Welcome to CHAOS GARAGE! Chaos Garage is a KZread channel where we put out videos for whatever trouble we decide to get into in and around the shop. That could be wrenching on the 1978 Formula Firebird, welding anything we can strike an arc on, riding the go kart & mini bike around, and even a few reviews and how-to videos. You never know what will happen on Chaos Garage! Stay tuned to Instagram for projects that are being filmed, projects that don't make it to KZread, and plenty of behind the scenes photos.

Nice job man! I'm going to have to get into mine today. And it's refreshing to see someone on YT that's not afraid to get his f-ing hands dirty! Sick of all these videos where every pussy has to wear gloves to touch f-ing anything, lest they get f-ing cooties or something!
My truck is stopped ont go forward or reverse. I was checking & that clipped slipped off which was odd & I just pushed it back on. Truck is still not going in forward or reverse.
Put new carb on mine still got run choke till it gets warm up someone said adjust pilot screw got a video on that
This worked for me. Thank you.
Glad it helped!
Are there any videos that actually show how to fix what they say. Instead of a mother fuckin 20 minute story about all the other horseshit that means nothing? Asking for a friend
Not 2000 c2500. Appears to be under plastic cowl at wipers
Your video never helped at all don't even know if you can push the down button where it says erase
Tighten the pinch bolt on the tool. No sticky electrical tape !
THANK YOU! HE WENT TO FARM AND FLEET , AUTO ZONE, ANOTHER LAWNMOWER GUY AND IT TOOK THIS VIDEO. O THINK HE HAS IT NOW.
I have some old rust reformer and other paints and primers and have a radiator shroud (not going to use long term, will eventually stand up the radiator, it's a 4th gen camaro with the tilted radiator) and little brackets for holding the headlights in as well as a steering linkage I still need to take apart (and replace the rag joint with metal). The shroud had a little spot of rust which did piss me off a bit as it was powder coated from BMR already. The headlights even had a little rust on them and the brackets had a ton of rust. I wire wheeled the loose crap off the brackets. I'm hitting everything with rust reformer then a primer then a top coat, because why not?
Dude you are the Man,, Thank You!
Glad I could help!
What’s the purpose of the fuse?
Just in case water gets in and shorts the strip, it won't melt your battery.
Im looking for an odb2 tool for personal use do you recommend this product?
Yes, it is a little dated now but has worked fine for me. There are also cheaper bluetooth options you can pair with your phone if you just want to scan/reset codes and see emissions information. OBDLink and Blue Driver are some good brands but you can get a basic one that may do the job for around $15 on amazon or ebay.
I your keyswitch sticks a litte after you crank make the OBS lite to cone on till u turn it back after its cranked if your key switch is sticky
Bro, you’re the best
Glad I could help!
Thank you so much for your video! It helped me do the same at my exactly 1995 model! Won't be necessary to do a lot of service just to replace the fuel pump in the future. I'm from Brazil and here we don't have a lot of old Camaro models. Best regards!
You're welcome!
Will that cause rubbing on the right side.
Doubtful. You may have another component that is worn or broken.
$20? Made in China for 50cents or less! LOL
This channel 📺 is fre😊aking 🦆ing awesome 😎! You deserve far more subs! To your success!
Thank you sir.
Hey!I have a 2004 recon es similar to urs but the head lights will work it has a new solenoid good battery but no dash lights or starter do u know my problem?
Neutral light on the dash or starter won't work unless it's in neutral. If it is, then I would first look at the key switch to make sure it's working properly.
Idk why but mine doesn’t have any screws t 8 in mine and I’m having trouble getting it apart
I hear Burn The Preist! Jk I know it's Lamb of God, I'm just displaying my metal knowledge 👹
My understanding is that you have to do 2 coats and paint over that with rustoleum enamel, it works for me,5 years and no bleedthu, outside lawn furniture
I'm curious if that piece of steel is still around and it's condition
When your saying It is a 5.5mm and nobody can hear you lol
Why use the old bracket when you can buy them complete with bracket new coil and module
How long does it last with a 12v battery?
I guess that depends on the battery. I'd imagine on a deep cycle battery at the rated 60 watt, you'd probably get around 24 hours. Take your amp/hour of your battery and divide it by 5. That should be close to accurate. 60 watts/ 12 volts = 5 amps, 125 (example) amp/hours / 5 = 25 hours
Great Video! How would you do it in series? Like I want to do this with 4 lights and one plug. A video would be great 👍
I would wire each light in parallel on main power wires. You would need beefy main power wires (8awg minimum). I am unable to make a video in the next week or so but maybe this diagram will help explain what I mean. i.pinimg.com/736x/68/8c/88/688c888b0c0ee26083c588da629a45a0.jpg
Followed instructions gets very hot melted lights on first one 1:11
Well fuck. I don’t have a drill. Didn’t know I had to have all of my shop tools to drop a fucking tire 😂 plus gm cars are all rusted so probably won’t drop and need all those extra shit
I'm 61 years old and a woman and this was very educational to me I need to change mine and I think I can do it all by myself now so I thank you very much
Glad I could help. Good luck!
