Eine schöne Tour.👍 Grüße von Prignitz Outdoor.
Danke! Schönen Tag noch :)
@@AirOnTheWater Wünsche ein schönes Wochenende. Gruß Lars

So much variety in venues and conditions - but even doing the same paddle many times, it is always fresh. New discoveries, new encounters with wildlife await us.
I very much agree! Even the same location/paddle route, as you say, can remain fresh by new light conditions, weather, people, things happening, or wildlife encounters. Never had a paddle trip to date where there wasn't something new!
I enjoy coming out on the water, for me I like to come back to the same place but discovery new places is also great!🙌🤗
Well, you have access to some really nice paddle waters right where you live, so that makes sense 😎 Great to have the combo!
Normally I paddle alone most of the time and enjoy nature but I understand you completely how you mean and agree! Paddle community is very helpful and appreciate paddling with company too! Paddle community!🙌🙌🤗
I've heard rumors that there were no less than three Itiwit X500 paddlers seen on your local river waters at some point 😎 Two of them were also seen near Vaxholm among other things! And interacting with police boats. Yes, I hope to get back to more solo paddling as well in combination with group paddles, but whether on the water or in communities online, there are a lot of people that are helpful to connect with! As you say, community!
@@AirOnTheWater So many rumors, sometimes rumors are true but hard to know when😊
@@danerik.westerlind Indeed! Difficult to know really as you say 😎
Great footage Patrik. With a great message 🙂
Thanks! You're one of them! Even if you don't always go as a paddler, sometimes you turn into an island on the water 🏝️😂
@@AirOnTheWater lol At the moment I feel more like a Penguin... Bloody chilly hear with heavy rain and 18/20 Mph winds. However, looks like next week may be ok, so I may finally get on the water again after 3 weeks.
@@THE-RIVER-RAT Yikes! Yes, hopefully better weather soon!
Looks like you get to get out paddling with some great groups of people. Must have some great memories for sure.
Indeed! Each trip has its own unique feel, regardless of whether it's a solo paddle or among 115 kayakers. Stockholm being a capital, it has a few major kayaking events each year, but there are much larger events in other capitals, of course.
@@AirOnTheWater For sure, no paddles are the same. Stockholm sounds a great place to go paddling. I did go there once about 10 years ago, lovely city.
@@TheKayakCrew True story. The city is nice, but the archipelago outside is where the real beauty lies! We don't have the impressive cliffsides along the coastline as you do though.. but plenty of islands of all shapes and sizes.
Right on!
😎🛶
So true! It is very comforting to see I am not the only weird person out there ;)
😎
Sieht gut aus.👍 Grüße von Prignitz Outdoor.
Danke! Alles gute aus Stockholm!
Cool spot to stop and have a drink and rest for a while and let the world go by 👍
True! That was a hidden little gem, isolated from everything.
So true as they say you never paddle the same river twice, always something fresh to experience, even ice-cream
I guess! And I suppose no two ice creams are alike either 😂 🍦
The only thing missing is someone beating a large drum, screaming: "RAMMING SPEED!!!!"
Haha! I suppose that wouldn't be impossible to arrange 😂
Grüße von Prignitz Outdoor.👍
Gleichweise von Air On The Water 😎
So true! You can paddle everywhere \o/ I like paddling on smaller creeks and rivers, not on channels or great lakes. But I'd like to paddle on the sea some day....either North Sea or Baltic Sea. Greeatings from Germany. :)
Indeed! There's something for everyone, as long as you're lucky enough to live reasonably close to decent paddle waters. Always good to have something to look forward to on the water. Happy paddles and greetings from Sweden! 😎
Grüße von Prignitz Outdoor.👍
Grüße aus Schweden!
Pohonnya luar biasa lama ni ❤❤
Yes! It's more than 600 years old!
