  Wolf turns are by far the most unattractive thing ive ever seen in the sport. I really hadnt watched gymnastics since the 90s and i dont remember them existing back then. Who decided they were a good idea to include?? Ive yet to see one gymnast make them look elegant. Even Simone Biles looks like a figure skater on dry land trying to do circles without her skates when she performs them. Gymnasts arent on ice with skates or a stage with ballet shoes. They arent meant to just turn with barefeet like that. It looks so clunky. Please make it stop.

  I saw an interview with Kristie Phillips where she discussed not making the Olympic team. She was so gracious about it saying how good it was for her to take a break from gymnastics and doing things like riding her bike to the beach with friends. All in all she seemed happy with her life

  I did gymnastics for 8 years, most of these elements are still in modern day gymnastics, they're not in elite because ELITE gymnastics are for the ELITE skills

  its just a formality to have Simone at trials she could be the first American Artistic Gymnast female to win all 6 medals in one Olympics and only the 2nd Woman Gymnast ever to do so behind Daniela Silivas of Romania in 1988 doubt she could land the Biles II Vault without a hop on the landing due to the amount of Power she has

  I wish Morgan Hurd was going to the Paris Olympics. She's finding succes as an NCAA gymnast like Katelyn Ohashi. Both would've been Olympics medalists.

  The sport didn’t evolve, it devolved and has no artistic qualities anymore.

  The sport is not evolving. It is becoming more acrobatic and less and less artístic. Next Olympic Games could very well take the music off on the floor exercises.

  “The Phillips” is the reason I now have degenerative spinal issues. I miss “Artistic” gymnastics, they should rename it to something else now because the magic is gone.

  I really enjoyed reading Courage to Soar. I don't read a great deal of non-fiction but her auto-biography was very well done.
