  Thx for going over the attacks, made the boss very easy as melee. Beat him first try with no issues. Considering Ashlands swarms you with so many enemies I honestly thought the boss was gonna be harder, but it was like an easy Elden Ring boss with more hp.

  "staff of embers doesn't do much" fucking what? Staff of Embers with a decent Elemental Magic level, 2 shots both Twitchers and Marksmen, and kills their 1 Star Variants in 3-4 shots. where the fuck are you getting that they're resistant to Fire too, Charred have no resistance to fire whatsoever despite what the wiki would have you believe. the only mob other than the Boss with any kind of resistance to Fire are the Lava Blobs which are flat out immune to fire. and even then, the Staff of Embers also does Bludgeoning Damage, which the blobs don't have any resistance to.

  I always pull out my lightning berserkir axes to deal with this guy, that thing is just too damn powerful that i can vaporize him in just 2 seconds by using special animation cancelling combo

  I was a bit worried about this enemy going into the ashlands with my friends, but after seeing this video i'm gonna make sure to stock pile a bunch of frost arrows just in case. Doesn't hurt to have a huge stock pile of them in the first place, but good to know.

  I doubt no star char marksman do 200 dmg...just dun feel they are this powerful. Isn't this should be 1star marksman's dmg?

  because it isn't 200. before getting the Embla set, I was using the Eitr Weave set, which is significantly less armor than any heavy or medium armor, and was taking nowhere near enough damage per shot for it to be 200, video is full of misinformation because apparently if its on the wiki it MUST be true.

  blocking with signs was a great tip 👍 .. i tested the bows (stormfang, rootfang and spinesnap) with the silver arrows and root armor for the +bow skill 😁 . looked like, it worked the best with the spinesnap (additional spirit dmg). took 101 arrows (a few of them missed, as he wandered arount in his tomb)...

  they also have a tendency to get stuck like a lot of large enemies, making a big trench is a good way to stop it chasing you and trying to hit your base

  So Fader does target them unlike the trolls so they only last until the AOE attacks really start coming out around 55% health. So they can help speed up the first half of the fight but you'll have to do the harder half still.

  I beat him with 71 1 star askvins, he killed most of them but they took him down in less than a minute. Just build a little room with a fire near his arena, put down the eggs and portal out, come back to hatch the eggs in 30 minutes and portal out. Come back an hour after that and they all insta-age to adults. Then break down the wall of the room so they can get out and summon the boss

  This is a test character which has the skills set to 100, but it is set to normal difficulty. Level 100 skills aren't really unreasonable for the Ashlands though, since my main character has that as well.

  @@back-to-basics-gaming not so sure about it. Especially in Ashland. where every person dies dozens of times even being fully geared. You may have 90+ skill if you deliberately levelled it, but the most realistic value is 70-80 on main weapon and 30-50 on secondary weapons. In my experience I had 75 knives lvl after have been playing all game with only daggers and during the boss fight my skill was already 63(because of a lot of deaths even with less penalty from death). P.S. 58 skill lvl is only 25% of all exp to 100. 75lvl is only 50% of all exp.

  @@back-to-basics-gaming Damn how? With every world setting left on default and barely dying non of my friends have a weapon skill above 55 and we're progressing through the Ashlands currently. Getting something to 100 sounds insane.

  @@Rainbowstunting we have training areas for almost every skill on all of our worlds. We have dedicated spots for run, jump, sneak, elemental magic, blood magic, blocking, archery, crossbows, and riding. We also have general melee combat training areas setup in the swamp with indoor spawners. If you'd be interested in a video about any of these trainers, let me know. Oh, the other thing is that my friends and I normally do no death runs where we ditch the world after the first player dies (helps with skill lvl).

  Pretty Sure Fader has 2 spawn locations, My world has 2 major Ashland Island and both of them have a Fader Alter. Being how small the Ashlands is, Fader doesnt have any many possible spawn locations as Queen, Yag, Elder (with 4 alters), Bonemass (with 5 Skulls), Eikthyr & Moder (3 alters) EDIT: Apparently, Fader has 5 Possible spawn locations. Valheim World Maps website is updated to Ashlands and each world can get 5 alters

  @@back-to-basics-gaming no worries! I also found the staff of the wild quite useful actually! he seems to target the roots with a few of his spells instead of the player (such as meteors and wall of fire). You can see this happening at 7:24 and 7:32.