Now come on my friend, you forgot about finding ice cream shops again. Hehe Great video Patrik 👍
Oh man! It must be confusion from the heat (which in turn means I haven't had enough ice cream). Last trip, this Saturday, I did have an ice cream before the paddle though! Thanks 😎
@@AirOnTheWater you won't believe me but I have literally just turned my ice cream maker on. Now I can't wait until I finish my dinner and I can have some strawberry ice cream lol
@@THE-RIVER-RAT Good choice. Always!
Lucky bugger we had some real nice weather over here at the beginning of the month but it looks like it's all gone now. Hopefully it comes back soon
We're supposed to get some rain soon so I guess the sunny weather might be coming back your way!
Nice one guys But that poor camera man almost hit their Head on the bridge lol
Haha. That's an interesting analysis! 😂
That was a great trip, thanks for the company!🙌🤗
Thanks for showing me around Gävle! It was a really nice city to paddle 😎
An awesome evening paddle, fun with the ship and I love beaver splashes!😍
Right? The party boat was a fun feature. The evening ambience was amazing with the bird sounds etc, and I've never seen so many beavers during the same trip. You are privileged to have access to nature, the sounds, and beavers right in your backyard for paddles or walks!
Tempatnya luar biasa ❤❤❤❤
Right? This was a small hidden section among the reeds. Quite special.
Looks like you're in a jungle
I should steal music from your video on that theme!
@@AirOnTheWater let me guess George of the jungle lol
@@THE-RIVER-RAT Maybe more Welcome to the jungle as my name isn't George 😂
@@AirOnTheWater Good point lol 😂
Liked the paddle spin for the ferry Hehe. Beautiful footage Patrik and you reminded me I have not had my refund yet for my NRS Gloves. 6 Beavers & 7 Beaver splashes and 1 police car and 5 or 6 lamb's or where they goat's? and 1 awesome trip
Yes, they were waving, so I waved back, and then decided a paddle spin was appropriate. A few also shouted greetings and waved. Friendly ferry partygoers. 🙂That was, indeed, a paddle trip full of things to see and meet, even if most of it on the lake was just moving forward. Light and air was awesome though. Yes, those were goats - well spotted! That party boat also came back later in the dark and I could hear the warning bells for traffic further behind me as the bridges opened one by one to let it through. Just before the city of Uppsala I waited and let it pass me. That music was LOUD on the river 🙂
Beautiful place Patrik and you filmed some amazing footage. Hope your knees are ok and a very good point about having a first aid kit as you're right most accidents happen of the water whilst taking a look/walk around. Loved the way the wooden path followed the national Shap of the rocks. Such a strange looking place with them buildings on it but thats part of it's charms I bet. Great video buddy and I liked the lighthouse.
Thank you my friend! Yes, I was just mildly bruised, didn't even remember this, but thought I'd put a note in. The cases where paddlers have been airlifted by helicopter that I hear of (rare, but happens) has usually been because of paddlers slipping on land and hitting their head, or hurting their back. Interesting note with how the wooden path followed the natural shape - hadn't thought of that! This place is a bit special indeed, because on the way there and on the way away from there there aren't houses like this, whereas in other parts of the archipelago you often gradually see less and less houses, until it's only rocks and nature. Here, it's just an outpost on the outer edge of the archipelago. It's hard to capture the feel of it in a video, but it feels really awesome when you're standing there. Also, no people were walking around for the most part - I was shocked when suddenly we saw one person further away on the island. We mostly didn't see anyone during three of the days 🙂
@@AirOnTheWater Wouldn't have expected to see a lot of people on there however I thought their would have been more as people live there. Funny you mentioned hurting their backs, made think when I hurt mine a few weeks ago, that I had better remember not to twist when pulling the kayak when I'm in Scotland That would be bad. Just posted a video and mentioned our conversation about me having Dyslexia
@@THE-RIVER-RAT Yes, they only have summer houses there, so many may not be present, which is why the island seemed mainly deserted. Hope your back is ok now - and that you stay ok for the upcoming trip. I just noticed the video come up in my KZread feed - I'll check it out in a while!
