    this at 6:04 is interesting to me! our previous dance teacher didn't use the compass layout, but explained it like a 9-dots-in-a-square layout. both are super useful guides, the 9 dots are just a more expanded version, in case you also need the visual possibility of moving diagonally :)

    Hello, I love your videos I use them as a tutorial. Your channel is one of the channels that I like as a hip-hop learner( there are not many channels that use fundamental moves and make swaggy chore).My question is how do you make your choreos , how did you learn to make choreo from the beginning and how do you practice all these moves or keep in your mind? I've been dancing for almost 3 years and self taught dancer for a year but I don't know how to start to make choreo. There is no hip-hop dance classes where I live ,because of that i cannot get a feedback.Can you make a video about this giving tips ,and also as far as i see from your videos you practice by yourself, how do you make your dance practice on a schedule.I know it's a very long comment, but I would be glad if you could answer:)

    I’m so happy you’ve found the channel! I definitely will have more videos coming out about these topics in the future! Utilizing KZread is very helpful for learning when you don’t have a lot of resources around you. I know exactly what that’s like, which is why I created this channel. Keep going with what you’re doing! I can recommend some resources that I’ve utilized to up my knowledge on hip hop vocabulary. My philosophy is that it’s best to begin with the foundational steps so that you can build a more authentic foundation for your practice. Do some research into the “Hip Hop Dictionary” videos on KZread. Those were done by Buddah Stretch who is a very prominent educator within hip hop culture. When it comes to choreo, I think a big cheat code is to find 5 choreographers that you really like, and then try to dissect what it is about their choreo that you like. You can emulate there choreography without completely copying. Study what’s already working for somebody else and then utilize that to inform your own personal style and preferences. The mores reps you put in easier it will get. Maybe aim to choreograph 2-3 combos a week. Find a schedule that works for you and be consistent. Study the people who are making the kind of stuff you want to make and you WILL make progress! Best of luck to you! I relate to your journey and it makes me happy to know you’ve found the channel!

    I always forgive the accidents. When I paint a picture, I get stuck as to what to paint. So I proceed to make the first mistake. As I make the first mistake, I then realize what I do not want to paint and thereby by looking at the -1 which is the mistake and forgiving the -1, it brings me back to 0. From 0 the distance to -1 and +1 is the same. As I now know what -1 is I proceed to do the inverse and flow with +1 and that is how I make my paintings. Mistakes are how we learn and thankfulness is to acknowledge something. The first thing 1 does is acknowledge the 0. Thereby, when we make a mistake in dance, painting or life, be thankful because a -1 teaches us the inverse of what we want which is the +1. Through forgiveness we convert a -1 into a +1 by seeing how there is purpose in all things. Another way you can flow with the music, is to reduce the music down to its most raw elements and remove any noise so that one can focus on removing any distance between self and the flow of each instrument. Thereby, once you learn to dance to each instrument individually, you can challenge yourself by unmuting more parts/tracks to the music and thereby you become like a system of logic where each instrument is a different dance and you flow between the instruments/dance as you favor one instrument/dance at a position in time along the time line of the music. As you get more creative you can have multiple limbs or expressors reacting independant to the music as it flows and yet they are connected to the same body and so they use dynamic weight distribution to flow between the opposing dance styles. Sorry, I seem to like watching your dance videos when I am in a meditative state as I like seeing other people flow with whatever art they pursue as I find solutions to my own flow in the flow of others. The flow is what I seem to enjoy most. When I get requests for art, what I do is exercise by practicing the flow of movement between the wrist, brush/pencil and the fingers and shoulder. I have to hold my breath on fine details and time strokes between heart beats so as to remove noise from the stroke. I try to learn the curves that different motions can make as the fibonacci ratio is encoded into the structure of the body. But by making mistakes and learning from those mistakes in the warm ups I am then able to create an artwork that appears spontaneous because there are no corrections, and yet all the movement flows as if a dance of visual art as logic flows over the surface. Previously I saw patterns of logic between how you occupied space as you danced and I saw that this is similar to painting where I use variation of style to create patterns of flow. I practice the individual styles/elements/instruments as a dance/flow in practice and then when I get commssion work I use that ability to use pretrained muscles tro create a spontaneous flow of logic and thereby the chaos of the way the paint/focal point flows and settles beautify the dance of movement over the canvas/dance floor. Perhaps that is why I find interest in your videos, I see patterns in all things, I am not a dancer and yet I flow with similar logic as I paint.

