes down to taking a life. Creating life is our job, as God once said "Go forward, be fruitful, and multiply." - Genesis 9:7 We are children of God, and abortion SHOULD NOT be an option for those who believe in his word. Abortion is not murder pure and simple. That's also not the issue that is important. If you don't want your wife or daughters to get an abortion, fine. No one will EVER come and knock on your door and force them to get an abortion against their will. IT'S THEIR CHOICE. If you seriously think that it's the government's right to tell half the population that they have no control over their body, you have serious problems with your concept of freedom. I don't care whether the states have that control or the federal government, it's none of their f***ing business. That's the important issue, and it's why nearly 70% of the country (yes the general population overall) agrees that it's not the government's right to tell a woman what she can or can't do. This is the values of the republican voter. They had their choice of Rubio or Cruz or any of the others in the primaries for the 2016 election and they chose Trump. It says a lot about their lack of morals and generally, a lack of character. No good person likes a bully and that is what Trump is. No good person appreciates these low level insults that Trump constantly gave to everybody. As for the Democrats, they may not be perfect because nothing is perfect in this world, but they're saints compared to the Republican legislators AND their voting base. Come on. Republicans knowingly spread lies. Why should any person who likes the truth respect a group of liars. How many Benghazi investigations did we need because it sure seemed, per the words of Kevin McCarthy, that the republicans weaponized the Legislative branch to attack the Democratic presidential candidate. They refused to hold Trump or any republican to the same standard that they impose on the democrats because they are cheaters. It's rules for thee, not for me. Trump committed financial fraud. It's in black and white. Trump raped E. Jean Carrol. Trump claimed election or voter fraud and had at least 50 legal actions that all failed because in the courts, one must have reasonable supporting evidence to justify the action. You can't just say the moon is in venus or some feelings nonsense. Even when the republicans paid for an audit, it turned out that the republicans were lying. You cannot make this stuff up. So no. I fully expect republican voters to show their extremism. Their Christian Nationalism. Their utter lack of character. Their actions show what they are. The Republicans always appeal to the darkest part of the human nature. It may be dressed up with pining for a fake Leave it to Beaver tv show aesthetic but it is dark. Their happiness is always paid by exorbitant human suffering though I don't think that republicans consider others to be human. This is the group that put that sharp blade in those buoys so that undocumented peoples, YEARNING TO BE FREE, would be cut and bleeding in open water. and just look at this witch hunt. I guess because it was successful with Hillary, they want to do it again. You will note that they don't want to investigate Trump's illegality when it came to Zelensky and Ukrainian funding. Oh.. and of course republicans are evil. Anybody who looked into that prosecutor who was removed in Ukraine would have said "good." Do you know how many countries wanted that corrupt prosecutor removed? Oh.. and it would have BENEFITED BURISMA IF that prosecutor had stayed in power. It just shows you the darkness and evil in the republican. I'm done. January 6th. Republicans need to stop lying and start trying to be better than they are. I'm not sure it's in their nature to be good people. Liars. Thugs. Violent. Criminals. Cheaters. They should be ashamed and grateful that the left is human and kind and compassionate which is why we will not hurt them even if we despise them. We just don't want them talking to us and spreading their darkness. We want them to tell the truth. We're the parents who want them to grow up.
People that 'share in'/'govern according to' our values? The best most capable candidate? The best person available? Never mind the next time, when was the last time anyone could vote for even any one of those three things