@@AirOnTheWater Summer houses well that explains it. Yes my back is 100% again thanks and I wont make that mistake again.
@@THE-RIVER-RAT Glad to hear it! Stay well.
Wow, agree, what a majestic oak!🙌🤗
It was quite impressive!
Makes me think of the old Rednex song "old pop in an oak"
Some sore shoulders in the morning, great effort 👌
Thanks! Yes, I was better off the next day than I would have imagined, but I could certainly feel it, not least in those shoulders 😎
What an adventure, awesome!🙌
Thank you! Yes, this location was surprisingly nice and quaint as a "real" archipelago location far away from everything else. The next part, Myggskären, is another location that really stands out from this trip - I'm looking forward to taking a look at that footage again for the next video.
@@AirOnTheWater Yes I saw that in the video, look forward to next episode.
@@danerik.westerlind I can tell you already, it was an awesome place to be, especially with panorama views from higher up at sunset. I will also admit I cheated - there are actually cabins there on that small island that can be used for free on a first come, first serve basis! I thought that was so unexpected and a cool feature that I actually slept in one that night, while my friends camped as usual in their tents.
Luar Biasa ini dengan siapa dari mana ❤❤❤❤
This is on a small island called Biskops-Arnö, about 50 km northwest of central Stockholm, Sweden. There will be more clips from here and nearby areas coming on the channel so stay tuned 🙂
I'm glad you're managing to get out Patrik, it's been over 2 weeks since I last got out because of the bloody weather 😢
Ouch.. over here we have great weather for once. 28° C yesterday, incredible! It would be considered warm in July, in May it's just not expected. Water's warmed up - my first paddle in a t-shirt, until midnight!
@@AirOnTheWater I went to shop yesterday and had a woolly hat on and my coat, and it looks like bad weather all next week too. So no water time for me for a while. 😡😡
@@THE-RIVER-RAT Ouch. Hope it gets better soon.
@@AirOnTheWater Me too
Love the wildlife on the water, and the animals are good too 😀
Haha. The wildlife I met river paddling to another city after sunset yesterday was a large party boat with music, smoke machine and strobe lights. Also, five beavers!
Neat little hideaway,... I paddled through some reeds nearby, where I am, but, when the water was lowered,...2 bears were in the vicinity,... and, now,... I'm rethinking about if I should go back in there, hehe...🐻🐻
Woups.. bears are not the first thing you might expect among the reeds! I have a safety video on the channel about paddling in reeds where I refer to not paddling in reeds if there's dangerous wildlife. First time I've heard of bears in that context, but if you're paddling in, say, Florida, that would seem like a *really* bad idea given alligators etc. Still, bears 🐻😲
I have only been out twice with my Advanced Elements inflatable kayak. I like it so far. It tracks well and it is faster than I expected. I had no problem paddling against the strong wind. Thanks for your video it is very informative!
Glad you found the video helpful! Thanks for reaching out. What Advanced Elements kayak do you have? An AdvancedFrame?
@@AirOnTheWaterThe Advanced Frame. I don't have the backbone yet so I use pool noodles under the floor for now.
@@donalddumas6987 Pool noodles, that's creative! I've tried the AF with Backbone once and was kind of impressed with tracking and speed.
Nunnn
That sums up well the best things about paddling and some great footage of your trips. Our only regret is not discovering kayaking sooner than we did.
Same here 😎 But many years to make up for it still 😎
Music not required. Actually a huge turn off.
Thanks for the feedback.
Couldn't agree more!
😎
Great video with a lot of reason why paddling is so fun!🙌
Thanks! As George pointed out, I forgot the most important factor for a successful paddle: ice cream!
@@AirOnTheWater 😂
#11 finding Ice cream shop's you didn't know about. (Thinking about this, me thinks this should have been number one) Great video Patrik, and well edited.
You are right, it's an absolute oversight that ice cream is not number one! Thanks. Might need to make another ice cream-themed video in the future, the most important part of kayaking 😎
@@AirOnTheWater lol very true
