  Had to do that fuel line vent valve on my 997.1. I’d let the car sit for 10-20mins then it would fire up.

  Interesting… did it also give you problems filling up with fuel? Also, once you did eventually get it to start, would it die soon after or stay running until you would turn it off?

  Hey how about the computer for the automatic transmission how do I do that part my porsche boxter 987 is showing that needs to comunication with the manuel transmission so the engine lite is on what do I do there ????

  That I do not know for certain. My best guess is that the DME needs to be coded using a PIWIS diagnostic tool to change it to a manual transmission. Manual transmissions are very simple. Typically the only wires/sensors it has is for the reverse switch. So you shouldn’t need a module for it.

  @@Roybuilds 100% She is my personal mechanic's car. He's had it for 3 years. He's worked on my 09 S550 and 09 S63. Traded the S550 for the S63. I got bulldozed off the road on March 20 by a dipshit in a Ford F150 and was totalled. Just got my insurance settlement and in the market for an S55. I called him for his input on those motors, etc and he said he had the E55. Long story but he now has to sell it and I'm going to be the lucky new owner.

  Welding exhaust is a bitch. I'm a schooled welder. I'd rather weld pot metal than exhaust. Mainly because the base metal(flange) is 20x as thick as the pipe you're welding to it. Great job at keeping your money in your pocket

  @@Roybuilds I have a 997 Tiptronic I’m considering putting an LS in once my flat 6 gives up. I have a LQ4 twin turbo in the garage which would do nicely. What sort of power are you putting through the g96 box? I’m wanting about 800 ponies but think it might be too much for that box!

  For anything over 500-600hp you’ll need to get a turbo model transmission. They’re expensive tho. That would be an awesome swap!

  Also if I were you I’d take out the flat 6 while it’s still in good condition. You’ll get much more money for it.

  @@Roybuilds I’ve heard this too! It had a full rebuild in 2019. Still going ok for now! Not quite ready to strip it all think I’ll gather all the parts together first, I need to tackle the wiring for the clocks and stuff to the standalone ECU wiring, I’m based in the UK so wanna do it on a budget and not buy the loom.

  Spent 4 weeks fixing a 3 wheeler Honda. It was the kill switch. Same deal. Switch was bad and I couldn’t find any reason why the thing wouldn’t turn over. Finally disconnected everything and ran it. Turned over. I cut the old switch off and never added another. Kill it now by turning the gas off

  I used e55 headers. 110% would NOT recommend because they’ll never fit right and you have to cut the subframe. My car is on coilovers so now I can’t add a sway bar because of the cut subframe. Once i I have some extra money to throw around I will be specific z55 headers from mbh and replace the subframe. Spend the money up front for the proper headers, i wish i would’ve
