@talhaomer1674 күн бұрын
hello - since your GPA is low you should strive to do well on the GRE (ideally 162+ in quant and 154+ in verbal). Also work experience that is relevant to your field of Masters in a huge plus in your application. MBA needs around 4-5 years of work experience for admissions and for business analytics you can go without any experience although some experience can add a lot of value. MBA has a lot more career options and higher earnings potential whereas Business analytics is relatively restricted and lower earning field comparatively.

So if I were to advise, it all depends on your long term goals. if your goal is to be in finance and pursue a proper career is something like banking/finance/equity/hedge funds/investments, then you should explore countries like UK, US, Singapore as they are strong at that. You should consider an MBA program that feeds graduates to these industries. You should also look at other programs like Quantitative finance and financial engineering as they can also complement your tech/finance background. Work hard on your applications, especially on justifying your decision to leave an IT job for full-time trading. Also be very clear in how an MBA will help you transition into a finance-related role as programs would want to know about it. Emory, UT Austin, Indiana’s Kelley, U of florida and Ohio state are a few programs that you should explore. I always recommend young professionals to work hard and pursue the careers in which are interested in in countries where their field of work is leading from the forefront - otherwise someone who is ambitious might just waste their energies.

Talha how can we guide young children's academics in a direction that when they are 18+ they have atleast some ground, laid down, for them to take a good attempt at GREs or GMATs? What subjects to be really focused on? Any tests/ competitions they can attempt to have at least some know how of what/how these tests are?
@ali1839821 күн бұрын
Any books/ recommendations/ guidlines please? How would you guide a young (10 years old may be) sibling/ cousin?
@talhaomer16719 күн бұрын
So I always advice people to make their children prepare very hard for the SAT/ACT exam when they are in their O/A-levels (Matric/Inter level). These exams are created by the Americans and are very similar to the type of critical thinking skills that the GRE/GMAT tests at the graduate level.
@talhaomer16719 күн бұрын
Now for someone who is 10 years old I would advice to focus on the following over the next 4-6 years before preparing for the SAT/ACT exams. Key Subjects to Focus On: 1. Mathematics: o Arithmetic: Basic operations, fractions, percentages, ratios. o Algebra: Expressions, equations, inequalities, functions. o Geometry: Shapes, volumes, coordinate geometry. o Data Analysis: Statistics, probability, interpreting graphs and charts. Enroll in academically rigorous camps focused on math, science, and writing.Websites like Khan Academy, Coursera, and edX offer free courses on a variety of subjects. Regular practice through platforms like IXL and Brilliant.org is also a huge plus. Very important: Encourage participation in math clubs and competitions at all levels. 2. English Language and Literature: o Reading Comprehension: Encourage extensive reading of diverse genres. Novels can help but I personally find scientific literature to be the most effective. o Vocabulary: Regular practice through reading and vocabulary-building exercises. One should regularly start using Dictionary.com, subscribe to their vocabulary games/newletters. o Writing: Focus on clear, logical, and structured writing. Practice through essays, creative writing, and reports. Encourage daily reading habits. Books, newspapers, and magazines tailored to their interests. Very important: Make the child engage in spelling bees, essay competitions, and debate clubs to enhance verbal skills. 3. Critical Thinking and Analytical Skills: o Puzzles, logic games, and strategy games like chess. I have also found these newyorktimes wordle to be very useful as well. Very important: Participation in science fairs and Olympiads to develop a scientific approach and inquiry skills.

The best thing I like about you is that you tend to focus exclusively on US colleges. I got my BS in Mechanical Engineering from US in the 90's, and I can tell you that no other country can even come close to the US standards. At present, in a rush to leave Pakistan by hook or by crook, thousands of fellow countrymen are applying to THIRD RATE colleges/universities in Germany and elsewhere. Currently, there is a craze about Germany, not realising that their degrees (except, Technical University, Munich-TUM) are not even worth the paper they are printed on. Also, majority of them are not even recognized by PEC and HEC, consequently, these individuals will never be able to land a job in say UAE and Saudi Arabia due to attestation and recognition issue later on. Maybe, you can make a video on this issue as well. The biggest problem with our people is majority of them are HUD-HARAM, and want what they call in the US, Free Lunch, and don't wanna make the effort. I recently saw a video of an indian who got Assistantship from a professor sitting in india by contacting him through his X channel, this is how much effort they put in. You are among the few pakistanis I really enjoy listening to on youtube. Great effort on your part. Would love to meet you someday ! Take Care.

How much experience needed for Masters program
Good evening sir. I just subscribed to your channel yesterday. Can you please tell me whether the GRE will be conducted in India between July and September 2024? I tried to find it online but it isn't very clear.
It is conducted in India every month. Some slots gets booked early. You can check the online website for the slots.
Thanks for helping out!
Hello - you should create an online account on ETS website at www.ets.org/gre and once done you can check the available test centres and dates using your online account. you can also check this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dJZlmsqLZbzJntI.html

Sir, i am planning to purchase magoosh premisum 6 month's plan with installments for only one month. As i only want to cover video lesson from Magoosh so i think one month would be sufficient for covering video lessons form magoosh. Plz, guide and suggest, would one month for covering video lesson be a good approach ? Thanks.
Hello Abdul - Yes that is fine - one month is enough to cover the Magoosh videos - also for verbal if you can buy 1 month subscription for GREGMAT as well it would be fantastic as it is also very useful for basic verbal stuff. It is also very cheap as well.
Salam sir... So i want to ask.. how much time should i put in preparing myself Before appearing for the GRE. I have already cleared ielts. band 7 I hope you will guide me .. because i am trying to apply for the fullbright scholarship in 2025 which i can get hopefully in 2026. Plus should i take GRE at home because there are no exam centers here in quetta
Waalaikum Asalam, You will need around 250-300 hours in total to prepare for the GRE (approximately 3-4 months). For Fulbright you will have to take the test centre GRE as they sometimes do not accept home GRE scores.
Also do check the GRE prep videos on this channel.

@@talhaomer167 jazakAllah. I am a lecturer by profession and have 16 years of professional experience. I am seeing your lectures a day of hope. Kindly tell me should I do GRE if it is optional? I have already got admission in ASU.but not interested in MS as my internet was in pursuing PhD.what is your suggestion?
@@mzahmed6533 no need to take GRE if you have relevant significant experience or research work
Btw teaching experience is not sufficient to get a phd. Research is must or other work experience relevant to your field. Also i will advice you to take gre given that you have teaching experience
Thank you Talha!
Talha how can we guide young children's academics in a direction that when they are 18+ they have atleast some ground, laid down, for them to take a good attempt at GREs or GMATs? What subjects to be really focused on? Any tests/ competitions they can attempt to have at least some know how of what/how these tests are?
Any books/ recommendations/ guidlines please? How would you guide a young (10 years old may be) sibling/ cousin?
So I always advice people to make their children prepare very hard for the SAT/ACT exam when they are in their O/A-levels (Matric/Inter level). These exams are created by the Americans and are very similar to the type of critical thinking skills that the GRE/GMAT tests at the graduate level.
Thank you very much for your response! You are the best Talha!
Jazak Allah

Take Care.
You are absolutely spot on. I will definitely make a video within a week that is dedicated to what you just said. 🙏
We need more people like you in Pakistan! Even if through the internet! Not many people around to even be the guiding light😢
Maybe but the problem with US is also with the visa keeping aside everything. Visa is a major problem, perhaps that is why people apply to other countries.