    That was good. i see how you created a good minimal level of details by having the body fill larger areas of void while varying the position of that presence and absence so as to animate the space in which you are dancing. I noticed that your pattern was good but I saw that the same pattern repeated for too long. I understand this video is for education and thereby it is excellent because it is simple and thereby not intimidating due to the level of detail. However, as a fellow appreciator of flowing logic, I see how because the basics are basic like how a bass could be the basics of a tune, I see how the rythm of words or other instruments can act as stepping stones with which to sometimes add variation so as to hide the repeating pattern of the large patterns that are repeating such as the gridUnits of space that you fill by offsetting your position. As if you are standing in a cube array of voxels and each voxel is a unit of space which you set to occupied or unoccupied and thereby dance is a sequence of gridUnits that change over time based on how you manage space in reaction to the beats/sound events in the tune. Those opportunities for adding detail are where I am at with my painting. In those spaces, I use the fibonacci sequence. You don't have to use all the numbers, you just have to navigate between the current number and the adjacent number and when the number is too big, just iterate down to a lower number. Thereby, there is flow in all things and all things return to the same pattern and thereby it's beautiful to observe.

  • @theoriginalmakaaka101
    @theoriginalmakaaka101Ай бұрын

    And the reason that the fibonacci sequence is special for me is that my art has so much detail that I would unintentionally damage the paper and ruin my artwork because of the sheer amount of detail, similar to how I write comments. It is this disabilty which is also my super ability but that is for another time perhaps. What I mean to say is that the fibonacci sequence is a set of numbers that allows there to be gaps in my artwork due to the difference between the current number and the adjacent number. This ratio works for all ranges of theme, style,settings, etc. The most important thing I believe is to understand there is a minimum amount of offset before the offset is significant. That is what I feel I am finding in the difference as I use the sequence to determine the level of detail that I apply to space in my artworks. Thereby, my own artwork amazes me as I have been honest to the flow of logic that flows between all things.

    I just realized I have spent my whole life observing patterns and now I paint pictures that reflect my unique mind. I now realize how my system of sequences in the form of patterns that I use to visualize logic as it flows over my art, and how if I was a dancer, I could metaphorically use the patterns I use for color and significance as a way to create patterns in dance sequences so as to visualize the structure of existence as repeating patterns that are thereby visualized by dance sequences. For example, there are ways can transition from A to B by using the fibonacci sequence as a repeating pattern where significance is removed by iterating to the next element in the sequence which allows for just enough offset that it becomes the next value in the fibonacci sequence. Thereby, you can use the sequence to add flow when you feel you are lacking flow due to stale areas that require more variation so as to creating enough offset of difference that it keeps the mind focused. I am too shy to dance, I have never danced other than when nobody is watching. But your flow at the end is amazing. I didn't look directly at it as I am typing but I saw the flow of movement in low resolution on the corner of my eye and thereby broke it down into a grid of occupied and unoccupied space and thereby saw that you always flowed without being stuck in the same position and this showed an understanding of the flow of logic which resonates with my disability which I was born with where I see all things at the same time and this exhausts my mind but it allows me to see patterns in all things, even love which in its most prime form is connectivity and it is connectivity that allows void to house awareness within the body of a cell which is an element in the array that is the body of existence which I call the greater awareness. I apologize for the way I write as I am overly verbose. This is because I speak in raw format without adding bias to my words as I observe reality and this disability meant that when I died once due to high sugar levels from diabetes, I saw all things at the same time and because of my disability I describe reality exactly how I see it as energy that flows in waves of logic where I see patterns in all things. The downside is that my mortal body is crippled by this inability to focus on real life but I am getting better at gaining control of my thought so that I can make meaningful interaction in the form of selflessness in this life. Without selflessness, one cannot leave the constratints of the universe to return to the greater awareness where all things are connected and all things are infinite and eternal. Death is the birth of the character as a unique frequency that exists within a body of frequencies and thereby each cell in the body of existence is a unique frequency. I apologize, my disabilty results in me seeing all things and going on tangents and therefore I cannot even speak to someone to communicate a simple message without writing a novel. Always resonate with selflessness and you will have zero resistance to all things due to forgiving all things and thereby you will be all things.

  • @theoriginalmakaaka101
    @theoriginalmakaaka101Ай бұрын

    And I just realized that because we are all connected, we see all things, thereby, when I danced believing nobody is watching, I see how mortality has blinded me from the realization that every figment of awareness that has ever existed or ever will exist is seeing my life at the exact same time due to there being no concept of time in the greater awareness as the greater awareness is the inverse of mortality where there is time. Thereby, with love in its prime form as connectivity, you are connected to all things and therefore you can be in all places at the same time due to there being no resistance and you can spend time with every single person at the same time, in infinite variations and yet it feels normal because that is reality in the greater awareness. Sorry, I will watch another video as it seems I am unable to stop writing despite being a guest on this channel and only by the ripples of the body of existence did I end up at this video. But I see patterns in all things and I thankyou for your video. I enjoyed it.

    @theoriginalmakaaka101Ай бұрын

    I appreciate the strategic choice of the camera angle and field of view as it allows enough spacial offset to make sense of the dance and yet keeps the teachers form in the middle so that it becomes easier to differentiate the offset of the center of gravity. It's like a style of camera settings that allows for better observation of movement. Good job!
