@@back-to-basics-gaming I'm a big fan of leaving my base with a particular goal in mind, so I typically wear what I need to get it done. I try to optimize my gear around thresholds of performance and utility for the purpose. That being said, it's hard to argue with the general performance and long term value that investing in the root armor provides. I think another stand-out for what it gives you in the long term is troll hide as a set for the point in the game you can begin to acquire the materials.

Your video was wonderfully thought out, but as we all know, leather looks best on everyone ;p

On very hard mode, bosses will one shot you even with heavy armour, so go with the light options such as the fenris set