My carb looks different. The set screw dosent have a flat head bit on top. It’s like a plug. Is that normal? I can get it to turn but it just dosent come out
I'm not sure on that one my friend.
Awesome video and a fantastic final product. I like your attention to detail. How many of those Coors Lights did it take to complete one light? LOL
Thanks! I guess it can take as many Coors as you want depending on how fast you want to work and how good you want the end product to be. :D
Painting by trade. Commercial/Light Industrial Black will always. 100% show less rust than white. Whenever you walk in a building now a days.. look up. If its an exposed white pan deck, find the sprinkler pipes. If the painters who used dryfall didnt use an oil primer or Pro Cryl to seal those pipes you will see rust. Always. 100%. If its a darker color or black deck find those same pipes and you will never find rust because rust hides itself in the black paint. We never use primer on black pan decks because of this. Its a waste of time and material costs. Also. To make this test actually a quality example, you have to paint these with the same top paint/coating. You can't grind primer and expect it to be able to withstand any damage. Its a primer. Its built to adhere and allow paint to adhere to a substrate. Its not meant to withstand damage even if its a high build.. one coat isnt intended to be grinded on. Its meant to be painted. But from this it looks like Rust Reform is an interesting primer for priming already rusted substates.
Thanks for the insight.
Great Video. Very helpful Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much you are a great help
Happy to help!
do you really need two of them stacked?
You can try one of them but it may not get the sensor far enough out of the exhaust stream. Ideally, you want the longer ones so you don't have to drill em out but I can only find the short ones locally.
@@ChaosGarage thanks i'll stick with two i don't want to do the job twice
Apples and oranges the primer I believe is for body panels the reformer for frames and such
FORD !, GREAT IDEA ! , PLASTIC BUSHING ! I guess a washer and carter key just didn't work that great !
Very true. It kept slipping off after this so I ended up drilling a hole for a cotter pin anyway in the 2nd part to this video. It held on then until I eventually sold the truck.
right on MAN, I just got finished fixing my 2000 Ranger abour a hour ago, the switch springs rust away and left rusty slime all over the contacts, install new switch, checked plastic bushing, it was still in good shape, Ranger is back up and running, do have a new ford part bushing in toolbox in case that becomes a issue :)@@ChaosGarage
Hope you don't need the spare part for a long time!
Did any of you have the problem where when coming to a stop the brake pedal will pulsate kinda pushing back. I have code B0201 Also left speed sensor code Which im fixing now Any help much appreciated.
I think a malfunctioning speed sensor may be the cause of your pulsating pedal. I would definitely fix that first and go from there.
@ChaosGarage thank u sir. I did ficmx that. But it's not pulsating the exact same way alittle smoother. But it's still there. Code for wheel sensor is gone. B0201 hasn't came back yet. Nor have I seen the abs light.
Progress! If you still feel pulsating in the pedal, maybe make sure you don't have a warped rotor or uneven brake pads. If you're not getting any codes, it seems like your ABS stuff is fine.
That is the Solenoid not the Relay....change your title here....
Excellent video and very clear, Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
uummm ... this did not show the clip being removed or installed.... lol
Yeah you helped somebody. 🎉
I need all this Equipment Where to get this stuff? please tell me
There are links in the video description.
Was that a smd 5050 or 3528 led strip ? Good informative work 👍
These were 2835 but it appears there is a 5050 new version out. Here is a link to what I used specifically if it helps: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BSODFOK/?th=1
A word of warning for others watching this, if you have an 1/8" of fibrous material (grass, hair, dandellion fluff, etc.) that has been spun around the shaft and compacted by numerous pistoning action from years of starting the mower struck in between thae washer and the cap, this is not an easy job. There is also supposed to be a special tool to remove and replace the C clip. Finally was able to press some out by pushing down and turning and an application of silicone spray to unwind about half of it and was then able to get the cap down enough to get under the clip. He doesn't show any special tool but there are convenient splices there. I was able to do it with a screwdriver and needle nose pliers but it isn't a two minute job. More like two hours by the time I unwound that hard as a gasket fiber mess.
Try tapping on the starter to get the impeller to engage. I clean all my connections and it still clicked but when I tapped on the bottom of the starter it started right up !
You didn't explain where exactly you're cutting. Does this apply to a 4th Gen Firebird?
When yours went bad did your truck all the sudden start idling rough also? Just cleaned and reinstalled my grounds and that wasn't it. I have mine out now with the top off to check the joints.
My 04 looks like a 2019 underneath and my torqs screws came out like they were just put in 6 months ago. 1 had a little dirt in it besides that they all came out easy.
My abs light never came on,my pedal went to the floor and service brake system came on.
Wow this video is painful.. no one cares about your "youtube lottery"
