Tim Swain

Tim Swain

Welcome to my channel. After more than 10 years of traveling to Ghana, my family and I relocated permanently in 2019 to further the work with my non-profit, Anidaso 360. Anidaso 360 creates global leaders of African descent by providing cultural immersion experiences in the African diaspora.

Since relocating to Ghana, I've been committed to telling stories that educate, inspire, and transform. I post videos weekly ranging from life in Ghana, to business interviews, to travel tips and more! Regardless of the video, it's all for the culture. Through this channel I am connecting our culture, through our stories!

Let's say connected.

Good coverage of what these brothers are doing but honestly the gutter system needs to go and be replaced with modern storm drains and sewage systems.

Brothers and sisters in the diaspora, please don't fall for buying land in Ghana. Their system has zero credibility. One has to be extremely careful. I see please selling raw land without streets, sideways, sewage systems for tens of thousands of dollars. Any property without sidewalks, sewage systems, water and electricity is worth very little. Selling their services for thousands of dollars. In South Africa, at least they have systems in place.

0 if you do your research and look into the land lease process in the UK sometimes it's for 200 years and it includes the real estate but when that time is up you have to get out with zero left or whoever is there has to get out with zero left The land lease concept used in Ghana is creating a permanent ruling class and putting everyone else and a lower class for life if not them then their children there are no controls on renewal prices and no one has guns therefore 50 years from now someone can demand an extremely high price of renewal to your heirs and they can either pay it or leave are you and die for me personally I would not buy land and Ghana. It just doesn't make sense with the landlase I've transferred titles in the United States or the person has owned the land since 1901 1900 1906 and I have bought that property and it was in the family for that long and Ghana that's not going to exist especially for diaspora people

Ghana has a 50-year land lease what happens when you go to renew the landlase or your children who aren't as savvy as you go to renew the landlase The price could be 20,000 US dollars depending on the mood the people are in Gambia you can own land without being a citizen Sierra Leone if you qualify for citizenship you can own land I don't like the concept of being nonchalant and saying okay in 50 year lease is long enough it doesn't make sense over the long term even if you're 60 who do you leave it to what value does it have how does someone inherit a lease and have to deal with renewal price

As a south African who grew up listening to their music they were cool and I knew that they had overcome a lot. I have never seen them as rich people, honestly; besides the musicians, actors, and athletes. I think different parts of Africa view them differently and depending on the generation.

African Americans are in the land of endless opportunities...that is the point being made. Having travelled in Africa, and witnessed the grinding poverty there, I can understand how they see Americans this way. The problem in America has to do with victim mentality and the glorification of gang culture more than any racism.
