No, only from 2016 onwards they added the button.
So the main issue with this cars are the gearbox?
If it has not been properly looked after, then yes.
my Sportage CRDi 184 bhp becomes a crazy toy with the raceship on!!! Amazing difference, More response and more power, better gas mileage. I LOV IT ! Same on my Montero Sport before . Big difference . And with only basic raceship.

Yes they are, however with any car if they are not looked after they suffer. Check my other videos I explain common issues with them and what to look out for

Honestly no, I spend a lot on time refilling so much so I've had comments from the people that work at the petrol stations 🤣

You can, every once in a while I would refill with 99 but now it's mapped I just use 99
Did you remove the back box as well? Or just the mid resonator? (I see you got the perf exhaust)
Just the resonator, thought it would be too loud without the back box

They are awesome cars mate. Just look out for ones with dodgy gear box's thought apart from that they are brilliant. Let me know how you get on.
What would be nice is a 0-60mph or 100kmh before and after these additions. IMO if there is no discernable difference between 0-60mph then I would take a hard pass. Dyno results don't necessarily always reflect better street numbers. I have had expensive intakes actually perform worse 0-60mph than stock.

You cant complain about petrol on a 2 Litre. From my MK7 GTi I get 4.5L/100km because I drive normal, have had it for 5 years now and Im really over the whole speed and exhaust farts thing. If you drive spirited of course you going to consume 8l/100 upwards and you will certainly fill up alot.
Astra j is defo better overall. Looks better imo and more desirable with adaptive dampeners and LSD, better seats, better interior for long distance journeys. That being said i love the mk5 vxr too it can be modded to look pretty damn nice.
I’ve worked for several main dealers… every single one of them I can honestly say have done a worse job than an independent specialist would… the money they charge for a stupid stamp is outrageous… what most don’t realise is that most main dealer technicians are on a bonus incentive scheme.. if the job is done quicker than the book time that’s been quoted.. there’s a bonus for him/her. Ever been rung on a service & told you need a brake fluid change?… Yeah… that bottle of dot 4 he booked out went in the bin. Unless you’ve worked in these places… you’ll Always be naive enough to think they’re giving you the best quality of service. Wrong. Go to a specialist regardless of what car you drive. If it’s out of warranty.. DO IT YOURSELF!
On top of that, you have customers bringing their cars in for things like tracking paying an hour labour, £140 plus vat an hour. Only to have 18 year old me doing it with 2 months experience and an apprentice wage of £4 an hour. 🤦🏻♂️ I realised pretty quick things aren't what they seem at main dealer 😂
Method 3 to make it pop… remove middle silencer, make rear silencer smaller and do a precat delete, Will achieve Ok pops and bangs. Method 4 all the above plus main decat delete, much louder pops. Method 5 to let all hell break loose then remove whats left of the rear silencer and straight pipe all the way through. It will royally piss off your neighbours, annoy the wife and set every car alarm off in the vicinity. I like doing all the above i just have to watch for the long arm of the law and keep it subtle when driving by 👮♂️🚔💥😂

Hi, yes still have it only problem I've had is a coolant pipe splitting, other than that I've had no problems

Nice! What have you had done to yours? I haven't had the back box delete done yet I'm undecided if to do it or wait and get a different exhaust.
@@TheLondonCarScene Hi mate no l just had the resonator removed by Powerflow and it is better, back box delete would be massively loud so l avoided this in the end l didn’t also want to spend £900 either especially as these beasts are expensive to run anyway lol

Hey mate, car sounds insane! Did you get both the resonators removed or just one of them?
Hi mate, car is available with 2 different versions of exhaust the standard exhaust, which has 2 resonators or the AMG performance exhaust which is an optional extra but only has one resonator(otherwise exactly the same) Mine is the performance exhaust so I only had one resonator to remove. How do you go about getting them to cover 75 percent towards the gearbox replacement?
buy a pre face model...i strongly advice you dont and buy late 2015 begin 2016 and onward models.

Mine is a 2014 they had a face lift in 2016, simlar issues but not as common as the pre face lift. if I knew when I was buying then I would of gone for the FL so try go 2016 onwards if possible.

Why would you buy from eBay in the first place , this could be not original. Secondly you are from the UK ,there is a very good tuning company there called TDI tuning.. you should try them

It’s so hard to find insurance nowadays. The only quote I got was £17k. Have you found anything yet?

Thanks mate, seem to be a lot of ppl come from thr VXR to the A45, definitely has to be mapped as the power delivery is a little bit sluggish standard.
I feel your pain with the A45… I bought mine back in March… dream spec in Elbaite Green then within 3 weeks of ownership the gearbox was wining. Luckily enough the company I bought it from set me up with a decent warranty and it was all covered. Just as well as it was £6500 fitted. But it’s every time you get in it puts that smile on your face and it turns heads everywhere you go. I say go for 500bhp 👍🏻 Look forward to the next one
Thanks mate, yeah a few issues here and there with this type of cars unfortunately 😕 i done the same and took out a decent warranty as I knew if anything went wrong it would be a massive bill, annoyingly as I didn't have any error codes come up I couldn't use it this time round.
